You can buy them over the internet. I have gotten a few spam emails over the years advertising various drug warehouses that sell them.
These "pharmacies" probably originate from Mexico or Canada.
From what I understand though, a lot of times the government intercepts orders and sends a stern warning to the buyer. MOO

OxyContin is supplied in 10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, 80 mg, and 160 mg tablet strengths. The tablet strengths describe the amount of Oxycodone per tablet. The medication is sustained released and lasts for 12 hours. The pills are given every 12 hours in order to keep a constant level of the drug in the system.

Oxycontin should not be used for quick pain relief. It should be used by those patients who suffer with chronic daily pain that is moderate to severe. It is not for mild pain or for temporary pain, such as after dental or surgical procedures.

(Vicodin is a pain reliever that contains oxycontin...all depends on the mg.)

I don't know anything technical but I have heard that people who get hooked on oxycotin usually go to heroin afterwards, and that is like a mild heroin. I think its awful and its becoming an epidemic street drug that I feel needs to somehow be extremely monitored because of the addictions.

I hope so. I worry for the young generation and I have also heard of people getting ripped off by construction crews and teenagers type "friends". I have heard teenagers collect and trade. Its sad really.

How funny with Misty yelling real loud,
"HE DOESN'T WANT TO DO IT HERE."

In my mind I hear:
"I SAID, HE DOESN'T WANT TO DO THE DRUG DEAL RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. OKAY, WE'LL GO DO THE DRUG DEAL IN FRONT OF SPINNERS."

Keep in mind that the people "getting off" on these drugs are injecting or snorting them as taking them orally, especially the oxy which is time released, does not provide a "buzz." I have taken these drugs for years in a mild dosage for chronic pain and my body does not crave higher dosages or other drugs...they provide some pain relief, not total, but then again, i am not snorting them...maybe if i did i would not only have total pain relief but would be itching for more :) don't mean to make a joke of this, but there is a way to take these drugs and these people re-selling them, for whatever reason, are making it really hard to get them legitimately :(

Sorry that was O/T I have to wonder when MC is all worry about me first, is it because she is going to implicate Tommy or is she just being all selfish about herself. HC says immediately after he "worry about me first" that he is worried about both of them.

ah! yes the internet, of course your right! Never thought of that. Now I get it. And as was already stated "at least they got caught" That's the best part! YAY!!!!!

Maybe their supplier was getting them that way, I doubt if Ron or Misty had a credit card which would probably be a requirement to purchase them.
I would be too scared to try to get meds this way, because I am pretty sure they are not legal, or they wouldn't be sending out mass emails for customers!!

Vicodin contains hydrocodone and tylenol.

Lortab also contains hydrocodone and tylenol. Lorcet, too, just a different strength of tylenol.

Oxycontin is the patented, time-release version of oxycodone.

Percocet contains regular oxycodone and tylenol. [And when I was in that wreck last year, it cost me with a legit written prescription $270 for 60. <no insurance> I wuz pizzed.]

Plus, who knows WHAT you get in those internet pills. Heck, they might be made in China - lead, cadmium, melamine.

eta - IF you ever even get the pills. They prolly just want your CC# so they can steal from you.

Ok - I just went and did a little research. What I found is that Oxycodone is stronger than hydrocodone. Oxy's are percocets and Hydro's are vicodins. So, who knows....

The "pill mill" industry is increasing at alarming rates. I just noticed a "pill mill" - oh, excuse me - pain clinic opened up next door to my Office Depot. Big Pharma should be Gianormus Pharma in this country. All of us that don't take at least a pill a day (not counting people who legitmately need them for medical resaons) are becoming far and fewer between. I kinda like to call it "the Doping of America"

I promise I understand that people with serious chronic pain really need them to survive, and I feel terrible that you or anyone legitimate would have to go through extra troubles. Honestly I am sorry. I guess the appropiate thing to say is "one bad apple spoils the whole bunch" ya know? I commend you for taking them responsibly, and I too understand that they are being chewed and snorted and injected, ah its just so sad to me. I don't know what else to say, its reality.

I certainly hope they do!! I would be terrified to even try to get drugs this way because I would get caught... not only does the seller get in trouble, but the buyer does as well.
However... the ads that come in my spam are more than likely sent out thru mass mailings, by people who are making extra money at home. They are hired by an internet company and paid so much per ad they type and mail out. The actual "pharmacy" may be hiding under several layers of internet companies and it would be hard to trace it all back to the seller. Also... the U.S. govt. may not have jurisdiction, since they are no doubt in another country. Unless, of course, these countries are cooperating with each other. But if they come from Mexico or S. America, I doubt it.

I was wondering the same thing about her "worry about me first" but I thought more along the lines maybe she is worried if Tommy gets out first he may implicate her....or that she is just that selfish.

Speaking of how they get pain meds..maybe O/T, but I live in KY and the police are busting people right and left coming up the interstate under the influence of drugs and most are coming from Pain Clinics in Florida. There are usually 3-4 people per car (each getting a RX) and they all go down to Florida pain clinics and get the drugs right from the clinic and drive back home.

BBM Also interesting. Man I must say that close up on a TV MC did look slammed. I really think she swallowed or smoked something that day.

Worry about me first. (I'm the one in the most trouble)
IMO

They were talking about Misty telling her mother about the stipulation that LP cannot revoke her bond like he did with Casey A. That she wants a contract, that she talks after he lets her out of jail and that he cannot tell anyone. :)

She needs to stay behind bars a while longer so that it sinks in, she is not in charge!

And, grandmaj, don't forget that Misty expects to be staying with her parents once she's free. She's such a dreamer.

thanks for the post. it is hard to get into a real pain clinic inside a hospital, which is where i registered now, as they have to do so much work to weed out people who just want meds...i went thru lots of physical therapy, many surgeries, etc...the other kind of place really does just give scripts for compaints on back pain etc...i had to visit one once when i was stuck in NY for a death in the family and had to stay a month-ended up leaving before i saw anyone as it was scary in there, it looked more like a night court crowd...

I didn't notice any new videos, it seemed like I saw all those on NG already. I am also surprised that the 90 calls RC made that night weren't addressed yet, I surely would love to hear something more elaborate concerning them.

I'd really like to know if these drugs are obtained from doctor-shopping, as somebody on the show suggested, doesn't everybody know who MC is? How does she find that many doctors? And the same with RC! :waitasec: MOO

eta ~ Rx are also expensive so who's paying for them. It can't be medicaid!

Sure it can be... and with these people I don't doubt it. Most pill heads I know are on medicaid/medicare. I think people would really be surprised how easy it is to first of all get these potent meds from a doctor and second, to have the state finance your addiction. They financed mine.. they financed my step fathers, my mothers... my sisters.. It's the only way I made any money off of the pills. The script for an entire month is either free or $3-5dollars.. you turn around and sell them for way more than that a pill.

This is not toward you but just on the topic in general-

Most of us do start out taking these meds for valid reasons- we simply come to depend on them. Your body grows used to the medication after awhile, you need more and more of the medication to get relief. Some of us lose ourselves in that quest for "relief". People in need of pain meds are not being punished for our "misuse", doctors are still writing the prescriptions in record numbers to almost anyone who asks for them.
