She said it had "markers and stickers" if I recall. I will have to go look again since I have slept since then...but what does that even have to do with new witness guy? If the trunk lid was up...he could not see the shamrock!

Your Honor: It's relevant because some people are questioning the credibility of his story and some posters are using the other witness to help "back up" his story. :)

The only kind of people that I know of that go hunting for steel and copper are tweakers! I am not saying he is, but I am just saying kind of odd.

That is not true, I have a friend who has been "scraping" for years, it's how he makes his living and he is not a tweaker. Never mind times are tough for many people right now out of work, there are people who have had to resort to scraping metal to make ends meet because they have lost their job, or spouse did, you name it, it's tough times for people. Not everyone who looks for copper and metal are tweakers and or drug addicts. Please don't sterotype this man or anyone else that does what they can to eat and provide for their family.

Maybe it was just a hobby or a way to get extra cash. These are tough times economically. He obviously has a job and an employer who values him. I live in a beach community and there are CFO's who spend afternoons combing the beach for driftwood and whatnot. They're not tweakers!

LOL I see.

I wish we had more than just a blurb from the female witness. Hard to tell exactly what she saw without a statement from her directly, imo. Too bad she didn't go on WFTV first!

Sad to say, but I wonder if this witness was to boost viewer ratings for WFTV.

The company the witness works for and WFTV are owned by the same "corporation" (unsure of the owner title here). Coincidence?

I would say yes. He seems like a concerned citizen who wants to come forward with what he saw and find Caylee. The concidence to me would be why would Cindy and Casey be on the same road the day she was arrested?

The more we get into this witness and this sighting...the more people want to desperately tear him down. It tells me we are on the right track and should keep digging for more information here. ;)

Did anyone ever find that photo of Casey with a mark on her forehead?! We need to look for it.

Also on those photos taken in the same area, notice there is a piece of material which looks to be either a baby/child blanket or sleeper. It has dark blue or black outlines of what appear to be sock monkeys on it with white boots (not the brown sock monkeys). Maybe we could track down this while we are at it! I would like to find one similar to see first what it is (was) and maybe figure out where they are sold. I cannot think of a valid reason for a child's blanket or sleeper to be out in the woods in this particular area. It wouldn't be a good picnic spot or a place for them to be playing.

What news organization did Baez throw out of his office?

I just wanted to say that I agree with all the posters who are questioning why Cindy and Casey were on Boggy Creek Rd. that day. It just doesn't make sense to me. They had left Baez's office, correct? Then they were supposedly going to the Anthony home? If that is true, I can't for the life of me understand that route. I live here. I drove that area on Friday trying to get my bearings and it just doesn't make any sense at all! Unless I am mistaken that they were headed home. If they were going somewhere else then I suppose that would explain the route.

I tried posting this early this morning but I was asked to sign in which I did and my post was lost.
I remember the day KC was arrested, my sister was here and we were listening intently. Then the BCR was brought up and I didn't want to interrupt but I had to. I held my hand up and said "Whoa, BCR is a site of interest on WS as the folks there have her pinging from that area, etc etc. Since I'm not familiar with the area and I have trouble figuring out the ping maps locations, I can't tell for sure. But it did make me pause and sent chills up me. :waitasec:
I went to the ping map for the 27th and see where there are pings (one long one) between 5:30-6 something. I think it's significant, but one thing bothers me and that seems to be that the witness description sounded like she was struggling. He mentioned her kind of banging her head on the trunk. Makes me think the bag was heavy?? Maybe she was moving Caylee around??
I also think it was her last opportunity to revisit the scene, since she wasn't able to do that all these mos. Or give CA a hint as to where Caylee is. IMO LE has been great, but they arrested her way too soon. She would have eventually led them inadvertently to the scene as every criminal does and this would have been over long ago.
A big thanks to all who have put so much time and effort into doing the maps and the locals who actually take the time to go and look up these areas. :blowkiss:

WFTV -- he threw the WFTV reporter out of his office before the press conference on the day of the Grand Jury indictment. There's video on wftv.com I think...

I think she may have hit her head because she was in a hurry. (I have done that one.) I don't think there was anything in the bag at the time she was returning it to the trunk to be weighing it down unless she had it over the end of the shovel perhaps to prevent mud from getting all over the place.

I received an email from WFTV today (in response to comments I left them on their website), here's what they said:

Hi Janis:

Thank you very much for the feedback and kind words. We'll continue to
aggressively follow this tragic story.

Not sure of the latest rating but I can give you the numbers for locals news during TS Faye.

WFTV wins the ratings race with Fay coverage.

When viewers wanted to learn about Tropical Storm Fay on Monday, most turned to ABC affiliate WFTV-Channel 9.

In the 6 a.m. hour, WFTV scored a 6.3 rating. WESH-Channel 2 ran second with a 3.4 rating. WKMG-Channel 6 posted a 2.2 rating. And WOFL-Channel 35 scored a 1.5 rating.

Each rating represents 14,340 homes]

I have hit my head like that too, rushing. I would like to see that picture you mentioned too SS with the mark on her head. I have no idea where to look for it?
