I was just watching a local Boston news show called Broadside with Jim Braude. He interviewed attorney Wendy Murphy (and frequent Nancy Grace guest) who claimed that Casey was offered immunity (months ago) but she declined it. Murphy's theory is that Casey offered up Caylee for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and an outside person killed her. Murphy also claims the prosecutors know Casey didn't have anything to do with Caylee's murder.

I thought I had seen everything about this case. Was Casey offered immunity or, as I suspect, is Murphy completely confused?

That sounds highly unbelievable

Casey was offered LIMITED immunity way back before Caylee's remains were found, IIRC. I agree w/ the above poster the other stuff Wendy Murphy is spouting sounds highly unbelievable. An absolutely ridiculous theory that does not fit the evidence at all, IMO.

This theory of hers is more out there than anything I've heard yet and that's a lot considering LP's theories!

Casey was offered Limited Immunity in August 2008 and on Sept 2 2008(after Baez asked for an extension on the deadline) Casey and Baez did not respond to the Prosecution
Baez initiated the contact regarding immunity but never responded to LDB

Somewhere in the docs there are the emails from LDB to Baez about the limited immunity.

Wendy Murphy IMO has been spewing some bizarre comments lately.

Sounds to me like something the DT came up with.

Not only is that theory completely ridiculous and not one scintilla of evidence reflects that (yet another talking head trying to get ratings and attention) but every person is offered a plea deal - not necessary immunity - before the start of trial, if I'm not mistaken.

and how can she legally say that the prosecution KNOWS casey didn't do this - and therefor they are illegally charging her? Is that slander/libel? This one has some gall!

An outside person killed her? And then went to such great lengths to FRAME her? Even so far as to breaking in to the Anthony Garage and using their bags, duct tape laundry bag?

.... If ICA gave her to someone for CP, wouldnt she have had some MONEY?

This case never ceases to amaze me... NEVER

She probably gave her to RK for CP. THAT'S IT! That's the Roy Kronk Konnection?!!

Uhg.. Ima be sick

I don't know about the immunity, but I for one do not think Murphy's theory is outside the realm of the possible. I have read that pedophiles sedate or chloroform their victims. And money would be a motive. I am just wondering, if Casey is evil enough to kill her child in the minds of many, why not also evil enough to be involved in something like this? Not saying it is the best theory, but it would be an "accident" born of felony negligence and abuse which would have to be covered up. If there is any truth in Casey being sexually abused as a youngster, the urge to repeat abuse with one's own child would be present. Stranger things have occurred. And she would be even more culpable in this scenario.

My thoughts, exactly. Well.... actually, I was wondering "is this woman playing with a full deck of cards?"

Why is it that Casey's trunk smells like death then? The cadaver dog hits in the back yard? Did Casey provide the killers with the rare Henkel duct tape? Just makes no sense, to me.

You know, this reminded me... I found a site that is about the study of "reverse speech" and of course the proponent of it thinks that reverse speech can be used to find out all sorts of things... it's supposedly the subconscious speaking. In any case, on this site, they have some reverse recordings of some of Casey's interviews, jail visits, etc. And a couple of times she says "boys did this". Strange, huh? Not saying I believe in this stuff, though!! It actually creeped me out quite a bit, and I'm not sure why. It's just that reverse speech sound really spooky/demonic to me.

This trial has taught me to not trust anything "experts" say on TV, whereas before I probably would have..after all, they're experts.

Wasn't it just last week WM said if KC was sitting next to her she'd hit her with a baseball bat?

If they told me the sky was blue, I would run outside to check!

Yes, the reverse speech is spooky; don't know either if I believe in it. Well, I would be assuming Casey disposed of the poor child, using the trunk, and the duct tape for staging. This, to my thinking, would be even worse than what most assume actually happened. Because the crime would be even more heinous.
