Or to make sure that she....I mean they.....I mean the "concerned citizen" covered all the bases?

You need to feed Cheffie. He looks so mad he may not be able to swallow.

I just noticed this on the court record, don't know if it's been mentioned:

01/15/2010 Counter Payment Receipt # CR-2010-03735 LYON, ANDREA D, Esquire (5.00)
01/15/2010 Transaction Assessment 5.00

Looks like Andrea bought her own copy of the letter! Wonder what she's gonna use that for? :banghead:

And does that mean she was in town last week? Maybe meeting with the SA?

Respecfully Quoted Muzikman

Maybe she bought her own copy to make it seem like this is important? Does that make it important that she did this? Really wondering and asking. TIA

There is "officially important" and then "public opinion important"-am I getting that picture right? Then, like I have read some say-like with O.J. there is reason to believe that no matter what, public opinion can have an effect on the outcome of a trial. Has it? Can it? Does it?

And, my understanding re: any jury, is they are asked if they have any prior knowledge of the case and are expected to say "no." This has made me confused about the practice of "tainting the jury pool." If what I understand re: prior knowledge is correct then all the tainting in the world means nothing. But I'm not sure I understand this right.

This is my first trip through the legal system. The rights of Casey are being very carefully treated(this has made me very angry too). I think I am understanding those who post that the judge wants to make sure Casey has all of her rights. She is up for the death penalty, and that is severe. Justice is blind and doesn't see Casey, it's just the same for everybody-in case there is an innocent person accused. Like, "the needs of the many do not out way the needs of the few."

George should come across this letter and its information, if we have. Here is a chance for him to help his daughter and whole family: find that author and follow those leads and prove his daughter's innocence. We have been told to believe that for various reasons LE failed to investigate much of the information Casey relayed to them. But, I have read the posts that explain all that goes on behind what information we are privy to with regards to LE. I have watched TrueTV, I watch cold case and forensic files-and what I really love is the dedication the officers have in seeking justice. Always in those programs, as the story unfolds-LE has and holds on to certain information they are allowed because it is part of the investigation. They are investigating.

I don't know if I think this was written by a "whoever" person, or someone connected to or directed by someone defending Casey. Reading to understand what you are sleuthing.

Thanks

BBM

She paid for it the same day as WFTV, and it looks like they were the only 2 to get it. WFTV's may not have been online yet, plus their copy is not scanned well, and she wanted to see what it had to say.

Odd, because there is a handwritten note (from the Clerk, I believe) that copies were sent to Baez and the SA 1/13/10.

That's what confuses me. It was noted that the SA and Defense were automatically sent a copy so why did AL make a point to purchase a copy? --- to make a point?

To send a public message that the Defense is taking this seriously and investigating it to add credence to the letter?

Desperation. Desperation. Desperation. Desperation.

Maybe she was buying an "official copy" for JB's ex employee to sell on E-Bay. Kind of like that "gently used" shirt.

Maybe Baez forgot to tell her he had a copy - or even more likely, didn't KNOW he had gotten a copy.

I'm guessing that they may have been next door at the SA's office on Friday the 15th, talking about a plea deal, and stopped by the Clerk's. Maybe Kathi told them there was something new they should see. heh

From what I am understanding, AL expected to only deal with the DP part of this case and have no involvement with the case it's self. IF the letter has nothing to do with mitigation, then she wouldn't need a copy of it or even know about it. Right?

That she requested a copy, when JB all ready had a copy does lead to many, many possibilities. IT could be as simple as JB's staff hasn't processed it yet and notified the atty's that it has been received. To AL finally realizing she needs to involve her self in the actual case.

I have thought about this letter long and hard for the past few days now. I have read the letter many times, read the posts here and talked with my husband about it. I have come to the conclusion that the author of this letter does have a point. Now, before anyone sends the men in white coats to my door with a straight jacket, please hear me out.

I truly believe that there is in fact a conspiracy in this case. Unfortunately for the author I do not belive that conspiracy is against Casey Anthony. I believe that the conspiracy is against Caylee, if it means that Casey Anthony is guilty of Caylee's murder. I sense that there are several people that do not want justice for Caylee and will do everything in their power to make sure that justice is never served. The only reason I can think of for anyone to not want a child to have justice is that those people are more concerned with the murderer and the murderer's life. Unfortunately Caylee has to rely on strangers to speak for her and demand justice.

Caylee was a small defenseless child who, in the end, more than likely feared the one person that she should have been able to trust completely. Casey Anthony has failed at her moral and legal obligations of keeping her child safe and away from harm. Casey Anthony did the unthinkable (IMO) when she murdered her own child. Now I understand that some people have a difficult time wraping their heads and thoughts around the fact that a mother could do something so cruel and evil, unfortunately it happens more than some people would care to admit. Casey Anthony had every reason to protect her child and yet she didn't. Casey Anthony had every reason to report her child missing (if she truly was missing or taken by someone else) and yet she didn't. Casey Anthony has proven to me that even her own flesh and blood (sweet, precious Caylee) was not as important as what Casey wanted for herself.

Evil knows no race, no sex. Evil can look sweet and innocent on the surface. Evil can be living right next door and appear to be the perfect neighbor and friend. When something like this happens it is easy to see just what the face of evil can look like. In this case evil looks like a petite brown haired young woman with a pleasant smile.

I feel strongly that the author of this letter at least reads here at WS so I am asking them to come forward, remove the cloak of anonymity and give us the "facts" that you have discovered that made you feel compelled to write the letter to Judge Strickland. Without any proof to back up your claims, any links to your "evidence", then this letter appears to me to be nothing more than another link in the conspiracy against Caylee Marie Anthony.

God bless you for your insight. No men in white coming from my house! Thanks for such a wonderful post!!

I have to agree with you TorisMom003, seems there are several people who one would think would be seeking justice for Caylee, but they seem more interested in perverting justice for CA.

I don't have time to research the scientific theories put forth in that letter, but can say from some of the non-scientific statements made, it seems to me the author has no problem stretching the truth to make a point.

I, too, admit to watching the Judge more than anyone else. I love the exasperated look on his face when the defense attorneys are giving their long-winded spiels. :)

When he starts rocking back and forth in his chair you know it's time to wind up the argument because he is running out of patience...

Please don't start pointing fingers at WS posters.
Time outs will follow if that happens.
Thanks.

ETA: I am not going to give warnings.

Lets take the letter apart and analyze to see if any of it is accurate at all.

Please stay away from naming names on here, including "hats" from other sites. Innocent people don't need to get in the middle of this and we don't know if some might also be fellow members on WS. We do NOT sleuth fellow members - do not go there!
reminder from earlier posts

The other night I couldn't sleep and stayed up till all hours flipping channels. I've never been interested in crime cases, CSI or the law, until this case (Caylee stole my heart). So I have been watching programs on ID channel, and things like Forensic Files, Murder by the Book, etc.

The other night was an episode about a woman who had been receiving typed letters from a stalker and was eventually murdered. They suspected her husband, who tried to blame his step-son and others. A hand written letter was received by the police department claiming he was a serial killer and that her husband had NOT killed this woman, it was him.

They brought in a guy named Dr. Robert A. Leonard who they introduced as one of the founders of Sha Na Na, remember that group from the 70's that performed as if they still lived in the 50's? As a young child I was in LOVE with those guys so this episode really intrigued me.

He now has a PhD in Linguistics and was asked to come in and analyze the letters, both the batch of typed stalker letters which preceeded her murder, and the handwritten letter claiming the husband didn't do it.

What he noticed was something they said was very rare in both sets of letters, and GEE I wish I could remember what it was called. Ironic rhetoric? Or something. I remember an example: he'd say "She wanted to break up with me so I broke her neck, and he did this in several places in both sets of letters. Just brilliant deduction work in his analysis. They eventually confiscated the husband's computers and lo and behold - he'd been writing both sets of letters and of course, was the killer.

I wish Dr. Leonard would be interested enough to come and analyze this.

Edited to add video I just found of the episode I watched the other night
