Inappropriate laughter seems to be a family trait. Interesting.
As does ABSOLUTELY.

LOL We use that word a lot in our family. When my kiddo was 2 or so, it was her first big word....she said "Absoloosely!". It became a joke after that.As does ABSOLUTELY.

In AL and AH's statements indicate that Casey was on the couch using her laptop at AL's apt when Cindy arrives to take her home. Presumably, Casey left her laptop where she was sitting. Then Lee arrives later that night to retrieve her things--
Lee Interview (pdf pg#54-5 and bulk doc pg#1478-9)
Casey's laptop is now sitting plugged-in at the kitchen counter, appears blue-screened and seems to have been data swiped. Did Casey attempt to scrub her hard drive the instant Cindy and AH arrived? Did Lee do something to the computer during the hour+ time he took to retrieve Casey's things? Did AL do something to the computer-- did Casey set him up to run the program for her? What do people think?
The computer issue really stood out for me. There's basically no way to truly clean a hard drive-- and even if the person was really super computer savvy and succeeded in removing a lot of data, experts will be able to tell when the terminal dump was initiated. Given the hours that passed between Casey leaving AL's apt and Lee returning for the computer, I think LE has to know who tried to clean it.

Perhaps related, perhaps not--
Does anyone feel like Lee could possibly be working with LE? I know people have very mixed feelings about Lee, but his official statements and initial audio with Casey indicate he sees through her lies and has little patience for them. He seems to have few qualms about supplying damning evidence against her. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I wonder if he's working on the inside? Does anyone think so?
why did Casey leave her phone at TonE's, the computer I can understand but the phone?
It all smells more hinky with the computer having a blue screen and Lee saying Casey's stuff was suspected as being gone through and placed back in such a organized manor.
I would have to agree it was about Amy's checkbook since it was said to be on the dresser. AL probably went through it after he talked to Amy to look for any of his own records or information. As far as her stuff being placed back in such an organized manner, the detective pointed out that most likely it was gone through to retrieve Amy's missing checkbook.
If the laptop was left at AL's apartment and LA retrieved it, I don't understand when she had time to go on her delete spree there. When Amy and CA arrived, she was on the sofa with it. LA goes to get it and it is now on the counter plugged in. No one mentioned her taking the time to do this while her mom was breathing down her neck and screaming at her to get her stuff to leave. Was she tipped off that they were coming to get her? Did Amy call her? Did LA call her? She seemed surprised when they showed up according to what others have said.
I would love to know what the item was that was "snatched" from the wallet in back of the ID. It must have been something familiar to them such as maybe a police officer's ID or business card?
What trouble me most about LA interview. The car. The smell. WAVES of it the minute you walked in the garage. LA was put out there with KC at one point and he couldn't handle it - had to keep stepping out "for fresh air". Well, LE was there - all night - coming and going - questioning - etc. etc. Didn't ANY of LE go out in THAT garage and smell THAT SMELL? Why was there such a delay in impounding that car? when LE is called to a "crime scene" or to a "report" - they are usually all over - swarming like bugs. Even Detectives were out there that night, later on. Yet, NO ONE went in that garage - NO ONE said "hey come here - do you smell that?" "Where is that smell coming from?" Just ain't fittin' with me somewhere.
They probably did, but it takes time for them to get search warrants etc. They had to investigate the initial nature of the call and then determine the child was actually missing before getting those warrants. Probable cause has to enter into it as far as I know. What trouble me most about LA interview. The car. The smell. WAVES of it the minute you walked in the garage.
