2009.03.25 - Motions Hearing

If someone took your child and said if you don't pay me $$ within 30 days I will kill her and if you tell the police I will kill her. What would you do? just curious?

I think I would still go to the authorities, figuring they are going to kill her no matter.

I can tell you I would not be out clubbing.

I would also but I am not sure a 23 year old would go to the police. She might actually think I need to "club" in order to keep my friends close so I can steal $$ from them to pay this creep. I mean during this time, she stole 400 from Amy, got all the cash for the plane tickets, cashed some checks of Amy. Who knows what else was stolen and pawn and didn't TL apartment get broken into? Did they find who did it or what was stolen.

As we saw however, she used the money at Target to buy bras, sunglasses, beer, snacks, clothes...and nothing for Caylee. Also paying for a tattoo that said "beautiful life" (and trust me, tattoos don't come cheap). She wasn't saving up any money to pay anyone. She also never claimed anyone asked her to pay money, just wait it out until your "lesson has been taught." Even if she wasn't alerting authorities she still should have been LOOKING for her. All cell phone pings and stories from her friends that she was constantly partying or crashing at people's houses show that she wasn't.

Wow! Do you honestly believe this, or are you just playing devil's advocate?

This picture is the most telling to me. Just look at that smirk on JB's face. I am normally a calm person, but if I were the SA I would probably lose my cool at his smugness too.

This is right after he asked the judge to remind the SA about ethics. He sure looks worried about it doesn't he? He looks more like a little kid who just told on his big brother for something. Nah,na, nah, na, naaa, naaa.

Instead of spending the money I stole (one of the means to get my child back) at Target, I would have given it to the "nanny" for the ransom

There was never any ransom for Caylee and no excuses for Casey not reporting her child "missing".....

I'm trying to figure out the point here? The fictitious Zanny did not hold Caylee for ransom for 30 days, nor did she threaten to kill her if the police were told....remember Lee said in his deposition for the civil case that the imaginary Zanny took Caylee to "teach her a lesson." Also when Casey relayed this story in the car ride to JB's office, she never said those things. She said that imaginary Zanny took Caylee and gave her a list.

And let's be realistic...I have children, if someone kidnapped one of my boys I'm going straight to the police because THEY have the resources to find them, I don't. But I certainly wouldn't be at the club partying like Casey.

Hmmm.. that was mostly a pretty dry hearing. But I agree with the others that defenses' little victory today will help them lose the war in the end. Hehe... JB... what a tool.

My take on the prosecutor's irritation at the end is that JB asked the judge that their on camera convo was kept private... and then the judge said "I shouldn't have to remind you that this is private" or whathaveyou. Hehe.. The prosecutor was probably thinking. "Of course it's private, you idiot. Why do you think we went in the other room?"

JB is such a dolt.

I know!! What a jerk, IMO! I really dislike this "man"- he and Casey make a great pair!

I too am not convinced it was Casey that killed Caylee but I really don't think TonE is involved.

Seeing GA and CA sitting there in court...I have to wonder...have they not returned to work yet? The daily TV appearances are done and court is only once in awhile...what's keeping them busy?

I'm sure Cindy's got her hands in something.

I wouldn't tell anyone
I would go out on a date with my boyfriend
I would party party party, just like i was told to do
I would avoid my parents
I would abandon my car because apparently it was out of gas and I don't know how to use gas cans.
I would beg my mother to give me one more day to figure out my next move
I would certainly LIE to LE about everything even though the 30 days had expired and I really should have my daughter back by now so maybe the kidnappers where lying to me.
Oh and for sure, plant some human decay smell in my back yard, cause the dogs might be in on it too!

I don't have to look...I remember it well from the video of the hearing. It made me want to wretch. He was soooooo wanting to get the eye of the SA at the end...good thing he turned his back to him.

Considering that the person was a figment of KC's imagination I would have sent imaginary money.

Bottom line is that there was no kidnapper. While Caylee lay rotting in a couple of garbage bags, her killer was out living La Bella Vida.

I really wish a reporter would ask them when/if they ever intend on going back to work. Also, how are they paying their mortgage, food, living expenses, etc with no job?
