My father, a defense attorney, was one of the most honest, forthright and caring men you could ever know. At his funeral the California State Attorney General led the eulogy.
He was respected by Prosecutors, and the judiciary alike.
When one of the prosecutor's sons was arrested, he called my dad. Because he knew how honest and capable he was. I think it is very short sighted to put defense attorneys down, in that way. imo

He refrained from going after them with a gun and let the deputy find them alive, didn't he?
I am not sure it's a completely comparable situation.
This tells me that not everyone believes he is a cold blooded murderer - maybe that's MOM's strategy in announcing the funds...letting the SP know the jury might not be the slam dunk they were banking on, so to speak.
From what I'm reading here, it looks like GZ may have committed a felony, in addition to his Murder 2 charge.

The shape of that man's face does not resemble GZ's IMO.
I think JVM either got wrong info or the show just used this video as filler.
I hope she has to admit her "mistake" like the rest of the media has had to when they made "mistakes".

More tea, anyone?

Thanks for that information!
The judge wanted all the information/details on the money given to the SA's office. Now we know why.
It will be interesting to see how this turns out.
This is what I think. And it worked, look at all the attention it got.
But your husband didn't follow them and shoot them, right? We can't ignore that major fact that sets this case apart, otherwise we are comparing apples and oranges.
And there were no "obvious" signs that Trayvon was doing anything dangerous or wrong or illegal. He wasn't a group either, just one teenager walking around not bothering anyone.
Driving around too fast on loud and dangerous four-wheelers is pretty obvious compared to walking along in public talking on a phone drinking an iced tea.
"Obsession" with Trayvon in particular may not be the operative word, but George was certainly obsessed with being the Neighborhood Watch captain in light of the many and various 911 calls he had made. JMOO
Edited to Add: I wouldn't compare calling police one time out of real concern for some teenagers to what George did.
I don't see how a judge can read this part:I believe nothing will come of this...
The State should have gotten RZ,Jr to testify at the bond hearing. Since they didn't, no one will be held accountable for this misinformation. They have found a way to once again, circumvent the law to go on their side. This is one deceitful family, is my belief...They all know how to get around the law and will not have any repurcussions behind this misstep. I place the fault to the State for not getting RZjr to testify about this...ShellieZ told the court, she knew nothing about the website, her BIL was monitoring it and the state failed to get him on the record...:banghead:
I'm not so sure obsessed is the right word to describe Zimmerman's interest in Trayvon during that short time frame.
We had an incident not long ago where a couple of teenage boys were riding up and down our long winding road on 4-wheelers at fast speed. This had happened before. Not often, but several times before. My guess is the boys were taking advantage of their parents not being home. Out of concern for their safety, this time,my hubby called the sheriff's dept. Hubby tried to keep an eye on the boys until a sheriff's deputy arrived. I know the boys riding the 4-wheelers were breaking the law. We have no proof Trayvon was breaking the law. However, I don't think this matters. Zimmerman thought Trayvon might be breaking the law. In your opinion was my hubby obsessed with the idea of not letting these boys get away?![]()

O'Mara on Friday revealed a new website, www.gzlegalcase.com, and another site, not yet live, that will host a defense fund. The only thing on the site Friday morning was a statement about the donations.
Regardless of what happens to the contributions, O'Mara intends to open a legal defense fund for his client, he said.
I think it is a comparable situation as to whether obsessed is the correct word to describe Zimmerman's interest in Trayvon. My hubby was being diligent in his effort to keep an eye on the boys until a sheriff's deputy arrived. IMO
Whether my hubby was carrying a gun or not really has nothing to do with it. We don't know Zimmerman went after Trayvon with a gun. All we know is Zimmerman was carrying a concealed gun. My hubby often carries a concealed gun. If on this day, he had been carrying his concealed gun, would we assume my hubby went after the boys with his gun? IMO
Suppose one of the boys stopped the 4-wheeler, got off, and attacked my hubby? Add Zimmerman's story. Is it fair to assume my hubby went after the boys with his gun?
