So Oliver has talked to GZ since the video came out last night? Or did GZ anticipate this question would come up and mentioned it to Oliver and Oliver just didn't bring it up until now? :waitasec:

Last night according to Mr. Oliver, he has not spoken to George, only that he got an email from GZ last friday, that he can't discuss.

I didn't want to bring up this politically incorrect opinion because I knew what would happen. But we cannot ignore the elephant in the room. Teen violence among young blacks is much higher. Young Black males are more likely to be armed and to shoot at each other over beefs than white kids. It may label me as a racist, even though my two kids are mixed race.

But the activists should be dealing with this fact as well. Sure GZ was wrong. He should be arrested, and now. But should we completely ignore the fact that MOST of the killings of young black males is by other young black males?

I did not say that at all you just put words in my mouth.
also the 911 oporator told hem "WE do not need you to do that"
NO ORDER FROM NO POLICE.....He can still follow him if he feel he should, not against any law.
Probably not a good decision but that is it.
I never said what you say I said :nono:

I never said it was an order from police. You're putting words in my mouth. But at least we're in agreement that GZ was following the man he ended up shooting to death.

Out of pure speculation, I understand that it may not be the culture to call the police. However, if she really thought her boyfriend got jumped, why didnt she call a family member, mom, dad, cousin that night? I would think she would be pacing by her phone if it just went suddenly dead after her description of the incident. Are you telling me that she did not call his mother or home number after that? I don't think she is telling the truth. Her phone and text records need to be pulled IMO. If she is not telling the truth, and TM was boasting he was going to deck the weird guy, and teach him a lesson, she wouldn't think much of it, and would have gone about her business that night, thinking all was ok. What did she do right afterward?

It's my understanding that she didn't live remotely near there, and may not have even known where Trayvon was to tell the police where to even go? He wasn't at his usual residence, but staying with his dad/dad's fiance? Who could she call? 911 in her town and tell them what? I don't know where he is? I don't know that she thought he'd been killed? That isn't usually where people's mind goes to first, imo.

The rest of the night??? They knew he was shot immediately, his girlfriend was hospitalized from the trauma!!!

No, they immediately didn't know he was shot. His father was out to dinner. When he came home he decided Trayvon went to the movies with the cousin and didn't become concerned until the next morning.

It seemed to take months for the bruises on my face to go away and I had pain around my left eye socket for years, but my nose wasn't broken so I can't speak to that. Except for one very painful incident when I was a child and my father was (playfully) tossing me onto my bed and I came face down on the edge of the headboard right on my nose. It didn't bleed, just a horizontal mark on my nose which you can still see if you know to look for it. But the pain was unbelievable. Someone commented earlier that sometimes broken noses bleed internally but I really don't know. I would think the nose would be swollen at least.

It will be interesting if/when this case comes to trial. I'll be appalled if there were no photos taken of GZ's injuries. Does anyone know if GZ was seen in public after he shot TM but before this case became a national story? Surely, there's someone who can attest to whether or not he looked like he had been attacked.

Based on the photos I would have to say the symptoms of the beating he took was exaggerated. But we do not know everything - was someone there with a roll of paper towels? Who knows? right now it all looks like it was exaggerated, but there was a brawl. That is all we do know. That and that TM is gone.

I do not think we will get much more till the investigation has been toughly concluded.

From this point on it will most likely be theories and blaming. What a mess.

It's not that it a politically incorrect opinion.........THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED HERE. Get on the right platform and scream it from the roofs. This was simply not a black on black crime.

You are right. It's not a PC thing to say. But you can't argue with numbers.

It's so sad. It really is.

A person can't argue with numbers, however a person can skew them. Statistics aren't always what they appear to be on the surface.

I'm not implying anyone's statistics provided here were wrong, just that numbers can be manipulated.

Okay,

On HLN Vinnie P just said that Oliver told him that GZ claims that the Cops cleaned him up at the scene. Just reporting what was said.

From everything I know and have seen... When you have your nose broken.... you also have eye swelling and blackeyes.. I saw these things when my Ex got in a fight and got his nose broke... I didn't see either on the video of GZ... :moo::moo:

The McClains have demonstrated pure grace and class, IMHO. Good for them!

I hope Spike Lee's career and reputation are destroyed. I know I won't put a single penny into his pocket.

How odd that you admire the classy behavior of the McClains, yet refuse to follow their example! If THEY can forgive Lee's error (one made in the heat of the moment), why can't you?

And she has signed a sworn affidavit under the penalty of perjury, for what it's worth.
Nobody can dispute her unless she told a friend and the friend wants to snitch.
I do not imagin she did tell anyone but herparents, and they wont snitch :D

Trayvon Martin: Spike Lee settles with family forced to flee home

http://www.latimes.com/news/nation/...artin-lee-settlement-20120329,0,7063902.story

What gracious and generous people:
“The McClains’ claim is fully resolved,” Matt Morgan, their attorney, said in an email. “Mr. Lee personally called them to give a very heartfelt apology. Further, he agreed to compensate them for their loss and the disruption to their lives.

“The McClains were very moved by Mr. Lee's apology,” Morgan said. “They would like the Lee family to be left in peace,” Morgan said.

Earlier, Morgan had said that the McClains wanted to resolve the issues with Lee quickly to illustrate that whites and blacks could work together to settle their differences without escalating racial tensions.

I'm glad Spike Lee stepped up to do the right thing and that the McClains were generous and not vindictive.

"Blacks in hoodies out at night......" Speechless. Really .

I AM RAISING MIXED RACE KIDS. You don't think I am aware of how that might sound. But it is true, sadly. There are far too many black kids who take the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 life to heart and it kills them. And I have had to warn my own about it their entire lives.

I am sick of people like Rev Sharpton ignoring much of the reality and making it ALL a black/white thing.

You are RIGHT, that the suspicions of GZ got him into trouble. But why was he suspicious? Are we going to pretend that there were not previous burglaries by black teens in hoodies?

I keep hoping someone else would notice this about the photo of the kid with the 'grill' but I haven't seen it anywhere: IMO That is NOT Trayvon and I have come to that conclusion because the folds and configurations on the left ear of that kid in that photo DO NOT MATCH the left ear and configurations in any of the known photos of Trayvon. Therefore, it could not possibly be Trayvon, IMO.

It's just at a different angle. He has his head tilted up so his ears, jaw, nose and lips all look different. But it sure looks like Trayvon to me. And he still looks sweet and quite young, IMO.

I can't believe they are using a picture of C-Murder? :floorlaugh: The No Limit Soldiers were so 1990's! That's Master P's brother and I believe he is in jail for murder.

I was the one who used that picture. I used it to show the difference between Trayvon's "grill" photo and what many are suggesting it makes him look like. He was about as far from a "gansta" as I can imagine, unless people think all black teens with tats and a photo of gold grills are "ganstas".

As I commented earlier, I was once attacked from behind and was punched in the face and had my head repeatedly slammed into a tile floor. There was no bleeding and no cuts from the beating my skull took. My face was a mess from the punches, but my attacker landed a lot of hits. And, although I couldn't tell you exactly how I got from point A to point B, there was a good amount of distance between where I was first attacked and where I ended up as I was squirming and struggling to get up/away.

This was just my experience, every attack is different. But I'm less inclined to be bothered by GZ's lack of profuse bleeding or open wounds.

JMO, OMO, and :moo:

Everyone keeps using this excuse. The fact is, according to the police, Zimmeran had blood on his nose and head. His attorney stated the gash was significant enough that it would have needed stitches but Zimmerman waited to have it treated until it was already healing. Thus, two sources indicate there must have been blood and the excuse that some wounds don't produce blood doesn't fly.

So, where's all the blood on his clothes and head in the surveillance video? What, the cops lovingly cleaned him up? I know cops. They are trained to stay the heck away from blood, they are not allowed to treat wounds and if he had injuries, they would have photographed him at the scene and then at the station to prove that they were not the ones who beat him up. Nonsense. :moo:

The night of the shooting?

Can you link where you read that?
I haven't heard that.

The GF didn't know he was shot either. She didn't hear any shots according to what has been reported. So obviously she didn't spend the night of the shooting in the hospital.

I do not imagin she did tell anyone but herparents, and they wont snitch :D

Does her not telling the entire world or having it on video or recorded makes it less likely to happen?

If she was telling anyone and everyone I suspect she'd be accused of trying to "cash in."

But it STEMS from black on black crime. The reason the watchman had those suspicions was based on past history. It is all part of the same problem, imo.

Were the alleged burglaries which were allegedly committed by black teens occurring only in the complex's households which included black individuals?
