I don't think it's an issue between LE and the family, so maybe she doesn't see a need to ask. Actually I got the feeling she wants it protected as much as LE.

I hope they are asking RJ something along the lines of, when you saw this man, did you try and wake Misty? Didn't she say RJ had gotten up to go to the bathroom at some point? Did we ever get a time on that? Or is that hoping for too much?

I believe she explained as though she had just laid down, Jr. got up, but she was so tired she dosed right off.
If he got up later, she'd have to explain why his getting up awakened her, but someone taking Haleigh didn't. JMO

If he got up later, she'd have to explain why his getting up awakened her, but someone taking Haleigh didn't. JMO

Who lets a 3 yr old wander around on their own at night? I can understand if he got up after Misty went to sleep, but I'm surprised she didn't go and check on him when she saw him leaving the room. JMO

If there's any truth to MC being gone for a few days and doing drugs, and being so tired because she'd been up all that time, then what business did she have taking care of Haleigh and Jr. that night ~ being so tired she didn't wake up when Haleigh was taken out of the room?? Even if what's been reported about her isn't true then she still sure wasn't much good in watching over the children at night. MOO

What if the thing about seeing see RJ in the bedroom, walking out of the room, but Misty passing back out is a half truth? What if she saw someone in the room, but really was too drugged or honestly tired to react? Or out of guilt, she convinced herself that it was one of the kids that she saw instead of allowing herself to believe that she passed out with a stranger in the house?

I thought that part was quite chilling. I hadn't even considered that the perp would know or think that JR could recognize him and hence put JR in danger. The way Grandma said it kind of implied that JR knows and told investigators more...

If this was true,do you know how much it would take to cut through a trailer floor and how much noise?

My sister's trailer has a door type thing in her back bathroom that goes
under her trailer so they can turn off the main water etc.
It's kind of like the cover to an attic but it's in the floor.

Oh, I agree. I can't imagine not following a 4 yr. old to make sure he gets to the bathroom OK in a dark home. And like I've said from the beginning, she says she got up to go to the bathroom/get a drink, noticed the light on, then checked on the kids. I have never left a room with sleeping kids in it without checking them as I'm leaving the room to make sure I don't wake them. I think she should have noticed Haleigh gone before noticing the kitchen light.

Know what, tho, tehcloser? If the previous tenant was a pedophile or RSO, a nice little trap door maybe under where the sofa is placed would be a very good spot for their child . Maybe there really IS a hole in the floor somewhere. It is just too odd a reference, IMO.

According to the link below, post #437, there was a SO predator that lived at Haleigh's address..JJ L. ....unless at some point between this post back on the 15th and now, something was found to dispute that.

I said before I would like to know what transpired the weekend before this fateful Monday. Rumors are that MC was on a three day binge. Rumor has it that RC kicked her out of his home. Even the pastor said MC had had an "active" weekend.
If he kicked her out and she sought solace ,durgs (sic) she would be so mad at RC. Who did she party with over the weekend? Cousin? And I noticed from another poster that RC's hand was indeed bloodied and beat up during his very fisrt interview. Fight? Cousin? Gun? Are we really that far from the truth here?
Just wondering...
