With just about every photo of this boat you'd be forgiven for thinking it's a single hull design.
The twin hulls are very narrow and can only be deciphered from the front -

after reading more about these boats and watching a few utube videos, they're highly noted for their stability. I'm more inclined to think it was a health related event with one of them but God only knows. Hopefully he can help bring them home...

I have personally almost fallen out of one about three times. The back is really low and even a small bump can send you airborne. See that cooler height and that corner? It’s very low.
The whole thing smells to me. I hope they’re out there ok somewhere.

A little history on Randall Spivey shows he knew boat safety.

Florida boating is one of the many enjoyments of our lives. Whether it’s just a day of sightseeing, fishing, or other activities, Fort Myers Boating Accident Attorney Randall Spiveyurges boaters to make boating safety a priority.

At a May 2022 media briefing, Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno said, “Safety begins at the dock.”
What a strange coincidence

The boat, known for its stability, cannot guarantee that the occupant is. Any boat that floats will experience some wave action. All the more reason it's recommended to wear a life vest. Accidents can happen unexpectedly. These two men did not just step into a boat. They were very experienced boaters and fisherman. Agreed, the incident however it happened, is odd.

This is what I would expect them to do. But the currents and waves could have steered them so far out that it would be very difficult to find them.

Snip
The engine was still running, but investigators discovered that two of the life jackets on the boat were missing.

The two men were nowhere to be found, but the missing life jackets could indicate they were forced to abandon their boat and take the floatation devices with them.

Let's say one man fell overboard, while wearing a life vest or not. The other would simply turn around and toss him a rope. This idea is out the window if they have a wave or other situation that causes them both to fall out, while the boat is running. Did anyone ever mention if the boat was in fact in gear, or just idling?
