Ha-ha-ha! White leather furniture... in a hotel... in Putnam County. That's pretty darned funny. [And yes, I'm a local, and I'm related to 2 local hotel owners.]

Maybe my friends and neighbors and I are as crazy as loons and dumb as doornails, but not a single one has EVER mentioned Haleigh's mother as a possible suspect. NONE. Not 1. Zero. Not even a hint of such a thing.

This Small Town, USA. People gossip and speculate, but honest-to-God, NO ONE here has EVER mentioned Crystal S in regards to what happened to Haleigh.

Most of us did originally think that Ron and/or Misty had something to do with it, whether by intent or neglect. Though many still wonder about Misty's sobriety that night and Ron's bad temper, we all agree: in our opinion, no one in either of those two families is cunning enough to pull this off without leaving a trace, nor is anyone in either family evil enough to plan it out.

We pray that this will turn out to be some horrible accident, and she will be found upstream in the river. We fear deep down that it was a predator, because that makes our own children vulnerable.

The only definite "bad guy" in this story to date is GR.

Do not kid yourselves, dear readers. DCF and PCSO are watching Crystal [and Ron and Misty and g'mothers] like hawks. They might not be the brightest bulbs on the Christmas tree, but even those two agencies realize that they're under a microscope.

P.S. winterose:
I would appreciate seeing the link to the local newspaper with all of those suspicions posted, winterrose. I don't doubt you; I'm just curious which newspaper that was in, as I haven't seen it before.

You know LFlorida, I really enjoy your posts and try to never miss one.

That goes for all our locals here in the case too. The local slant on what's happening is just invaluable to us all here. Do you have a Southern drawl? LOLOLOLOL Just yokin', but it is nice to know as then I would read your posts with that in mind and really get the flavor. And I am serious about that. Just the same as my English and Portuguese friends in Madeleine's case. :blowkiss:

Yeah I do think she's grieving. Her daughter's been kidnapped, and probably worse. My reaction and your reaction aren't the only reactions acceptable. I believe she's cried plenty. Poor judgement tonight, sure.

I wonder if a judge would see this as just "poor judgement". She's grieving? About as much as another loving mother in the news!

That's okay,I've been in trouble alot lately,I'm learning.I think it's because we just went through this with Caylee and now another little girl, our emotions are high and we're touchy.

Awwwww, thank you for the chin up! HUGS! Kinda funny. Here I am 51, don't swear, drink or do drugs, and I'm feeling so scolded over what I thought was a funny name! lol. I can understand though the time and place concept. Will be walking on eggs for a while now. lol

The interviews and dog searches were prior to Junior being on TV. They came after GR's program last week, when he made some very public charges of Ron. GR is no dope, he is getting inside info from somewhere. You may harbor resentment towards GR for his stand with Baez in the Casey case, I know I did, but this time, Geraldo is on the right track. Just you wait and see what happens in the next week after tonights show. LE will be tracking down the woman who witnessed Misty at a party house. Its going to be interesting.

Are the FBI still involved...would they not have assisted in investigating MC's where abouts...I just don't see her being able fool them for too long.

It is really unfair to blame RC for Haleigh missing. We do not know what happened to Haleigh at this point. The whole having sex with a minor thing is so insignificant at the moment, I am sure if LE has a problem and can prove Misty and RC are having sex once this Haleigh is found they will take any steps that need to be taken.

I agree, but feel it's equally, if not more unfair to blame Crystal. Child support right now is just as insignificant IMO. Something about this mother being bashed makes me want to jump to her defense.

was just curious...

here...if a father doesnt pay child support, i've seen mothers deny visitation until its been paid... just thought id ask what the actual law was

Florida Statutes, Ch. 61 PART II

UNIFORM CHILD CUSTODY
JURISDICTION AND ENFORCEMENT ACT

http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes...teYear=2008&Title=->2008->Chapter 61->Part II

I also subscribe to FL Administrative Rules update, if you would like those. [Yeah, lawyer's daughter and law school student.]

LOL Sorry...but Geraldo hasn't been on the "right track" on a story in so long I honestly do not see how he is still on the air, imo. Vault. Soldiers. Caylee. And many more...

I saw what happened after last week's show...LE tracked down Geraldo and served him with papers. I really can't wait to see what LE's reaction will be this week!!

It is hard for me to defend her when she puts her 4 yr old son in danger, when she does interviews bashing the children's father, and doesn't take the opportunity during these interviews to plead for the safe return of her daughter.

I agree, but feel it's equally, if not more unfair to blame Crystal. Child support right now is just as insignificant IMO. Something about this mother being bashed makes me want to jump to her defense.

I think the issue of unpaid child support was brought in more of an issue of a motive. I honestly was on the fence about Crystal until I saw the interview she did about the media saying she was missing. Sorry that "me" crap just is not normal when your child is missing. JMO

I dont see how its unfair to voice your opinion on CS action tonight on GR by putting her 4 yr old on tv to say he seen the kidnapper:waitasec:

I think they get away with denying it because the person who hasn't paid their child support doesn't want to go into the courthouse and take the chance of answering for the unpaid child support or they aren't sure if they have a warrant yet and don't want to call the police to enforce the court order...JMO

In California the child support is ordered by the court after the custodial parent has filed the necessary paperwork. Then it is automatically withdrawn, including arrears, from whatever source of income the other parent has. But I think it is illegal in Calif.? to restrict the nonpaying parent from visitations
based on nonpayment. At least I think that's the way it is currently? Does anyone know if Florida law is different than that?

Hey, I wasn't scolding. You wouldn't believe some of the out and out dumb things I did when I was a newbie. I don't want you to think I was scolding...the name thing is in one of the stickies, but we are racking up a lot of them, so by the time you get through them all, you've forgotten what you read in the first one. :blowkiss:

ETA: So you don't feel so alone, just earlier tonight I posted a link to Satsuma, GA instead of Satsuma FL.

i really don't think a child that young could identify a stranger as I dont think LE would consider them credible. As far as this perp coming out of the wood work to harm Jr., I think thats a stretch too. Of course its possible but why take a chance getting caught. If this really was an intrudor the guy was slick. Either experienced or experienced in robbing houses.
the squeaking is going to drive me crazy. theres some type of tennis shoes that were noted for squeaking but i can't remember what brand it was.

Reasons why shoes might squeak include; poorly made shoes, sweaty feet while not wearing socks etc.

LOL They were No tressapssing papers to a field in the woods where a tent and a trailor were set up. I doubt Geraldo was glum about not being welcomed back there. He got what he needed.

I have cousins out that way. Their parents grew up here, and all my cousins were born here and lived here a while, but they fell right into the coonass accent. One even married a cajun, matter of fact.

[I still cannot pronounce New Orleans in only 2 syllables, lol.]

Here is a link to the FL Courts Family Law Self-Help Center. Might be written in a language closer to English than the legalese of the state constitution.
