I would think in addition to having a bail bondsman in the state of Florida that he would have to have one in which ever state he is planning to hide out in as well. If he jumped his bail, a Florida bail bondsman wouldn't have jurisdiction over him in another state. I still think it's ridiculous that he is allowed to leave the state where he is accused of murder.

It wasn't the state. Someone posted a few threads ago that the state offered to not have shackles, but the defense was okay with it, or something like that. Like I posted before, those shackles on him made him look smaller and more frail, which is the look I think the defense wanted for him.

IMO, GZ's appearance in court was 100% staged and rehearsed... keeping the shackles, the apology, the diminutive voice affect, the facial expression(less) -- all of it.

This was Public Relations 101, as we say in the business. It is image manipulation for the purpose of garnering sympathy.

If they could have dressed him diapers and had his mama carry him in cradled in her arms, they would have. A good substitution for that was to have him swimming in a church suit draped in a security chain.

The effect? Thoughts are seeded with the judge, the public and potential jurors as to how this little man had to really fight for his life. Poor thing.

I would say that is very possible. They would have no jurisdiction over him if he went out of state.

Yes, he did look rather small. So if any witnesses claim they saw a larger man on top-who was the larger man? I don't think that's Zimmerman-he isn't a large man.

Sure. A bail bondsman has no obligation to post bond. Its possible they may have to talk to more than one to find one that is okay with him being out of state.

I dont think he will have any problem finding a bondsman however, I think he is a low flight risk.

Whoever showed up at the scene and took this picture obviously knows George and his wife because how else would this person call George's wife and tell him "Your husband shot someone" without giving a phone number?

I wonder if George could have had a chance to call someone he knew in the neighborhood after he hung up with LE? Maybe before he called LE? I don't know?

I don't doubt he knew people in his neighborhood as he was the Neighborhood Watch Captain, it's just strange that the first person to show up would know how to get into contact with his wife? Maybe he did have a chance to give the neighbor his home phone number?

I don't know? Wouldn't mind getting a nice juicy doc. dump tomorrow with his cell records for that night included!

:what: OMG!! It is not just the back of GZ's head... there are places on the top, back AND sides of his head that clearly show scarring. In addition, when I look at the new bloody photo, I see scrapes that look just like the scrapes I have gotten on my knees when I have fallen onto concrete. JMO-IMO-IMHO-MOO.

Then we must be looking at different photos from the same link? Just had my eyes checked and have new glasses, so I can rule that out. Maybe you could post the pic's you are referring to and circle what you think you are seeing?

How is that any different than any other trial? Even the big trial from a few years ago the defendant looked nothing like the photos from before the event.

Yes a bail bondsman can refuse accept GZ's business, they would have to keep moving on to the next bail bondsman in hope of finding one that would be willing to put up the money with the conditions set by the court.

I thought that his height was noted as 5'8" and weight 185# when he was taken into custody. The mug shot and jail info must be posted on one of the Trayvon threads. :moo:

Oh, boohoo! GZ's bond was too low, AFAIC, and in no way reflects the seriousness of the crime. Many, if not most, families don't have the ability to pay high bonds that we've seen. I don't feel the least bit sympathetic towards Mr. O'Mara's client or his family, and they sure as heck won't get any financial support from me. :moo:

I just wonder if that is an underhanded way to solicit monies/donations for the GZ websites.
I just can not believe that the family can not come up with 15 grand. Parents are retired and most retired folks do have access to reserve funds. Be it a 401K or others .
No big deal that GZ stays a little bit longer in jail. After all , he is among buddies that were willing a big CYA for his alleged crime.
