2010.01.04 Baez and Baden on In Session

I am currently watching InSessions regarding Casey's case and it appears as though InSessions is discussing the biggest cases and trials for 2010. So far I have only seen snippets of previous interviews with Baez and Baden as well as snippets of interviews, court room, and media coverage.

I am in "Start Over" mode on my DVR so I am watching it from the beginning. If there is a "live" conversation with Baden and Baez, I will record it and upload it.

I still can't help but laugh every time I hear Baez say that he and the defense have chosen to try this in court and not in the court of public opinion, yet, they are continuously going on national tv to say it over and over again as if they are doing nothing to stir public opinion..

Thanks Patty G. for the link to the report (today's news). I gotta say that I think the defense sounds like they are going with "if someone gave KC a dead Caylee" defense...or not one at all. Tick tock. That February 1st deadline is looming Baez...the exculpatory one. Also, I find it hilarious that they talk all of the time to the media but yet...when quizzed about the bullcrud nanny...Baez is like, "We want our day in court." Why not just say what you want? Please. Worried about tape recording the dark lass in jail. Well, if she is, say, guilty, I would too.

The only way the defense can argue that the evidence found with the remains is not trustworthy is to either blame LE for shoddy collection/processing, blame the crime scene processors for shoddy work/processing or blame the guy that found the remains. Enter Roy K.

Dr. Henry Lee has been accused of exactly this, at least twice (that I am aware of).
-White House Counsel Vincent Fosters suicide as well as Lana Clarkson's shooting.

O/T but Lee cannot possibly be on the witness list-it will take the state about 30 seconds to destroy his credibility....I am still waiting to see if LA county DA sucessfully vetted his credentials for his doctorate...he claims he received it in 18 months back in the 70's.

We have already got a little glimpse of what LKB thinks is phony evidence ...she has stated that the air samples are junk science and have not been used yet in a trial in Florida. She has mentioned the FBI lab contaminated the duct tape evidence. Their argument for a COV becomes moot when they are national TV drawing attention to the case. I agree with all of you, they should respectfully answer no comment,every time a microphone is shoved in their face and they should decline all interviews until the case is over. Today he kept to his script, but many a time Baez has slipped up and let something very ill advised slip out. Remember early on how animated Ashton was when asking for the gag order because Baez had said on one of the talk shows that Casey has lied. That can not be in his client's best interest Mr. Ashton told the judge. Someone was interviewing him after the Kronk documents were filed and he literally admitted that he knew the ex wife's accounts would have a very slim chance indeed of ever being admitted in to evidence because they were too remote in time to be deemed relevant by the judge. Lord help me Jesus. You just can't make this stuff up! LOL!

It's awfully disingenuous for JB to claim he doesn't want KC's case to be tried in the media when he fought a gag order and never filed for her right to a speedy trial. Not to mention all the media opportunities he has taken advantage of to talk about the case on national TV and to enjoy Geraldo's yacht. Also, he's been doing PR spots for so long now that he is starting to contradict what he said in the beginning.

And how old is that pic of LBK up on the monitor? It looks like it was taken 25 years ago.

I personally don't think we will be seeing any more of H.Lee anyways..
He is not going on the stand to be made into an idiot, not pro bono anyways..
There is a "compelling" reason he has not been back to inspect the evidence and IMHO that is that the evidence "is what it is"....he can't dispute what the state has...

There is no evidence that he wont come back pro bono. As a matter of fact, i believe that he has to testify for the Sa under the same pro bono. After he inspected the car (which was a very bold move by the defense), I believe he came back and inspected the body.

After he "inspected" the car he never came back. I guess that was one powerful smell.

My bad, he did come back to Orlando when the remains were found and took pictures, from a distance, of Suburban Dr. He never came back on the day he looked at the car (after a lunch break) even though he and Baez said they would be returning.

BBM-Phony implies that the evidence is made-up. If evidence is unrelated, inadmissible, exculpatory, etc., then that's fine for her to thoroughly review and argue-But phony? Once again, the defense stoops to challenging the state's integrity.

I believe JB made two appearances on national TV after Kronk's depo where he discussed the ex wife's accounts, one was the Morning show with Matt and the other was JVM, if memory serves me correctly.

"Paranoid" is a word that comes to mind, but I don't think they are concerned that defense discussions are being recorded....I think it is "other" conversations they are paranoid are being recorded.....:dance:

Don't think we will see Dr. Lee if the money isn't there. He lives not far from me. Connecticut is an expensive state to live in, like NY. He gets huge fees for what he does so if someone comes up with the money, my guess is he will be there. But the fact that he did not come back to look at other evidence, I would say he won't be back. Plus didn't he say on NG that there was food in the bag, meat, cheese, etc. and that was false. How embarassing is that?

No one has bothered to look at the evidence SA has to date, so I would guess the experts can't put enough spin on the truth to fit the defense. JMO
