2008.10.14 Tony L Interview w/LE

Thanks for the link/page cite for the polygraph information! I hadn't previously seen LE confirmation that Tony took a polygraph. I appreciate! :-)

oops, It wasn't me, I was just reposting because it seems people missed the link. Thanks Jolynna!

I meant to thank you for this link, Jolynna, I couldn't find it :) Thanks!
I knew the part about him breaking into GA's shed, but I had never seen the part about
a polygraph

You are welcome.

I had to go back and reread Tony's interviews today so I could get dates from Tony's text messages straight in my mind.

Wasn't it Tony that said that one night, Caylee slept between him and KC in the bed, and that when he woke up in the middle of the night...Caylee was gone. He asked KC where she was, and she said that her mom had come to pick her up. CA was asked about this, and said that it never happened...she never picked up Caylee from there. Anyway...if Cindy didn't pick up her, where was she? I believe that KC put her in the trunk on that night too, before Tony woke up. Kinda hard to have sex with a kid in the middle. If she wasn't in the trunk then...then where could she have been? And why did KC lie about it? Nevermind that last question, KC lies about everything...!!!

No, iirc it was Ricardo..

This is what I just don't understand....When Caylee was first missing, the A's knew that KC was, or had been at AL, because that is where CA picked KC up from, but CA and GA, did not go over there to look for Caylee....NO...instead they searched THEIR OWN BACK YARD!! Makes no sense to me....what would make them do that??? Funny thing is, this is where the dogs hit....

Seagull, if TL was involved in any way at all, he had the PERFECT opportunity to throw Casey under the bus by telling LE he did smell decomp on her and in the trunk, know what I mean? JMO.

Unless he was afraid to rat her out because she might then rat him out, too. Or if he was afraid LE would then wonder if he was involved in it since he was with her throughout that time. If he admitted he smelled it, that would open a whole can of questions. Or if he was afraid they'd wonder why he hadn't come forward. Easier to say he never smelled it / you know, the "see no evil, hear no evil, smell no evil" :)

Only one theory of course

Thanks! I couldn't remember. I see that you are a Carolina girl too!

LOL- no biggie, I forget all kinds of stuff, there is so much to remeber in this case it's crazy!! Well, I'm a transplant, I'm from Connecticut but I have been here for about 5 years or so and would never go back up north. I love it here!!

usually they would want to take the dogs to all the apartments to rule them out, they don't know where the crime occurred or which vehicles or people could have been involved. All they know is that the body itself or items which had been in contact with the body appear to have been in KC's vehicle and back yard at some point, there's no knowledge of where the crime occurred, who placed the body or items in the trunk, etc. Still many unanswered questions

my bold.
i see your point here, seagull.during the investigation into the disappearance of madeleine maccann, cadaver dogs 'inspected' the hotel rooms, holiday apartments, cars and even clothes of everyone in praia da luz that either madeleine or her parents had any connection w/ at all. the police were almost certain that one of her parents were responsible for her death but wanted to know if they had help in disposing of her body.
what you suggest seems customary to me, seagull, and may indeed have answered a few questions which vex us yet.

yeah, the 23rd and 27th are prime dates, TL reported no smell from car on those dates. (The guy who towed the car on the 30th also reported no smell. Though he said he had a cold.) TL also said she was resting food on the trunk of the car when he arrived to get her on the 27th at Amscot, standing next to car and in the shade of the dumpster, not standing away from the car, etc. :)

At that point in time, Caylee's remains had been removed from the trunk of the car and disposed of. I believe that in the process of transferring the remains from her trunk, to where the remains were eventually found, the bags leaked decomposition.

On the day that Casey had TL pick her up at Amscot - June 27th, the car may not have had an odor from the outside, but I bet if the trunk had been opened for any reason, there would have been a terrible smell. I also think Casey could smell the odor while inside the car, and that's why she covered up by telling AH that she thought she had hit a squirrel, and then later said her dad used the car and hit a squirrel. She was making up a story about why the car smelled so bad inside.

The guy that towed the car said he had a bad cold and that would account for why he didn't smell anything. He also would have had limited contact with the car.........they hook the car up quickly and tow it away. Just recently I watched a pickup truck being impounded. The tow truck driver crawled under the truck to disengage something from underneath and then it was a matter of hooking up the tow chains.

After the car got towed on June 30th, it sat closed up for more than two weeks in the hot sun. I think that during that time the odor permeated everything - not only from the decomp in the trunk, but from Casey's pants that Cindy later washed "because they smelled like the car." Those pants may have had decomp on them if Casey wore then when she disposed of Caylee's remains.

ITA with everything your saying ...but if she had the body in 3 bags ....then thats why no smell .....she may have moved the bags alittle in the trunk to make fluids leak out .....and thats when she started making remarks about the poor lil squirral smelling bad ....and i also think the day she told Amy the smell was "gone"...is the day she put Caylee's body in the woods.

do you mean wearing a wire for them as a punishment for smoking marijuana? No, I don't think there was any repercussion or further discussion whatsoever regarding any marijuana use or anything like that (I think he actually only told them KC smoked it but I don't remember him saying he did). When you are the boyfriend of the mother of a missing child, and the child's disappearance coincides with the mother getting involved with you and your friends, you were known to have been looking to get out of your lease and change apartments on the very dates in question, etc, if LE hardly investigates you much at all, and just says "hey would you mind wearing a wire when you have lunch with her brother?" I imagine you would say, sure, why not? He could probably say no, but who would if it's LE asking? Not as any kind of punishment for anything.

Normally when a child goes missing the mother's paramour(s) is considered a POI (person of interest), it is routine. Usually they are heavily investigated to rule them out. TL was barely investigated. LE only took routine statements from him, had him show them where he'd picked her up on those days, and did a basic evidence collection/examination of the back of his jeep, no cadaver dogs or anything else. I don't think there were any cadaver dogs used or forensics even done in his apartment. Nothing severe at all.

All of Casey's friends have cooperated with LE, and evidently there was nothing in their investigation of Casey's friends, that would give LE reason to go before a judge and get a warrant for further searching of their homes, cars, etc. None of Casey's friends have asked for immunity.

I think LE was able to pretty much determine early on that Casey was, and is, the sole suspect. Here we have Casey, a young mother who was the last one to be seen with Caylee. Casey's car smelled like there had been a dead body in it, and forensic evidence supports the fact that a deceased Caylee was in that car for a period of time. Casey failed to report her daughter's disappearance for 31 days, and even then, it was her mother who reported it. Casey spent those 31 days partying. Caylee's remains were found within a quarter-mile of the Anthony home and evidence from the Anthony home was found with the remains. Casey was the only person to have the means, opportunity, and motive for killing Caylee.

In addition, Casey has lied to LE and has never displayed any emotion over her missing child. From the beginning, she's been defiant. Her parents, George and Cindy, as well as her brother, Lee, have all perpetuated Casey's lies, and haven't cooperated with LE. Their goal appears to have been an orchestrated attempt to derail any investigation into their daugher/sister.

My opinion....................

Bold is mine-

Now that makes sense!

teddiebear.............that's a good point! I remember Casey texting Amy and saying she thinks she hit a squirrel, and later saying that maybe her dad hit a squirrel when he drove her car. Then she said she found the remains of a squirrel somewhere under the car and removed it. But, I didn't connect that with the disposal of Caylee! I think you've got a great point! That may have been the day she disposed of Caylee's remains.

I'm hoping that at some point, perhaps in the next document dump, they'll release the transcript of the conversation between AL and LA, when AL was wired to record the conversation. I think there's probably information in that transcript that may help us understand what was going on at that point. I always wonder about the things that LE doesn't release.

The first text to Amy was on the 25th, stating that the car smelled bad, must've been an animal that crawled up into the engine and died or GA ran over an animal.

The second text to Amy was on the 27th stating that it was definitely a dead animal plastered to her car that caused the smell but she got rid of it.

I don't think GA would admit to a smell in the car on the 24th if there was one. I think that if a smell was there when AL picked her up then the gas fumes most likely masked the smell.

At any rate, the smell was there on the 25th by KC's own admission. It was most likely there on the 23rd and 24th. I don't think KC would've mentioned it to Amy until she felt she had to, definitely not on the first day she noticed it.

Thanks. I have in my notes that KC first told Amy her car smelled on the 24th.. then she texted about the smell on the 25th. Does anyone else note that she first talked about the smell on the 24th, or are my notes incorrect?

Cindy did not pick Caylee up from Tony's apartment. According to Casey, Cindy phoned and she (Casey) took Caylee home. Cindy did not know where Tony lived, I'm not sure she was even aware of Tony's existence.

Hi chilly! I think she meant that she did not understand why, AFTER Caylee was already missing and Cindy went and got Casey from Tony's by having Amy show her where she was, Cindy did not demand to search Tony's apartment to look for Caylee or some sign she had even been there...

Let me explain it this way....If my grand daughter were missing for 31 days...and I just found my daughter that I had not seen in a month...I would go directly to where she was or had been staying (the place I just picked her up from) and I would tear it apart looking for my grand daughter. I would have NO REASON to go look in MY OWN BACK YARD....unless my last name was Anthony! This whole action makes no sense to me....
