Why wouldn't they canvas that block? They had no idea where he lived. Why wouldn't they suspect he lived in one of those apartments on that block?

Because GZ lived there, was the "Captain" of the NWP and said he did not know TM and that TM looked and acted suspicious and was headed to the back gate. LE had no reason to believe TM lived there. jmo

I think what she was trying to say is that if you're gonna railroad a man for political reasons, it's particularly unacceptable to railroad someone who has a respected 30-year career and a family with little children. jmo

That's exactly what she was saying.

How do you know they didn't? The brother may have been home, but may not have answered the door for whatever reason (My younger brother has been instructed to not answer the door for anyone - if they need to get in, they have a key). Or may have not heard the knocks.

POLICE!!!

That word would get a different response than ringing the doorbell...IMO

Well you would think they would have seen them come home.
So, the family may not have seen the police activity or crime scene from the way they came home, but the police definitely should have seen the family? :waitasec:

Right now there are two consellors that are extremely vocal in their support of chief lee. Patty mahany and anotherperson. cant get his name right now
Not caught up yet, but Randy Jones, maybe? Patty and Randy voted not to issue a vote of no confidence in the begining.

He didn't live there.

And his Father was out for the evening.

So, if the brother didn't answer, and I think that is possible, they would have moved on down the line.

I am in the United States and I will gladly pull the info for you.

The minimum requirement for a teacher in the state of Oregon is a Bachelor's Degree. Since Oregon is not the highest performing state in terms of education, it would seem logical to believe that standard is applicable in most states, outside of very rural areas.

If there is info out there that states otherwise, I'll certainly accept it as fact for that area.

You would think so. They are trained in that sort of thing.

He disregarded his own 30 year career by making statements in the manner that he did. His children are irrelevant in the matter...IMO

Didn't they get home around 11 or so? If the police tape was up wouldn't they have noticed it also?

I'm not sure my 14 year old DD would answer to "POLICE".
I hope she wouldn't. Anybody can yell that word.

Yes please do pull the info for me, but for privacy sake you may want to PM it to me so you do not give your location on the public forum.

And I don't agree with her. So, there we are.

Yes, I knew what she was saying. That's never stopped it from happening before.

Maybe he was upstairs and didn't hear it over the basketball game he was watching. Maybe he fell asleep? Maybe he head headphones on/in? There was only one person home - a 13-year-old. It doesn't strike me as unusual he may not have answered.

Must be very different where ever you are, and must not be in the United States either. A certified teacher in the United States must at the very least have a bachelor's degree.

Just agreeing with what you posted....

ALL states do require at least a Bachelor's degree....Louisiana included ( I worked there for years in public schools ) many specialties require additional certification in specific curriculum areas.

Community two year colleges/junior colleges do NOT offer Bachelor's degrees. That is a four year curriculum, although it can be completed in less time if one takes a large class load each semester and/or a few summer sessions.

How would they know that was them? Are you assuming they would know what kind of car they drive or what unit they would be going into?

How would LE know who they were?

If the police were watching the house and saw that it was dark they might have noticed lights being turned on.

But I suppose they might have thought it was not urgent to contact families that did not appear to be at home at the time of the crime since they wouldn't have seen anything.

First of all, just because defense is asking doesn't mean state is going to do it.

For some people, the very request is ridiculous. Me, for example. While I myself would not want to be in jail, it was probably the safest place for him to be. He was being offered round the clock protection there.

I don't think they went knocking on any doors or one of the close neighbors would have known him.
