Intermezzo, you've said a mouthful (with Bolded part). Just who advised them not to visit - Casey or her attorney?
Of course Casey's defense team does not want her parents to visit her. They do not want any more videos that show the rage Casey is capable of when she deals with her parents. They need to protect their client from herself. Obviously, they do not trust Casey to keep her mouth shut and not act out during a visit. I believe her attorneys are also facing the possibility of an outburst from Casey while she is in court.

That is it in a nutshell Azwriter, JB et.al. are terrified that KC will have another outburst and show her true colors. Did you notice in Fridays hearing how quickly JB responded to KC when she started to come unglued and how very close AL sat to her and how she even held KC's arm. I'll bet they'll have a hellava time keeping her in check during the trial.

Saying everyone picks apart Casey, when Casey was first locked up she said the other inmates were punks, she was picking them apart. Not to mention all of the lies KC told CA during the 31 days Caylee was missing, such as Caylee being at the beach, the theme parks, JAX, ZFG car crash, and on and on. :waitasec:

I guess that was all normal stuff. As CA stated from Day 32 .... all KC is guilty of is some mistruths and half truths but that does not make being a murderer. :waitasec:

This is CA doing what KC does, boiling down the whole thing to something that is acceptable in CA's mind, trivializing it and KC's guilt. Damage control.

I can understand denial...I can understand loving your dd and not being willing to see that she did something horrible to your granddaughter.

BUT what I don't get is the public appearances...I would be in my home quietly trying to heal...I wouldn't want to talk to anyone...leave me alone.

and BC talking about some other murder case where the judge blocked the videos so he thinks JS will block these...I hope someone can find the case where this happened...cause I think this is a spin...

ITA - the public appearances make them look superficial and self-absorbed, just like their daughter - and don't do anything to make any of them appear fit to have taken proper care of a child, physically, mentally or emotionally.

Every time they are out in public, they just make their daughter look worse, imo. And the fact GA doesn't want to believe he and CA could have produced a child this ugly makes us only see they have.

If the A's really loved Caylee so deeply why are they trying to protect their
lying daughter who not only did'nt report Caylee missing but drove around with her
little body in the trunk of her car. They said it themselves. They both smelled the body
and knew Casey was the one driving that car. CA washed Casey's clothes that were in
the car. Now I wonder why she felt it was so important to clean them up when the entire car smelled like a dead body in the dam car?
Now they go on media tours on money made from the death of Caylee to spin, spin for
the love of the one who is charged with the murder of their grandchild.
IMO they love Casey far more than they ever cared about Caylee.

It's not the jail's or the court system's problem that KC and the As are unwilling to excercise a little bit of self control in their behavior. And we certainly have ample evidence of their unwillingness to do so.

Yes, we do. I have a problem with blocking access to the visits. Why should all the other prisoners have their visits recorded, and she not? My friend has a brother in jail on drug charges, and he doesn't stand accused of murder. I'll bet he'd enjoy unrestricted or unmonitored access to his sister's visits also. But you know what? He can't have it because he's got to abide by the laws of the state and the facility. So he accepts it, my friend accepts it, and they conduct their visits accordingly, avoiding any sensitive topics that might affect his upcoming trial.

Basic personal accountability. Maybe if KC had an idea what that actually was, she wouldn't find herself in this sorry position.

I was one of the folks who initially cut the As a lot of slack for their strange behavior. I truly felt that their pain had warped their senses to the point where they could only func tion in survival mode. That may still be the case up to a point, but after a year-and-a-half, I am tired of hearing the moronic defense "she couldn't do it because we couldn't have raised a killer." Sure you could've. Do you think Mrs. Bundy ever thought herself capable of raising a serial killer? Of course not. But Mrs. Bundy was forced to acknowledge that her son was indeed a monster, even while she attended his trials and offered testimony to try to save his life. I still pity the As, but my empathy is fast running out.

Thanks for the video. So why didn't Meredith follow up CA's "I believe in Casey 100%" and GA's comments about Casey not being able to hurt anyone, then why didn't she follow up with "Then who do you suspect murdered Caylee?"

Or "Then why have you not cried out even once for the killer of your grandbaby to be found?"

Please Mods, I am not being snarky or making fun of .....if you've read my posts over the years, you'll see that's not my style.

But now that I see you've brought this up, SuziQ, I want to respond because it's been on my mind since I saw the interview.
Because of what must be the worst stress in the world this last year and a half for any Grandparent......has CA lost so much weight, just in her face, that the weight loss has totally distorted her features?

OR: was she trying really hard to keep her lips together in hopes of not blurting out something she shouldn't?

I'm being serious here...something was definitely off with CA's mouth and cheekbones.....I immediately thought of Barbara Walters mouth and cheekbones when I saw CA at the beginning of the interview.

I'm nowhere near a body language expert so I was just curious, other opinions......just wondered if it was stress/lack of eating or was she trying hard to hold her mouth closed for fear of saying something she shouldn't?

Here is this devastated, loving mother and grandmother dealing with the loss of her only grandchild who was actually more like her own child.. fighting for her actual daughters life. Can't eat, can't sleep, can't work.. but can sure find time to pamper herself with a complete make over. She thinks she's a friggin' celebrity or something. "my daughter is facing the death penalty, I think I'll get a face lift!" Can you just SEE Casey's reaction to the changes in her mother as she herself is rotting away in jail? I think it's a pretty safe bet she's feeling some outrage and anger not to mention a sense of betrayal when she sees her mothers new "look". She can't even bring Casey an ironed shirt for court!!

She sure doesn't look sad or sleep deprived.. she looks like a woman who is having the time of her life!! She's a joke.

George said something similar in one of the LE interviews. At that time, I think he said I don't WANT to believe I could bring someone into this world...blah,blah.
I agree with you. It is at the core of their denial.

I remember George saying that too. I doubt there is one parent in this world who wants to believe their child capable of murdering anyone much less their own child or anyone elses child. If George and Cindy listened to the evidence the Pros has against Casey they would have to come to the conclusion that yes, they did give birth to a child that is capable of murder. No surprise that they still refuse to believe the truth and they probably never will believe it.

I wonder if they believe that Casey is a liar and a thief? Are they making excuses for everything that she has ever done....still?

I believe that George knows the truth but just won't admit it. Cindy would have his head if he did. George said many things to LE when they interviewed him back when. I think he was hoping that Casey didn't do it but he wasn't saying that it wasn't possible. Maybe he thinks he is helping Cindy hold on to her sanity as long as he goes along with her. He was a cop...he knows what all of the evidence means.

I'm just at the beginning of this thread, didn't get to see the Anthony's appearance, but will watch it later. But I had to respond to this..............

George and Cindy Anthony don't know the meaning of the word "silence." They haven't been silent since July 15, 2008. It's been non-stop talking on their part.........insults to LE, the media, the public, accusation against innocent people and above all lying and scheming to protect their guilty daughter! Precisely! You remind me of KC's first jail phone call home where she remarks on seeing CA's cameo on TV and CA quite proudly comments she has done 4 or 5.

I think these VIP media cameos and $$$'s are the making of CA, from her viewpoint -- she obviously loves the spotlight and has moderated her message accordingly to keep the invites coming.

I honestly believe that years after KC is convicted and running the appeals CA will continue with her appearances as the media checks back in on the story.

Quite the celebrity with a full agenda of cruises, court hearings and, groupie/supporter entourage.

I thought that I could make it to the end of the interview until GA & CA started in with the "she's the best mother, couldn't hurt anyone, the investigators aren't doing the job that they should be" (all paraphrased) crap.

Immediately my orange juice became a screwdriver with the addition of a hefty dose of Grey Goose.

It was bad enough that they spoke in that wispy, whispering voice, which we all know is fake (the "real" GA & CA are the ones that we saw during Morgan's depo), but now I am absolutely convinced that all they came on t.v. was for spin and a free trip to NYC.

Clearly CA is reading the internet...she knew that most folks were ripping KC a brand new a$# for the crocodile tears on Friday.

Again, I ask, "WHY"??? They need to go sit down some where and stop with the traveling peanut gallery.

I found it interesting today that outside of the locals and avid case followers like us, the nation was not necessarily as exposed to Mr. Ashton's remarks about the three pieces of duct tape being over the baby's mouth.....until Brad went on and Cindy and George went on a morning show, increasing the audience by millions.

It rather reminded me of Mr. Morgan questioning Cindy. She was under the mistaken idea that she had somehow one upped him by discovering Ms. Gonzalez's name misspelled in haste in the Sawgrass visitor card. You'll recall , the infamous wink to Brad like the cat that got the canary. Then he blasted her out of the water and explained to her that it was mommy dearest who is the reason the civil suit proceeded because CINDY HAD TO HAVE HER MOMENT IN THE SUN ON TV, AND SHE MADE THE AUDIENCE BIGGER AND COMPOUNDED WHAT HER DAUGHTER HAD SAID.

What do you want to bet that the State or the Sentinal is going to continue to inform the judge that while they whine for privacy, and how over the top Mr. Ashton was, they are out there publishing it, over and over and over again in millions of homes this morning with their NATIONAL media events?

I trust the judge heard about this today and I am sure he is none too sympathetic to these hypocritical antics. THEY HURT THEIR DAUGHTER'S CASE WITH THESE MOMENTS IN THE SUN. It is so misguided it is actually painful to watch Brad participate, in my opinion. I am not a lawyer, but I'll be interested to see what the lawyers here opine. I am speaking strickly from my common sense........I am offended.

I liken it to the girls claiming they are sooooo sorry to Tiger's lovely children and wife for being home wreckers, all the while they are further harming them by keeping the story alive on national and international news. It is less than disingenuous, it is offensive to all good people.

I think the good taxpayers of the jury are going to throw the book at them for these tactics. Moo.
