I just got here. I was out shopping for a new mircrowave as mine quit yesterday........and we needed one.

I"m disappointed that the DP is off the table. I'd rather see a jury make the decision after hearing all the evidence.

Me too Leila, me too. (above bolded by me)

Whoa, what did she have for breakfast?? She wants to know if totmom will feel anything upon receiving a lethal injection??

Somehow I missed this question and answer, what did the doc say? Will she feel anything?

I think LA's laughing is a nervous/uncomfortable reaction. I tend to do that when I"m uncomfortable and my husband totally doesn't understand and takes it for enjoyment or pleasure when that's not the case...

I'm a nervous laugher too but even I wouldn't be doing it if the topic of conversation centered around my neice or nephews death. moo

Haha! He said they give sodium pentethol first (truth serum) & my first thought was, why can't they give it to her now? Then, another injection of potassium ?? But, Nancy's question, "So she really won't feel anything?" was really disappointing to her!

Casey

But Tuesday night spokesperson Randy Means said that “They are preparing the case before them and nothing has changed.” And the penalty they are seeking has not changed but this is "not a predictor of the future"

:waitasec:
I think they saw how ticked off Nancy was tonight.

I am disappointed too! I think we should put certain murderer's to death by the means they used on their victims. Seems only fair to me. I think it would be a good deterrent. jmho

Great point! Maybe thats why the state has made this decision, coz they want him to stay on the case! he he

doogiesgirl,I thought of that also!! funny but true.I also think they want to be sure of a conviction ~ if many in favor of DP,could one cause a hung jury?

This goes to last's night's show but still relevant: someone called up and made the point that no one seems to be sitting in the courtroom as a representative for Caylee. I cannot believe that no one in that family will stand up for Caylee, (I hate them all), but what about someone in the community: a victims right advocate, Cindy or Geo's siblings, anyone? If I lived there, I'd go and sit for her every single day, waving a banner for Caylee and her rights.

Well great minds think alike! lol That hung jury thing is a good question, maybe we have a lawyer on here that could answer that. I am bouncing, must watch one of the few shows I turn the tv on for--The Real Housewives of New York City! ha Night all.

You know what, that is a great idea. I bet there are victims rights org. that would be glad to do that. Caylee deserves as many people there for her as they will allow in to the courtroom. (GA did wear a Caylee button to court yesterday but after the last doc release I have some issues with him. I don't think he is as for the truth as I thought.)

I believe in karma or you reap what you sow and I truly believe they all will get their's in the end, whether it's in our time or when it's God's time. One day they will have to answer for what they've done and not done. Caylee will have all the cops and the state atty's on her side and the other side be damned.

I agree, who is representing Caylee? The state and media are and all of us, but we arent there, just the state is. Its SAD.
PS I also would like to say that I agreed with NG tonight. If KC was NOT a white- nice looking young mother from a middle class home would she get the death penalty? YES.
(And IMO would she get all the help she has if she wasnt who she is? NO).

I only caught the very beginning of the NG show but it put a smile on my face to see her fired up. I didn't get to see the part where she asked this question.

They must have their reasoning for leaving the death penalty off the table at this point. I'm going to trust that they do anyway... that's the hope in me.

For anyone who happens to be interested, here's a very concise and clinical explanation of the lethal injection routine: http://people.howstuffworks.com/lethal-injection4.htm

I don't live in Florida so that state isn't representing me, per se, but if I were a resident tax payer there I'd want them to go after the death penalty. If you've had to go this far, and you have, and to the expense to this point, and you have, then go all the way. As someone who supports the idea of the death penalty, this case strikes me as one that legally is a clear-cut candidate for it. Not to mention that it seems the public demands it - neither here nor there legally, I guess.

I do think, tho, no matter what happens at trial, justice will find it's way.
