2008.11.13 - 11.14 LP J Blanchard Park Search #2

I refuse to get drug into the Tim and Leonard battle. They both have been searching. If they have bad blood between them, they need to deal with it out of the media. Those kind of stories do nothing to help Caylee.

I wonder how it is that when TES does a search there are not cameras everywhere. :waitasec:

Because their searches weren't 10 feet from a concrete path and easy access parking lot in a public park?

Am I missing something.....

Is there some kind of law that says private citizens cannot go on public property & do any type of 'searching' they want to?

Is it against some law for a private citizen to have friends tape them searching?

Is it against some law for the media to appear in a public area?

I just don't understand why people want to make certain rules for HOW any missing child might eventually be found.

If it were MY child, I wouldn't care if MARTIANS were out helping me.... I'd invite anyone & everyone to help me & to do anything they could. And I'd LOVE to have the media's interest because that would mean I'd have a way of BEGGING even more people to come & help.

AND.... I'd tell everyone to play nice & not worry about what any other group is doing..... just concentrate on your own little location.

The more people I have searching.... the faster I'd know where MY CHILD IS NOT!

I agree. I'm not sure what went wrong, but don't drag each other down, when you have the same untimate goal, bringing Caylee home.

Sorry to interrupt but as I was leaving for work someone posted on this thread that 2 unmarked police cars arrived at the A's have we heard anything more about this? Please anyone that knows? I drove home as quick as I could and now I don't see anything on it.
Thanks

How do we not know there was not an undercover cop on the scene?

Well, I'm in very good company in my assesment of Leonard. I couldn't be in BETTER company.

Leonard may even be dirtier and stinkier than I thought. I'm glad I haven't gone out on a limb defending him.

I don't mind going out on a limb for anyone until they prove that my loyalty is misplaced, then I will climb off the limb. "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything".

I don't care if Leonard dances on cnn in a pink tutu while the search is going on as long as he is doing something.

and a pink cowboy hat, now that's a picture :)

I realize this but it doesn't mean he shared all the info with LE...

He probably didn't and that is why they are doing the polygraph. We know he has more information than what he has shared with us. Why would he concentrate on this location only. And how would he convince the divers to search, especially coming from all over. Erie, Pa even. He has to know something, more than the bead theory. What about Cocoa's church theory? He must be sure she is in this river because he is not searching the church. Did he even look at Moss Park?

I think his nephew, the one KC cooked for, knows a lot too. The way KC is with men she probably liked him and confided in him. Then he shared it with LP. Now they find this bag of "stuff" I think it IS something but LE won't say because they don't want all he** to break out at the park before they have a chance to "get back in the investigation". You have to admit, they have dropped the ball on their end. Why are they not working on this case, it is not solved?

Hope this makes sense, trying to keep up with the events of the day and my everyday life keeps interrupting Feed the family, do the laundry, run errands, pay bills...

Not only is it funny that it wasn't a necklace matching Casey's, it wasn't even a necklace at all. It wasn't even a shamrock. It was a fricking Gumby. What a total waste of time this has been.

Somehow since 9:00 am this morning not one time have I felt that this whole thing has been a waste of time.

Yes JustJax.. He mentioned he would be back up once he arrives at this hotel... So hopefully that is soon!

Thank you mamado...I was at work today when everything hit the fan, was very swamped with work but as I was reading along my emotions were all over the place.
Very emotional/ confusing day for all indeed!

But after all is said and done, I hope they NEVER stop searching for Caylee, whoever it may be. She needs to be laid to rest, first and foremost, and I think it will be dreadfull if she is not found. I could not take it if I had to hear for years after Casey is convicted , the A's continue claiming that Caylee is still out there alive!

It amazes me how people keep saying that and the answer is so obvious, thank you for explaining that, yet again.

Whittymom, you still have a life?? :)

I'm so glued here, a few things have ...ahem...slipped my mind...

Seriously though, I think you're on target, there's much mroe than meets the eye, and with the timing of the police visit to the A's house, I'm pretty much calling BS on the "not Caylee related" crap.

They are totally entitled to do all of those things. And the public members that don't agree with the hero worship of LP are entitled to comment on their feelings.

And when the professionals that are investigating this case, and who knows what other cases, are pulled off of what they are doing to come to the circus side show after answer 3000 phone calls from the public and the media about non existant evidence... they are entitled to say they don't feel like they are being helped.

Personally if I had a family member that was a crime victim, or was paying taxes in that county and the police were being led around by a TV bounty hunter, they were securing search locals of his choice, and the crime scene van was waiting in the parking lot I would be furious. LE has conducted their investigation and are continuing to do so. To think that LE should be waiting there or assisting this search is assanine and that is exactly what has been suggested on this board today.

Someone fed a bunch of false info to the media, not saying who cause I don't have a clue, but if a media frenzy reporting bones, shamrocks and matching pavers was going off in my name I might walk up to one of the the dozens of cameras I invited there and set the story straight before it blew up in my face (or ended up on CNN, Fox, and other national venues).

So the media made out bones and a shoe that wasn't there? They made out a shamrock that turned out to be a Gumby?

the diver that I saw said on camera, their job is to rescue the items, not to identify if they are related to the case. He said it may be bones, maybe not. He said they wasn't their job to identify if the items were related to the case, that was for LE. A plastic trash bag weighted down with bricks, seems worthy of further inspection to me. It was to LE to determine it after that.

I wonder how it is that when TES does a search there are not cameras everywhere. :waitasec:

There were 4 different camera crews and reporters on the A.M. Sat search I was on with TES, and at least 2 helicopters. In the afternoon search, my TES team leader brought the camera guy and a reporter onto restricted airport space to view what had been flagged.

TM talks to WFTV about what he thinks:

http://www.wftv.com/news/17972452/detail.html

*snip*
"Tim Miller, the founder of EquuSearch, a group that organized a massive weekend search for Caylee's remains, was very critical of Padilla.

"What a disgrace to society this man is for doing this kind of stuff," Miller said.

Miller said during the weekend search, Padilla had begged Miller to use his own divers to search the river. Miller recounted the conversation, saying Padilla said to him, "Tim Miller's divers out here, news cameras out here ... think how much money we could make, Tim."

Donations don't come out of the thin air.... without the media & the internet..... how does TES collect enough money for their searches?

Say what you will about LP or his methods but didn't TES collect a lot more money & MANY MORE volunteers for this second search because LP and NG were talking about it so extensively?

Now, even SEARCHERS aren't supposed to 'be making any money off Caylee'??????

But Orange County Sheriff's Office investigators said, in fact, there were no bones and the bag had nothing to do with the Caylee Anthony case. Additionally, the shamrock toy turned out to be a Gumby toy.

Not according to Murt who was sitting next to LP when the find was made, "a yellow gumby like toy with a yellow diaper (I believe that was a baby peek-achoo my dd had a bunch), a shamrock medallion like would be on a bracelet (no chain), a plastic ring. There were too many things to remember them all."

This sounds to me that KC cleaned out her backpack/purse and it reminds me of what she did with all the pix of Caylee (you remember the 300+ that she dumped before her arrest.

The accumulation of junk sounds like the bottom of my purse when my kids were little. Kids Meal toys, gum machine toys, all that carp kids love for 30 seconds at a time, then never think about again!

That is totally against TES policy. Your team leader should have been reported to Tim.
