Was there a case that went against someone because they said sorry? Even when I was in a car accident that was someone else fault I apologized to the other person. But my apology meant I'm sorry for the stress/etc you feel, I am sorry this happened and you have to deal with this now, etc. Not a sorry as in oops, my bad, my fault. A sorry as in I feel the distress you are going through and I feel bad and wish I could change it. Did that make sense? Lol sorry

OMara makes $6.66 a minute working as a lawyer. Why should Crump call him and help him make more money?

What does that have to do with anything? This is a murder case and they are both attorneys working on the same case. Crump is working on the case on behalf of the victims parents, representing them. It is a professional courtesy to return the calls. Imo

What if Crump had said that he called O/Maras' office a couple of days in a row and was ignored? I think people would be outraged.

Exactly, it was immediate that he became the new attorney and began handling the case. Given that, I would expect that Crump would be professional and return his phone calls.

Crump represents the victim's family. He has no business calling the defendant's attorney about this case. Period. You stated earlier that MOM may have had some information regarding the case, and wanted to speak to Crump. MOM is obligated to speak to LE, Special Proscutor about the case, if he so chooses, not the victim's attorney. I would think MOM would be a little bit more professional than going through a side route.

Having worked in a law office, I disagree. Lawyers do tend to take that seriously. There is usually a level of respect shown towards each other, regardless of being on opposing sides.

There are many ways Crump is unprofessional IMO.
He doesn't even pronounce the victim's name correctly. I find that unprofessional and highly offensive to Trayvon's memory.

I meant to say that John does not indicate during his 911 call that he had previously witnessed the fighting while he was outside; not that he was outside while calling 911. HTH

He yelled at them to "stop", and locked his patio door and went upstairs. It seems like he would have to have been outside in some way.

I think that's the point. He's pandering to the public and conducting himself in an unprofessional manner in the process. Imo, if he keeps it up now that O'Mara's involve it won't serve him or his clients well in the long run. In fact, I think it's evident that things have already simmered down quite a bit and that the playing field has been leveled significantly.

I wasn't talking about lawyers being upset, I was talking about the people that hear about it.

I'm going to disagree that John standing inside behind a screen is the most logical assumption to make, but until we have more information about how far outside, if at all, John was, I'm going to stay on the fence on this one. JMO

Not at all. A PERSONAL call from the lawyer of the opposing side is usually accepted immediately, because it is the professional thing to do.

I answered the phones in my fathers office in college. I took messages and told him about the calls when he checked in. UNLESS it was opposing counsel, in that case he wanted me to come and get him immediately. Usually a call like that is important.

I am surprised that Crump ignored his call.

Crump and O'Mara are not "opposing counsel".

I don't think calling Crump is a 'side route' at all. O'Mara wanted to reach out to the parents and that was the correct way to do so. But Crump ignored the calls. And then said he was blindsided in court. And maybe that wsas disingenuous, since we now hear that O'Mara called him twice at least and wanted to discuss it.
