I'm sure because the judge in rotation after Jessica Recksiedler was Judge John D. Galluzzo who is actually very good friends with O'Mara and is godfather to one of O'Mara's children. Because of that, he took himself out of the rotation. Can't remember where I read that so will just say my opinion until such time I can find the link.

Yes, my point. It is interesting that an attorney would have a judge as Godfather of his children. To be that close, they must talk, and I think he could very well know the rotation schedule, mainly because the Godfather of his children could have told him. jmo

I don't see how it can be personal and unprofessional at the same time. They are mutually exclusive.

No idea what you mean. The call was made by O'Mara prior to the bond hearing because Sybrina Fulton expressed she wanted an apology.

It is bull for Crump to say he thought Zimmerman should have apologized on his website - my word, wouldn't that have been something, an apology right below the graffiti picture. IMO, that would have been much more impersonal. He apologized, that's what they wanted. It seems Crump wants to continue portraying GZ as evil and calculated, enough already, IMO. Let justice take it's course.

But what does it matter? The judge would never be allowed to try the case because of their relationship. They used to be law partners. My dad's former partner went on to become a judge and my father was never in front of him for a trial. They would be recused and move on the the next judge in line.

The Judge was not the Godfather to O'Mara's children, it is the other way around, and they used to be law partners.

Makes little difference since the Judge is no longer in the equation. IMO

Not at all. A PERSONAL call from the lawyer of the opposing side is usually accepted immediately, because it is the professional thing to do.

I answered the phones in my fathers office in college. I took messages and told him about the calls when he checked in. UNLESS it was opposing counsel, in that case he wanted me to come and get him immediately. Usually a call like that is important.

I am surprised that Crump ignored his call.

GZ's courtroom apology will go down in history as one of the sorriest examples of an "apology" ever given. The Martins didn't want a public apology in the courtroom that day. I think MO'M knew that and took a gamble. It didn't pay off this time. "I'm sorry for the loss of your son" is NOT an apology for killing him.

Crump doesn't even bother to answer the question. I think O'Mara is going to do a great job and I think he is feigning the good old boy act - puts people off guard. JMO

At this point in time, Crump is not the OPPOSING counsel to anyone at all in this case, he might be at some future point in a civil suit, but then most likely MOM would not be representing GZ for that kind of a suit.

Why would he take a call from MOM, when he blatantly went against the parents wishes? It was a bond hearing, not the time to apologize. GZ had all the time to apologize beforehand, not after the parents said it was too late for an "I'm sorry." Plus, the apology was not genuine, IMO.

At first, I really thought highly of MOM. Now, he is nothing but another bottom feeding attorney. IMO. The latest "website" is just despicable! This coming after the bond money "mistake."

Crump, imo,is most certainly ACTING like the opposing counsel. After every twist and turn, Crump and his legal team go front and center and make legal arguments and emotional commentary. I think Crump fits the description of opposing counsel as he represents Trayvons parents. JMO

IMO, absolutely - they tried to reach Crump to extend a personal apology, he didn't return the calls and he didn't deny receiving them. Sybrina asked for an apology the day GZ was arrested, he apologized knowing they would hear it.
