It shows up under "Crimes in the News" but since you just posted it, it also shows up under "New Threads."

thank goodness the grandfather persisted in getting someone into the home to check - he saved those babies lives IMO

LAPD: Two orphaned children are healthy and in DCFS care after 3 days trapped in Chatsworth home after murder-suicide – Daily News

This is my first time starting s thread so I hope I did properly. I just saw this on Facebook and I’m shook. This little girl took care of her 3 month old brother. It’s amazing the 3 month is alive!!

Wow, really surprised the baby survived.
The little girl was able to get snacks and beverages for herself, I’d think.
What a miracle.

Thank you for making this thread.
Here are a couple more links.

3-year-old girl, infant brother survive for days in home after parents' murder-suicide

3-Year-Old Girl and Infant Brother Survive Alone for Days After Parents' Murder-Suicide

As a side note, when you submit a new thread or post, it does show up in the New Posts and New Thread lists. The reason you were not seeing it listed is because it wasn't new to you. You had already seen it when you posted it. As soon as someone else posts in your new thread, it will then show up for you. Same thing occurs on your watched threads. Once you click on a thread and read it, it will disappear from the list until someone else posts in it.
To get around this on Watched Threads, you can click on the "There may be more to view" words shown in red below the Unread Watched Threads title. Then you will see that all the threads that you watch will show up.
I hope this is clearer than mud and will help.

“She heard her mom crying, and then what really was kind of heart-wrenching was when she said she saw ‘mommy was broken,'” Medina told CBS Los Angeles.

I just can’t,that poor,poor sweetheart...

For sure. Police didn't go inside, just looked outside, and decided everything was fine. Couple more days, those children would have likely ended up dead.

Seems that they checked the welfare of the property, not the residents/taxpayers?

Ohhhhh! I get it! Ok I was wondering why it wasn’t showing up in New and it’s because it’s not new to me

All that aside, I cannot believe the infant survived!! I mean, did the 4 year old give him water or formula or something?? I feel he wouldn’t have made it had she not. Totally sad yet incredible story.

Completely ridiculous. I’m so glad the neighbor decided to do something on his own.

She is definitely a hero for saving her brother and herself. She may have been active in watching and helping her mom in feeding and caring for her little brother all along and she may have been helped if there were some bottles already prepared in the refrigerator.

I pray for the both of them to have long happy and healthy lives ahead of them.
Here are a couple of updated articles.
