2008.07.16 Casey's First Phone Call Home From Jail *revisit*

This call + the video of her sashaying when she was arrested in the blue "82" shirt + the 31 days + the party pictures = a guilty verdict. They can try and confuse the jurors and poke teeny holes into the mountain of evidence, but those few things will seal her fate.

There's no way the defense can come up with a logical explanation for the 31 days, the partying pictures, the car that smelled of human decomposition, Casey's lack of emotion (very evident in this call from jail), the location where the remains were found, and the items from the Anthony home that were found with the remains.

No matter what doubts about the forensics the defense tries to bring up, the jurors will keep coming back to the 31 days, the partying, the car that reeked of death, the remains location, and what was found with the remains.

This is July...15-16th? Why wouldn't Tony have seen Caylee since the beginning of June? Was she still sticking with the June 9th date for the last time she saw Caylee at this point? And, yes. ALL she cared about was talking to her "boyfriend."

I read in the transcript for Tony's roommate where he said that he had the convo with Casey about not dropping the "I love you" so soon. But then there is another convo (text messages) where someone is talking about the same type of thing and Casey is the one to say you can't drop the "I love yous" so quickly.

The FBI knows she lies. WSers know she lies.

Cindy: Blame yourself(?) for telling lies. If you'd have told them
the truth and not lied about everything they wouldn't...

And the jury will know she is a liar too.

I think all of the things said right out of the Anthony's mouths in those first days of Caylee missing will cement KC's feet in the DP. All of the Anthony's have dug KC's grave for her. None of these people thought of CONSEQUENCES for their actions.

I firmly believe that that has been there intention all along. IMO

it might well have been because she always used the cell phone to dial it, but I wonder if he hadn't changed it to avoid her calls.. perhaps gave it to LA so that the family could still contact him if there was some need to do so, but asked them not to give it to KC. He seemed to realize early on that he was entangled with a ..well.. with a bad person.. and promptly set about cutting ties to her.

I can only imagine how it felt when he first realised what sort of person he had been living with and keeping company with for the past month..horrifying.

I've wondered if, after getting Tony's number, Casey tried calling him and if she talked to him. I really doubt it, because all the calls from jail were being recorded and we would have heard the audio of that call.

By the evening of July 16th, when Casey made that call home from jail, Tony had already spoken to AH and knew about Casey stealing cash and checks from AH. Tony already knew by then that he had been involved with a real lowlife, but probably hadn't put together yet how much of a monster Casey really is. I suspect that if Casey tried calling him, he didn't answer the phone. That conversation would have been interesting!

Please allow me to clarify myself, I'm not referring to the actual 30+ days, I'm speaking about after the fact -

Once LE, SA and the media got involved, Cindy stated numerous times that she had no concerns about not seeing Caylee or Casey during these 30+ days. She claimed she thought the two were "bonding". Basically "No worries here" nonsense...

Lee's statement clearly contradicts Cindy's position after the fact.

No, she's not bipolar, nor schizoaffective.

She was examined by two shrinks, found legally sane, and most importantly NOT put on any medications.

She's likely a sociopath with a narcisisstic personality disorder. There is no treatment for that. No Axis I disorder was found, AEB she is not in treatment.

Yep. I have to go look, but does anyone else remember when we discussed the texting and phone calls between KC and TL early on July 16, 08 after KC returned home from driving around with LE showing them incorrect houses and whatnots and her visit to Universal?

IIRC, TL was giving KC the third degree about why didn't KC tell him Caylee had been "kidnapped" as well as stealing money from AH. KC makes a statement to TL that she will be blamed if they can't find Caylee?

Also, TL changed his phone number after LE removed the trap.

I think I said this before a long time ago, but this is THE call that convinced me that Casey did not care one bit about Caylee, and that she had something to do with that precious girl's death. How could anyone be so COLD? Her friend was crying her eyes out and Casey is wanting to talk to her boyfriend through the whole thing.

Her outright lies about how she told the police everything and they are misconstruing stuff.... I listened to the whole interview when they got to Orlando studios... How can the police misconstrue anything???? They took her everywhere she wanted. She lied to them about EVERYTHING. The jury HAS to hear this call, and the interview where they took her to Orlando Studios. That is all it will take. If the jurors aren't allowed to hear these two conversations, it would be a travesty of justice.

ITA. That call is a MUST. No wonder they are asking that all this stuff be erased. It is very damning to her case. I will never forget her words to Christina when she started crying "Ohhhhh my God". I have never heard anything so cold-hearted. She should have thanked her lucky stars she had a friend to support and help her in this.

Wonder if LE or FBI enhanced audio to hear background conversation . . . I can hear CA(?) talking initially in the background especially right after calling LA to the phone. Clearly anger is "couched" in words like "sweetie", "honey" with both CA and KC.

Is that when she handed the phone to Lee? From memory, didn't she say something like I am not talking to her!

That very same phone call seems to have had a profound effect on Christina as well. She did one interview (very early on) with a rag publication and has not been heard from since! I think that we've only seen one LE interview with her (where she states that she and her child/children met up with KC and Caylee at Lake Underhill) and that was it. It's hard to believe that she had nothing else to contribute to the investigation...

Every single time a doc dump comes out and WSers start the ""oh no, what if she walks, there will never be enough evidence to convict" train I feel like telling them to go back and listen to this call again.

this call seals the deal. there is no bleeding heart in the world with a bleeding enough heart to be able to explain away this phone call. Believe me I am the bleedingest of all hearts and the tone KC takes and the way she talks to these people blows my poor little heart into "I am against the death penalty but I wont be rioting outside at her execution" mode.

and let me just add another mother with a toddler story. My little 2 was playing in the kitchen while I was cleaning and then I didnt see him, I ran around the house screaming his name so loud I didnt hear my husband calling back that baby was with him. I am talking 10 seconds passing and I am already thinking to myself if it's too soon to call the cops. rather be thought a nervous fool having to call back when I found him thanlet 2 minutes pass with a missing toddler.
