2008.12.11 Lt. Tammy Uncer Interview "Jail worker who saw KC's reaction"

One of the reasons why I wondered if she faked that reaction was because with her family she was always talking about how everything she did the media and police were watching and "it is yet another thing they will use against me" so that says to me that she understands that what she does is being watched and it matters. Now I truly believe she doesn't have a clue as to what is the normal reaction that someone would have so she won't ever get it right unless her attorneys tell her exactly what to do in detail. In some ways she seems like she just doesn't care what anyone thinks and will do what she wants but then I remember her making that statement several times. I have a feeling we will never know her true thinking on anything. I do know that if we are wondering and trying to understand then so is her family.

"Can the state question a corrections officer about their observations? Yes. However, if the corrections officer was acting as an arm of law enforcement or the state attorney's office and it was done secretly, there's some real trouble with that," NeJame said. (Bold by me)

This is very confusing. Of course a corrections officer is an arm of law enforcement. I don't understand his point. He may be getting at the fact that they are eliciting some kind of “testimony” in a sense without the presence of her attorney, however, jail inmates are always under video surveillance so it may have been just sneaky enough for the state to get away with.

I don't think the corrections officers are placed there to spy. It is not their job. Otherwise they would have to go to court and testify to all the information they gave to the state that was not given to the defense. I really don't think any of this will ever show up in a courtroom. No video's , no correction officer taking the stand either. It will all fade away. Except that the whole world will know every drop of information , no matter that it is not admissible in court. I think Florida sunshine laws (when it pertains to pending trials) are a big mistake. The jury pool is so completely fouled that I wouldn't trust any jury to give an honest answer when they were being seated. JMHO

I agree in part with some of your observations, but I don't think her alleged reaction to the remains found near her home was because she was tailoring her response to what people expected. If that were the case, she would have shown emotion earlier on and more frequently. The only time she really seemed to have an emotional reaction at all was when CA and LA confronted her the night CA called police (supposedly), when the GJ indicted her and one of her first appearances in court (bond hearing maybe).
Part of the problem with this case is we're all trying to view her with what would be normal for anyone, but normal doesn't fit here, if it did, the events leading up to this case wouldn't have happened. I don't think her alleged reaction to the unidentified remains near her house had anything to do with oh my gosh, my poor daughter.....I think they had everything to do with oh my gosh, I'm really in it now. JMO.

Have you listened to the 3rd 911 call? or the enhanced 911 call? (available on 'You-Tube', I believe) KC's demeanor when speaking to 911 raised HUGE red flags to LE. On the "enhanced" version KC can be heard saying "I have nothing to say to them", when 911 dispatcher asked Cindy to put the child's mother on the phone. Undoubtably heard by dispatch. A quiet room or headphones help.

KC couldn't be anymore bored with the whole conversation, then she would have been talking about grass growing. If you listen hard you'll probably catch her yawning. No way do I believe she was upset over the loss of her daughter. More likely if there was a tear it was because Cindy found her, KC knows the party is over.

Yes, yes, yes. Normal doesn't not call LE/911 when their child goes missing, when their child is injured, when their child stops breathing, FOR ANY REASON! Normal doesn't medicate their child to sleep, so they can go party. Normal doesn't use inappropriate drugs in their two year old, EVER!!!

If you look back over the times KC has reacted emotionally, every time it was sparked by a reference to KC not Caylee. The presser following the JG hearing, (paraphrasing here) Jose says 'KC has a daughter who is missing', nothing. 'KC is a daughter', this is the line that enabled KC to shed a single tear, that seemed to surprise even her. At the bond hearing, KC was seeing her parents for the first time since the day she was arrested. G & C both were sending KC silent 'I love yous' this seemed to have a teary effect on Miss KC.

The other emotion that KC has shared with the world is RAGE. If Cindy had the nerve to ask KC a question she didn't want to answer, instead of reacting with a rational 'I can't answer that, mom'. KC erupts in a tantrum that would make any 2 y o take notice. Her face gets red, she clenches her fists, she looked like she might slam her head on the plexi-glass! (Any wonder JB put the kibosh on her visitors?)

Video of visit Aug 14th/released January 15 '09

http://www.wesh.com/download/2008/0724/16979711.mp3

In the first phone call home after being arrested KC makes the infamous "huge waste" comments to her friend Kristina, who cries on the phone to her "If anything happens to Caylee I will die, just die." A pizzy KC, already angry after seeing Cindy on the news has used up all tolerance for those losers, that day and gets off the phone immediately after getting TonE's phone number. Such a loving mother.

The visit from Geo, following Caylee's 3rd BDay was a combination of anger and self pity. She starts out by telling Geo, Caylee's Bday was horrible for her, she spent the day in bed. Then she says she heard (wrongly!) they had a get together with her fav, a pot of Cindy's homemade chili. Ummm how about Caylee's fav? Strangely Caylee didn't really come up when they were talking about why the day should have been special....

And then there was her reaction to Cindy's tears. For this we see both disgust/disdain and a big smile. A normal person I would give the benefit of the doubt that they were trying to cheer up the person in tears. This time, to me it looked like she was enjoying Cindy's pain. errrr

It appears JB believed KC when she claimed Caylee was taken, for whatever reason by a person who loves her. When Caylee turned up 1/4 mile from the A's home, all illusion of Caylee being returned and KC being Mom of the year, for silently protecting her daughter was wiped right off that slate. No more reasonable doubt, no more chances. KC knew her game was up and it possibly brought her to tears.

If there is another thread on this, please feel free to delete and move my post. I didn't see one. I had a couple of questions about this.

http://www.clickorlando.com/news/18941559/detail.html#-

Why does Baez think there was some conspiracy here to get KC to reveal some big news?

Also, the statement by NeJame is confusing to me. What law is violated here by the state if they followed procedure and she was in a common reception area of the jail? She wasn't in a medical room talking to a medical professional.

"Can the state question a corrections officer about their observations? Yes. However, if the corrections officer was acting as an arm of law enforcement or the state attorney's office and it was done secretly, there's some real trouble with that," NeJame said.

I'm thinking NeJ may to be referring to an entrapment issue of some sort.....

I don't think LE had any reason to suspect that KC would react in ANY way so I can't believe there was any "conspiracy" to catch KC.

I think the prison just carried out procedure as usual and KC gave LE a gift and the Lt witnessed it.

Baez, as usual, is grasping at air.....imo

My concern is.. Why did they have Casey watching T.V news at this VERY MOMENT??:waitasec:
They had to take her to "see" the TV. This is not like Casey was watching TV and the news came on. This is like.... We found the body.. it is on the news.. take Casey to watch the news in a Video Survellianced area so we can catch her reaction. Kinda seems staged doesn't it???

Meanwhile, we were being told that she was in her cell and a prision minister told her the news.

I am not for Casey by a long shot. But why why why.... did they have her watching tv at this very moment??? I thought that she was taken to a medical area.. told the news and video taped because that specific area is always video taped. Geez, why did they let her find out by watching the news? :tsktsk:

This is the only place I think the prison screwed up. I also think the prision guard yakked to much to family, friends and the news... just for a little attention. "sources say" and all that jazz. I also think this is the very reason that LE sent a strong message about leaks. They know Uncer... LEAKED.

Should the SA or LE question the guard about her reaction... YES. Could they have broke the news to her more professionally? YES.
Did they mean to "set this up"? It is questionable because... why was she let out to ge the news from the TV???? :tsktsk:

I've mentioned this before.......the local TV stations INTERRUPTED programming to announce that a child"s skull was found in the area off Suburban.

They continued to interrupt and in some cases stayed in the newsroom with continuing updates.

The TV in the waiting room where KC was taken did not need to be tuned to the news in order for her to see the information!!! It was all over the local stations within an hour of the 911 call.

I don't think it is going to matter one way or the other. Didn't we all hope it was not Caylee , but also deep down throught it was her. Casey may be crazy or dumb.. but crazy or dumb enough to have a reaction when it wasn't to her benefit. I think she had a natural fear that it was Caylee. It is interesting that the Park incident was very different.. of course mysteriously there will be no tape of that I suppose. LA drove through that park that day two or three times I think. I was watching the search on MURT's live show. Just another ring to the circus.

My personal mantra to criminals has always been.

"If ya can't do the time, don't do the crime"

If you don't like the way your treated in jail, then don't murder your baby, dump her like trash and then party and lie about it. Problem solved.

Meanwhile, we were being told that she was in her cell and a prision minister told her the news.

The prison minister was to inform KC that the remains had been confirmed as being Caylee, around the 18th or 19th, or a week after the discovery. Baez complained about that, because he wanted to be the one to break the news.

Does not sound like Casey cried at all, but she had significant physical reactions.

"Very, very odd for her to request a sedative." Casey asked for her attorney fairly quickly. Then she started about National Championship Football??????????????

Then she cried after JB arrived. Probably because she knew then she was in really deep carp.

Wow, a true "red handed" reaction!

The officer said they took her to see the TV, could this be something that could keep this out of court ?
