Boy, that's an under statement. I was blown away by the amt of trash bags either buried or just thrown in the woods. Weird thing is, some of them were pretty deep into the woods. It would have been a hell of a lot easier to take them to the local dump then go thru the sticker bushes to put it in the woods. Kinda creepy to stumble over a full garbage bag deep in the woods when you are on a search.

True enough. Where I was wasn't a park though. I dont think a homeless person could have slept there b/c the sticker bushes were very high & vine so thick you tripped over it. I think it was just people's garbage they take into the woods. Me, I have a trash service.

Because Tim said that Leonard "Think of all the money WE could make, Tim!" while talking about Tim holding up Caylee's skull. He didn't say, money for equasearch, money for the search effort, he said "WE." And how anyone can still respect this man after he puts Caylee's skull and money into the same sentence is beyond me.

I believe Tim when he says Leonard said it. I have read extensively about the past histories of both of these men, and not one thing I've read would make me believe Tim would lie about this. I also believe that Tim would still be searching EXCEPT that to protect the reputation of TEQ, he had to disassociate from Leonard Padilla.

I agree, except that those words should have been kept to himself and not repeated on national t.v.! It does not make EITHER ONE look good, IMO.
I still respect both men... but this whole thing is just ridiculous.
I know several who have stated that they will no longer contribute to TES, just because of this, and that is a shame!!!

Practically sisters. The parallels are amazing:

Casey: Murdered her daughter and dumped her body afterwards, most likely after burying it and retrieving it in more than one place.

"That poster": got in credit card debt trying to keep an adopted cat alive and faced with the prospect of a decaying body, no "local crematorium", a vet on vacation and living in a house with the landlords downstairs, put the already-dead cat in a nature preserve in a remote area (with no bag).

Casey: After incident/murder, drove around with daughter's decaying body in car while partying nonstop in nightclubs for one week.

"That poster": After incident, went home and cried for a week in grief over the cat having died.

Amazing detective work. Maybe "That poster" even killed Caylee!

On a more serious note, nobody likes trash, litterers or anything of the sort. IMHO, this should be about discussing what happened to Caylee. This heinous crime has nothing to do with jaywalking, polluting, sending spam emails or any other crime. And, IMHO, it's borderline funny to see someone freaking out about a pampered cat that, after death, was put outside in a place as remote as some of the scenes in "No Country For Old Men" (different state though) twenty years ago.

Bottom line....I highly recommend refocusing on the crime committed in this instance. There are plenty of other boards where you can vent about cruelty against dead animals and littering.

I hope he goes for it ....no one else seems to want to look for Caylee anymore. I think LP is the only one capable of it at this point.

I wish Leonard would accept the offer and use the money to have the landfill searched! Probably not much luck there finding tiny bones but my guess is that is wher e you will find caylee.

I posted this on another thread, but it applies here:

I don't have a problem with filming searches as I have watched many, many credible news organizations which were on the scene with live streams being broadcast coast to coast and on the internet. I was watching when they brought up the car which held the body of the girl in WI. I was watching when they found others, too. These live stream broadcasts or filming in no way demeaned the search or the person being found.

Documentation is a good idea, imo, especially where searches of LP are concerned to prove no wrongdoing and also to show the "chain of evidence" on film in case anything is found. Make of it what you want, but I think he should consider it. If it means we are at all closer to bringing Caylee home by helping fund more searches...I am all for it!!

So the TES member's that are still in Orlando need to stop? I so believe everyone wants that child home. I think it's a difference in style, a difference in personality. I think both men want Caylee found. There really really are still TES members there. I hope everyone keep s looking so Caylee can be brought home. I think she will be found in God's time, not ours.

No need for irrelevant tangents, you're right about that, Chilly, but the relevance of what I've posted in the two (2) posts above goes to that poster's attempt to "explain" why someone might have trash bags in their vehicle full of trash, if you go back and reread the thread. (And the stations here in LA don't they're usually kept locked with a padlock, unless someone forgot to lock same.)

Please. I have lived all over Louisiana, and I have never been to a gas station that did not provide a large trash bin at every single pump island. They also have brown paper towels and a wet squeegee for cleaning your own windshield.

Interesting article.

I wonder what the company is? Entertainment Tonight? or a more legit news source like 20/20?? I would think people would want to wait and see WHO the money comes from and WHO is going to use Caylee's death for profit before agreeing with this.

BTW, I see LP is back in Cali. Any word on whether he took the poly or not?

Go for it LP. I know some ppl out there are gonna trash him for "cashing in" but if it helps find Caylee, I'm all for it. And he's been doing these searches out of his own pocket, so I don't see anything wrong with him recouping some of that money. His sole goal is to find caylee and if these ppl are willing to help him, I think it's a great idea. A blessing in fact.

And to the ppl who want to trash LP, what about all the donations the Anthony's have gotten--have we seen them actually search once?? And it's their own flesh and blood! So if you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at them, not LP. His heart is in the right place, always has been.

I think he should be really careful before doing something like this. If he finds her that would be great on multiple levels, and he would be glad he did it. If he comes up empty the editing job on that film footage could be horrible. It could be laid against the "profit from tragedy" point of view, and with the things he tends to say they could really make him look like a bafoon. If they invest $200,000 in this they are going to use that footage one way or another.

Will you feel the same way if the "company" turns out to be an entertainment company, like Entertainment Tonight? Or a rag like you see pictures of aliens meeting with the president? If it turns out to be the reality show series Leonard has been shopping for for a LONG time now? And he doesn't want to do the reality show out of the goodness of his heart, either, and it's just possible that his actions in the Caylee Anthony disappearance factor into that.

I do not know how much money the Anthony's have collected, but even if you think they are misusing the funds----they have printed up a huge billboard, t-shirts and missing posters, among other expenses----two wrongs would not make a right.

TEQ takes donations without strings attached. No donator is ever given special priviledges. Tim does not personally profit from the donations. That's PROFESSIONAL. Leonard is considering taking money and granting favors.....why aren't those who are upset that Tim asks for donations not upset about this?

I imagine next we'll see a poll on "Leonard wants us to vote and see if we want him to accept this money!!!"
