Isn't it typical that bond agents charge a fee of 10-15% of the total amount of the bail?

Yes but collateral has to be put up to cover the rest of the amount. With his dad being on military disability and his mom retired they would have limited income. Depending on when they bought their house (think they said on the phone they had been in FL for 5 years) they probably WAY over paid for it, it is probably only worth 1/2 what they paid because of the collapse of the housing market in FL, so I doubt they have much if any equity in the house. We know GZ and wife were renting and on unemployment much if not most of their married life, so I doubt they have anything at all to put up as collateral. Don't know about GZ's brothers finances, so that leaves the website with the paypal donations. And none of the family on the phone for the bond hearing conveniently had any knowledge of those funds, (yea right). :eyeroll:

I don't know either. But have you seen evidence that he definitely stayed in his house after his 911 call ended? Did his 911 call last for 20 minutes, thereby making it impossible he went back outside with a camera?
Well I can't prove the negative. So I will ask this:
What evidence have you got to support these accusations against this witness?

They only have to come up with $15,000 for the bail but if GZ's parents are putting up their house, it may take a few days to pull that together. I'd bet money MO'M had the papers all prepared to do just that.

I'm still not understanding the advantage of GZ going out of state. Distance from MO'M so can't assist with defense, monitoring may be more difficult and, personally, I don't think he should be allowed to leave the state.

I watched the hearing again, and though I wanted to see something, I thought GZ came off as rather neutral while sitting at the defense table. I'm sure he was told to always look straight ahead and keep his emotions off his face. I was a little shocked to see him shackled the way he was. Don't really understand that, where did LE think he was going?

It wasn't the state. Someone posted a few threads ago that the state offered to not have shackles, but the defense was okay with it, or something like that. Like I posted before, those shackles on him made him look smaller and more frail, which is the look I think the defense wanted for him.

I would really like a link to that claim since I don't believe that to be the case.

Plus the one released by ABC doesn't match color pattern or style to the one he is wearing at the police station...Now, ain't that special? JMHO..

I watched the first video an didn't see a side by side at the end. Thanks.

In Alabama you only have to pay 10% of bond to be released, don't know if that is the case in Florida. I thought the reason he was not yet released was due to issues of where he would be staying, the GPS monitoring, etc..

:moo::moo::moo:

GZ's family is only expected to post $15,000 cash - 10% of the $150,000 bond. I would assume that the details of out-of-state safe housing were in the works prior to the hearing. :moo:

But they have to put up property or something of value to cover the remaining amount.

I agree. I can't understand all the special treatment he's receiving. He should be treated as any other person accused of a crime in the state Florida. He shouldn't have been allowed to wear a suit during the bond hearing. His family should have been made come to court if they were testifying on his behalf. He should have not been allowed to address the family during his time on the stand. He shouldn't be allowed to leave the state of Florida. I'm sick of all this special treatment. He is an accused murderer and he should be treated that way. Perhaps if he had been held accountable for his previous actions, Trayvon wouldn't be dead and laying in a mausoleum right now.

I know about the collateral but was responding about the 10% cash bond.

I don't have time to post anything right now since I'm about to leave and go somewhere, sorry about that. But someone did post about it when we were talking about the shackled in the last thread or two. One of my posts was about the shackles as well. I'll try to find something later when I'm back home.

Respectfully I ask, where did this information come from that said that GZ and his wife were unemployed most of their married lives?

If you look at these still photos, taken at GZ's bond hearing.. REALLY look at them.. magnify them to about 150-200 and really take a good look at his head... these pictures say more than a thousand words. IMO-JMO-IMHO-MOO.

There is only one still photo of the back of GZ's head, taken from a distance, but I see absolutely out of the ordinary? Looks like a normal head, see no blemish's, no out of the ordinary bumps, nothing??? So guess you are correct they do say more than a thousand words, obviously GZ's "injuries" were just tiny scratches that healed not leaving even a hint of ever having been there.

I have all ideas who this was on the scene so quickly after this happened and I would love to see that person's cell phone records from before the time Trayvon left the complex heading to the store all the way through until the time of the murder.

With all the criticism of the investigator on the stand by msm, he seemed to me to not be fazed by O'Mara examination. He had a confidence about him, and the SA continues to say they have more evidence that hasn't been revealed. I wonder if FT's constant presence in the media might have something to do with his involvement that night. Is he afraid he can be tied to GZ's actions that night by texts or calls close to the timeline? Just speculation and curiosity, and it probably isn't correct. But I too wonder about others involvement that night. GZ's family emphasized that GZ wasn't on patrol that night, and that he was going to the store. They must realize that would put a different slant on things. Because they put so much "light" on why he was out that night, I am suspicious. Does he always go to the store with a tactical flashlight and gun?

I was looking at his head during the bond hearing and thought there is no sign of injury to his head. If he had significant wounds there should be something noticeable. I would like to add that in places of injury to the head, hair usually doesn't grow back where there are scars. That didn't seem to be the case with GZ's head.

Well, the family isn't revealing how much money has been raised via GZ's website. I'm sure they know, however. Coincidentally, the website has been updated as of Friday, April 20th.

After reading the vile and disgusting comments appearing on several online news articles, I have no doubt money is pouring into that PayPal account from his racist and bigoted supporters.

IMO

There may also be some supporters who are not racists and bigots who just think he may have acted in self defense. In my opinion those are the people most likely to donate.

Can anyone shed light on how a SYG hearing is presented before a judge? Is it exactly like a normal, formal trial -- except there's no jury?

Or is it more abbreviated, like the bond hearing?

JMO, but with all the evidence of provocation and possible cover-ups, I don't see how a judge could grant GZ immunity.

How soon do you think it will be before the SYG hearing?

So it's really hard for them to come up with the money, but they'll have it by the middle of next week? Must not be that hard, then. I can't imagine my own family coming up with 150,000 less than a week after a bond hearing. Sorry, but I can't muster sympathy for them. I think they already have the money, and are just waiting to the middle of next week to make it look like it was hard for them to find it.
FT on Erin Burnett Friday night said the web site had brought in over $200,000. http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/crime/2012/04/20/erin-taaffe-zimmerman-websites-bond-money.cnn

If that's true, that could cover the entire bond. And if that's true and GZ lets his parents put their house up for collateral, he is a bigger sleaze than I already thought.

IMO, JMO, etc.

From O'Mara questioning her during the bond hearing.

:what: OMG!! It is not just the back of GZ's head... there are places on the top, back AND sides of his head that clearly show scarring. In addition, when I look at the new bloody photo, I see scrapes that look just like the scrapes I have gotten on my knees when I have fallen onto concrete. JMO-IMO-IMHO-MOO.
