I'm not AZ but the consequences are extremely harsh. Long term suspension or even disbarment. Right up there with misappropriating client funds hey Mr. Macaluso.

Yep, confidentiality is a big, big deal, with few exceptions and harsh consequences for violation of the rule.

I just found in the discovery a tip that Luke P called in to the crime tip line. His phone number was listed and it matches the number given on Ginette's blog, so this is the same person. He sent in a tip that Caylee had been involved in an illegal adoption involving a "Good Shepherd" Church there in Orlando. I tried to link to it and couldn't, for some reason, but it is definitely te same person. I wonder if he was the "intermediary" between Dominic/the Anthonys and Ginette.

I'll have to go read that thread - I don't remember that. Thanks for finding that! I did find (earlier today) this second "tip" given by Luke Phillips. It's interesting that the "illegal adoption" one was on July 21 and then the "Caylee is with 2 armed guards" one was on Aug. 5th

I think we can safely presume that a guy who had merely got his P I license four or five months before, whose home was in foreclosure at the time would not show up on the doorstep of a lawyer in a high profile case...offer to work with him, get NO RETAINER...work for free for a few months....then switch to work for the family...again get NO RETAINER and continue to work for free for over a year out of the goodness of his heart. He is hardly a Morgan or Mitnick or Nejame who enjoys such financial success they can afford to take on a client pro bono or work for two years for a possible pay off one day. I could be wrong. I do not live there, but I am going off the fact that the news reported he was in foreclosure when the case began and he is in foreclosure again.

All of these folks are too colorful for words. The only thing I know for sure is that it will need to be a mini series rather than just one made for TV movie. You just can't make this stuff up. As much as I have no regard for Mr. Hoover...he is the only one that told the police the truth...yeah..he did it because he planed to sell it all as memorbelia and make some money.

Even for free.....my question has always been if you have a situation where you are looking for a missing child and you have a client or daughter charged with her murder...why in the world would you entrust a job this important to any new P.I.? You wouldn't. You would look for an expert in that special field.

It does not make sense. It is just my opinion, but it does not make sense at all to me. I wouldn't let someone with four or five months experience paint my house, let alone look for a missing child and risk messing up the investigation. NO WAY!!! I am only speaking for myself. Clearly Cindy felt differently. Since she thinks so vastly differently than I do...I have no idea what her limits to ask of Dom would be. I am sure there were plenty of people who volunteered to help at no charge. Nothing wrong with that in my eyes.

Now on the other hand for such a newbie to the PI scene, he was able to get within feet of the body when the whole Ocso with all their experience couldn't. So hats off to him for that. I have no problem with him being down there in the woods. He's a private investigator and I would expect no less.

I don't think the A's had the money to hire a seasoned professional. I think that is probably the real reason Mn left as well. They didn't have the money to retain him. Some of us are not rich or have rich families and are stuck with what we have. Dc has done nothing wrong here, he is an innocent man caught up in a high profile case where anybody and everybody is vulnerable because they can't come up with any proof that Kc did this. IMO

There is not a chance that MN left because he wasn't being paid. You can tell a lot about why a lawyer has dropped a client by what he says or doesn't say. If he's not getting paid, he says nothing. If he feels forced to resign because of an ethical or moral issue, he makes a statement saying everything he possibly can to telegraph the nature of the issue to the people he wants to know about it (the judge? the other side? the public? law enforcement?) without actually breaching client confidentiality.

Here, MN made a lengthy statement about how he had to resign because GA and CA wouldn't follow his advice. He added that he had only 2 requirements to represent them and implied both were violated: (1) being able to search for a dead Caylee, and (2) not assisting in Casey's defense. IMHO that means that MN gave CA and GA some advice about searching for a dead Caylee, and they refused to follow that advice because they felt it would hurt Casey's defense. He might as well have spelled it out.

Perhaps Dc heard the Rk 911 calls. I find that Ng has been able to obtain 911 tapes the very same day. I wonder if anyone knows the rules on that. Are those public domain? Is it possible that Dc just went down there and purchased 911 tapes? Or is it possible that Rk or Rk's girlfriend Mc called it in to Dc tip line?

I think you are right that he would not take Kc's interests into account. But he did go to work for Tes and Tm appears to be against the defense or Kc. He said on Ng that it would be a cold day when he would turn over records to the defense, but now here he is turning over the records in the name of justice.

I understand that Lawyers have all the ethics rules laid out. The client may not be the boss when it comes to those carefully laid out ethics rules. Furthermore the client stands no chance of being the boss or customer when they have no money. IMO

Incidentally, I have high respect for Lawyers of State or Defense. He just did something here that is unethical in my world. I could never trust him after that. I would not hire him. No way. Moo
