When did JB pay it? Was it his way to get AH off their back? Maybe to weaken the fraud case? Or have AH drop the charges?

The way it works at my bank, if the bank cashes a forged check, it's their fault and they must reimburse the account. They then go after the forger (KC), so JB would be paying the bank directly. Amy would have long since had her account credited for the amount stolen.

The defense is going to fight all the forensic evidence in the car... not a new thing...

They can fight EVERY PIECE OF EVIDENCE! What jury is going to believe LE and well respected scientists from the FBI, FDLE, and U. of Tenn. are ALL WRONG???

Should be interesting.

IMHO the Defense will methodically and patiently contest everything and anything via motions over months to both distance the case, so it fades as well as eliminate as much as they possibly can.

They will then take what's left and contest it and deal with it at trial. Nip,nip, snip -- the strategy is to remove some pieces to make the case weaker and address the rest through different strategies and theories. The spaghetti defense. Throw everything and anything out there.

I'd personally call it the hail Mary defense, in the hope that some technicalities will earn a reprieve for KC. At the end of the day, LWOP might be seen as a Defense victory, that KC did not get DP after all.
