2009.04.07 Baez Under Investigation Again By Florida Bar

  • #41
ok, bunny--i saunter away with tail between legs :bang:

lol...no need to do that! I just think with DC's credibility (or lack thereof!), the complaint won't go anywhere without some corroboration.

I'm curious who reported it? Maybe LE? Maybe DC after perhaps he was complained about for disclosing confidential information?

I hope we get a doc dump with the phone records for that day soon! It seems to me they are holding them back because they are part of an ongoing investigation?

Thank you kindly, Friend. Wow! This could be serious if it could be proven. I wonder if the info DC told investigators pertains to this or if there is more to come. IIRC the Judge ruled that one interview by DC could not be released? Hmmmmm!

You're right. In the one interview, they went off record for a bit, then came back on, right when they were discussing who told DC this. Then, Judge Strickland did rule that the one interview would not be released.

hmmm.

Now they are saying that DC disclosed defense "secrets" to Investigators during questioning. This sounds like it may be aside from the info about JB telling DC not to call LE if remains were found...or that is my guess ?

Question for the legal eagles. If DC did tell LE confidential stuff that he overheard or was told while working for JB can the info be used in court?

I'm thinking that this would be an issue between JB and DC not JB and LE. Correct?

ok maybe i've fallen off the boat here, but wouldn't losing baez be a bad thing?
she might end up w/ a real attorney.
it's hard enough to see this woman being pandered to by an imbecile but to look on as she's defended by a credible, intelligent human being is just more than i can stomach.

sorry i'm not feeling very justicey right now (sooooo not a word!)

I think this is suit re: Baez

...Diaz, 31, says he did not kill or harm 2-year-old Noeris Vazquez, granddaughter of legendary Puerto Rican prizefighter Wilfredo Vazquez.
.

Diaz says he lost his freedom because of Baez's trial performance, strategy and failure to disclose evidence to prosecutors, a tactical decision that prevented jurors from viewing a defense video.

The video, created by a biomechanical expert, would have shown the jury how the toddler's skull fracture could have been an accident, according to new court filings.
.

In documents filed this week seeking a new trial and other post-conviction relief, Diaz said, " ... Mr. Baez wanted to surprise the prosecution, and the surprise blew up in the defense's face."

You have a point, maybe he shouldn't get in any trouble...just yet.

Double-edged sword.

I'd prefer a more competent lawyer just to reduce likelihood of anything being turned over on appeal.

I suppose ol Jose would actually sell his soul to the devil...who on earth would tell anyone not to report the remains of a child. Whatever can happen to him because of this, I hope it's bad and I hope it happens. What in the world could KC actually have that makes some people bend over backwards for her? Why are there people who coddle and protect her? What in the world could it possibly be?

The thing is, JB is just the front-man, he actually has LKB and TM amongst others .... he is just the spokesperson. He *may* be being used both to push the SA's buttons as well as lower the bar (pun intended) so the SA gets over-confident and let their guard down, to sucker punch them.

While I had thought it was good to keep JB, given his team I'd rather have a new effective attorney so that SA gets their game face on and kicks it up a few notches, rather than get lulled by lameness (with a secret sucker punch).

:blowkiss:Thank you for this info - I hadn't heard much about it, but this is very interesting!! Is JB such an idiot that he would make the same mistakes in KC's trial??? What a :loser:

I disagree. This is just my opinion, but I think/hope it would take a lot more than a he-said/he-said incident to snatch someone's license away from them.

But if LE can link up cell phone pings, times, locations, etc between Dominic & Baez?? That's much more than just hearsay.

Shame shame Baez, if this is true, may you burn in hell for letting that poor babe continue to rot. :furious:

I swear with all the antics, sidebars, ex parte requests, accusations, and investigations into counsel.........I won't be at all shocked when popcorn and peanut vendors show up outside all the pre-trial hearings!!! Question is....who will be dressed in "clown face"?

Don't we want Jose to be the attorney? :waitasec:

If he is the worst attorney in the Orlando area, then losing him means her defense improves.

Although, it may also mean she stands a greater chance of getting a plea deal.

If she pled to 25 years so long as she gave a provable story as to what happened, I'd be happy.

If it is proven to be true or perhaps if it is true then I have to wonder who tipped JB to the woods. That would be either the As or his client directly. I just don't get the need by all of those around Casey that always think to protect her. How did she become the victim?

Innocent until proven guilty = yes

Helping someone cover up a crime = unacceptable

yes, if the client or the A's told JB about the baby being in the woods

well, well, well what does this make them guilty of ???:waitasec:

perhaps we have found out the reason for them wanting IMMUNITY ??

i think i hate everyone involved in this case that is from the dark side

YES, i do

Whether JB told DC or the A's told DC, this all proves no one else could have killed Caylee outside of their evil family.:(

I am starting to believe that there is way more to Casey and Jose being all cozy and google-eyed toward each other. I am starting to think he has known for a long time and that is why he had Casey in his office constantly, he was afraid she would confess and ruin his "BIG" case and publicity he was getting. I say send his Bum to jail if this is true.

Evil is as evil does. Birds of a feather........

hmm wonder where this information came from?? Just one accusation after another it seems. I thought he was not working for JB at that time. I think down and dirty is getting down and dirtier. Florida is beginning to look like some third world country.
