Not to mention O'Mara would not hand pick (as has been suggested), his own Judge. IIRC, from information I've read, the Judges are on some sort of rotation.

I wonder if O'Mara was aware of that rotation and who was up next?

What difference does it make? The original judge had a conflict of interest. She also had not much experience. Why would he want to keep a judge like that?

Toward the back gate would have been headed toward BG's home.
So if he saw Martin running on that middle sidewalk why wouldn't he just drive to the end of it? And how do we know he didn't if he had another person in the truck with him? He could have been driving the whole time he was talking to the dispatcher until we hear him get out. IMO

I'm sure because the judge in rotation after Jessica Recksiedler was Judge John D. Galluzzo who is actually very good friends with O'Mara and is godfather to one of O'Mara's children. Because of that, he took himself out of the rotation. Can't remember where I read that so will just say my opinion until such time I can find the link.

One link although there is another link out there stating that the Judge is the godfather to one of O'Mara's children.

Had another person in the truck with him? Based on?

Well, if he is godfather to one of MOM's kids he certainly would not be assigned to that case. lol

I'm missing your point, I guess?

BEM: You're right, just got the Godfather's backwards:

"Circuit Judge John Galluzzo “backed out because O’Mara is the godfather of one of his children and they once practiced together,” Belich said."

I'm not sure the rotation is all that relevant in this instance.

The Chief Circuit Judge would probably assign a judge since the original judge had to recuse herself (on her own terms). He would probably choose a sitting judge with a good bit of experience to handle this case or he might do it himself (ala Judge Perry). The exact same thing happened in that case with the exception that Cheney Mason filed a motion for recusal. Then, as we all know, Perry stepped in and took over himself.

Police arrived within 4 seconds of the shot - I would assume the flashlights were police.

One thing I can't figure out is, where was GZ's phone? He told someone to call police for him, why didn't he call? Maybe he lost it when GZ punched him?

JMO

The phone was in his hands... making a call to who?? We're still waiting to find out, but looks like O'Mara doesn't want us to find out anything anytime soon. :banghead:

Wasn't GZ supposed to be reaching for his phone when Trayvon seen the gun and tried to reach for the gun... according to RZ Sr.? So GZ's phone was on his waistband or in his pocket... until after the shooting, is what I am assuming.

There was no point to miss. Someone asked about the rotation of the judges, I happened to remember the articles about the Judge who was next in line after Jessica Recksiedler and that he was a previous partner of O'Mara and was the godfather to one of his children, so I posted the links for the poster who was asking about it.

Maybe that wasn't his phone?
Maybe that wasn't GZ either? Not handcuffed, jacket seems to be different, blood doesn't seem consistent with injuries, that darn line, flash, and his temporary baldness. Timestamp is hinky. :waitasec: This picture has seemed odd to me since it was released. Why no pics with his face?

JMO

ETA: carp, wrong thread? I'm lost. LOL

Great Interview between O'Mara & Crump. Seems O'Mara called to do a private apology, but Crump never called back - and Crump had no explanation.

Maybe its because Crump already spoke out for Trayvon's parents on that subject. O'Mara knew darn well how TM's parents felt and what they said about an apology at this time. MOO

"John locked his patio door and ran upstairs." This tells me he was either looking out his patio door, or he was on his patio during the time the altercation was going on. In order for John to tell them to "stop", he'd have to have been partially, at least, outside. IMO

Fox 35 News

Whoa...that's a highly 'editorialized' version of the FOX the video, overwritten with inflammatory statements about TM...

Just saying

IMO

I wish I could understand all this concern about "John" and what he said or didn't say.

-It's as if we don't even have a police report that says the body was lying in the grass between 1231 Twin Trees Lane and 2821 Retreat View Circle....

I don't have an opinion on John's account, but the fact that the police report places the body "between" two NON-adjacent addresses should tell us the police were using addresses from two 911 calls and NOT identifying a precise location.

The problem is that backyards are shared in the complex and each 911 caller gives his own unit's address to represent the entire building when s/he calls. The result is a general, grassy area, but not a specific site behind one unit.

Likewise, the "70 yards" reference is obviously rounded off and/or an estimate, so again we have a general indication, not pinpoint accuracy.

I think I can speak for everyone here in saying how much we appreciate your work on this, CP. I don't blame you for being invested in the issue. But I also don't see where you've been given info precise enough to pinpoint the location of the body.
