'The defense did not want the recordings to be released, and requested a judge to rule them private. No ruling had been made before Monday’s accidental release.

'The judge was expected to rule on the audio files May 7.'

and

http://www.clickorlando.com/news/19116201/detail.html

'Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, filed a motion weeks ago, asking the judge in the case to block the release of the interviews. The judge has yet to rule on the motion, and in an e-mail sent Monday afternoon, the state attorney's office acknowledged that it inadvertently included the interviews among a mountain of other evidence that was released earlier in the day.'

So, how did JB ask for a rulling without filing the appropriate motion? Not arguing....just asking??

I just don't think JBaez knows how to do certain things and, as a practical matter, the substance of what he wants may be to suppress -or, since he likely now knows he screwed up the pleading (again) he'll try to fashion out an appropriate argument supporting what he did wrote and file, but he hasn't said such, and although an incorrect title on a pleading shouldn't operate to bar what's being sought if what's being sought is legal/appropriate, JBaez's various filings don't mention the appropriate law.
Not to mention that all of the foregoing had to do with the release to the public - NOT suppression for use by the SA at a trial or hearing.

I was thinking back on the day of discovery. For the longest time, the news had the location wrong. I had to google map and "street view" it to find exactly where they were. Perhaps she could not tell where they actually were until she saw the news coverage on television. Only then could she see the actual location, complete with fence, etc.

I can't believe she wouldn't think that a small child's remains found off Hopespring Drive on Suburban wouldn't register. I don't care how far off the reports were, which weren't that much more specific......She can't have been fooled.

True. If I had been the one to put the body there, I probably wouldn't have been fooled either. I seem to recall, however the media saying Chickasaw not Suburban...does anyone else remember this?

I do....but c'mon. The area doesn't look like there'd be a rash of people dumping small children into wooded areas, does it?

Sorry, that's the best I have. I thought it was strange when they first reported it incorrectly. There's no telling what was being said on the radio...personally, I find it almost funny to think of Casey not certain if she should wig out or not.

In Richardson's interview he does state that KC was already showing some signs of emotional distress when they did arrive at her cell to escort her to the medical office area.

What I found most curious is that he also states that KC seemed concerned that no one was telling her what was going on - NOT - anything about Caylee.

Maybe KC was unaware of a location depending on which radio station she was listening to. According to Richardson's statement she did say no one was telling her what was going on so letting her see the TV monitor allowed her to see what was going on. Not sure whether they are permitted to discuss anything which might directly relate to KC's case with her without her attorney present.

I feel ya, Monkey. "Now let's see.....they have the right cross street, they're mentioning woods, but they're saying Chickasaw....should I just be calm? Maybe there will be someone here soon who I can talk about and exchange crime notes with!! Oh wait, shoot.......They moved it closer to Hopespring. MY BABY!!!!!!!NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!(fake tears). May I have some meds please? I've had a rough day."

I really do not think that KC had the physical ability to throw Calyee as described. If she was able to do that and throw her that far into the woods, there would be a very good chance of bones being broken or fractured. And so far there was nothing indicating any bones were broke. IMO she placed her there puposely, and disposed of the original shoes/boots with possible coverings (scrubs), like what surgeons use in ERs. What do you all think?

Sorry I meant to say THE tossing of Caylee.. I am so sorry

I agree that it is unlikely that she had to heave the bag from any distance to where it was discovered. If there was water in the area, it's most likely she just tossed it into the water and didn't really care whether it floated or sunk. As the water dissipated, it came to rest where it was found.

Exactly, all that twaddle about only relying on herself and she becomes her own worst enemy...buahahahaha!!!!
I also recall some oddity about another suspicious find at the corner of Hopespring and Suburban. Three guys found what LE said was a bomb? A string, a pipe, etc...aye aye aye! It made me wonder what sort of neighborhood this was.

I think the audio with Uncer is soooo telling. If she was innocent wouldn't she be crying and saying" What if it's my baby?"
She sounds to be more like a caged animal or insect trying to get away from a predator! She sounds like she got caught, which may really be for the first time in her life. She was always able to lie and reason her way out of these things....Hence the constant smug looks initially when she was first charged.
This feeling of being caught with no way out was probably a complete foreign emotion to her psyche and body.
I felt creeped out more from these audios and interviews with LE than I ever have in this case.
She is evil personified:(

I'd hardly call walking into the woods to dump your child's body, "playing with snakes". Snakes are everywhere, this lot was not a special snake sanctuary, crawling with reptiles. It was just an empty lot like many others. I think the snake thing is a tad bit overblown.

I totally agree. When we went out searching with TES, we went 100 yards off the road into dense thicket up to our thighs. Hundreds and hundreds of us went into that kind of brush (hundreds of others searched more open fields). KC going 5 feet in and giving the trashbag a toss is NOTHING.

(When we were searching, the leaders all pretty much felt that if anything was found it would be found within 20 feet of the road, because they knew she was too self-absorbed to go further in. I didn't agree (because she is in good shape, not elderly or physically unable) with that thinking, but they were right). Not once did I or anyone I was with talk about snakes on the search. I'd be more worried about some of the trash we went through, or hobo campsites (that for all we knew could have hypodermic needles laying around).. We knew to be cautious, but hearing all this snake den talk is not accurate. T
There may be snakes in that area, but there are snakes in any woods in America, no big deal.

Hearing this description of Casey's reaction to the news has changed the way I feel about this case and her in a big way. I know this based on any logic at all, just a feeling in my gut.

I had held out all along that Caylee's death was an accident, although I've believed she was guilty of some level of neglect/abuse that led to the accident. Now I'm not so sure she sin't guilty of cold-blooded murder or anything else!

I'm not convinced it was deliberate murder even now, really, but I am just shocked and chilled and horrified at her reaction. It's affected me more emotionally than anything in the case (except of course for the tragedy of little Caylees' death). . . after how cool and basically emotionless she's been all along about everything, her supposed 'missing' daughter, and now, the idea that she's been caught (and that's all one can conclude as the reason for her panic) is what upsets her like this???!!!??!!

Not the loss of her daughter, what she's done to her family, etc. just that she's in big trouble. How can someone be so cold and so self-centered. I'm just in shock. How dare she! I think I need to take a break from this case. :furious::furious:

Maybe they can shed some light on this. I don't remember Jose saying anything about these interviews. The video, I recall. Seems as if he was given 20 days from viewing the video to make a report to Judge Strickland...

I understand! Many times I have been working through a particular thread and typing along and I just freeze, realizing that I'm talking about the murder of a little girl. It chills my blood. Casey's actions, reactions, her family's actions, all the spin and the games they keep playing, trying to win public sentiment...
I have to warn myself not to look at their deeds through my own sensibilities.
