2010.04.13 Theories thread as a result of the search

I am still a fan of Misty being the perp-maybe she asked the person from TN for help putting Haleigh somewhere....so they drove her to that spot wrapped in the blankets and then..gulp.

I have often wondered if you believe the statement attributed to RJr (man in black) if he knew where he was when he had that memory...was he in the house in bed, or in a van with the rest of them.

Lots of red flags since day one.
Last year through TM and this time through Art Harris. Ron never mentions anything about Joe. Nothing...to NG, the media, or in his pleas for Haleigh. Yet now he says he told the 911 operator about Joe.



Here we are 14 months later with the finger pointing to Joe. But listen to Ron's interview back in Feb 2009 regarding who he thought took Haleigh. Which by the way, he says..if he knew she would not be missing. Anyway, notice his demeanor.

I think it's the gun. It apparently belongs to Joe but Ron hid it... Joe wanted it back but Ron would not give it him. Why would Joes gun be hiding out with Ron in the first place. I think the gun was involved in a crime perhaps with Joe so they hid the gun with Ron, so now Joe "owes" Ron a "favour" because Ron his the gun for him.

Misty is babysitting Heiligh - something happens - baby H is no longer alive - Ron calls upon "Joe" for his favour....which would be to help get rid of baby H.

Or, what does Joe hold over Ron's head to prevent him from going after him ??:waitasec:

I was thinking about the search that LE did right before Easter.
(wasn't it along the St John River also?)
Remember they were looking for a gun supposedly from another case?
What if there is another case? But it involves Ron&Co(the Croslins, maybe?).

Or could it simply be another gun from this case? Ron said LE had the 9.

I just get the feeling that we're dealing with multiple crimes.

I think that search before Easter had something to do with this case somehow. And with them moving along the St johns River I think that a boat fits somehere in this too. Someone may have been traveling by boat. Didn't LE look at a boat early in this case. Whose was it?? Ron's?? GMS??

I get the feeling too that there are multiple crimes. Has anyone ever checked records in those counties for unsolved murders before Haleigh went missing? How to go about that?

I don't think Ron is saying anything of the sort- just saying he brought up Joes name.
But it would be logical protocol to redact anything with peoples names for liability reason (not to mention with holding info for the investigation.)

IDK, but maybe, & then they argued, because he felt she was in on a set-up to get the gun stolen back,(?), & she because his stealing it in the 1st place caused such a problem. Misty, upset & extremely stoned, goes to sleep. While she's asleep, Tommy comes back. This would explain Misty having details, but not being sure. Her dad has said that when asleep, she's almost impossible to wake up. Tommy would know this. Was Jo with him? or did he come back even later? Misty may have taken what she knew of that night & built a story around it.

And I agree that there may be other crimes RC is involved in, but clues point very strongly at the cousins for the missing child.

The gun belongs to RON, not Joe. Joe stole it right after he came to visit. RC got it back and hid it so he couldn't steal it again.

but I still think RC,TN,GGS,MC,TC are the main perps in this case.

iT WASN'T jOES GUN. It was RC's gun, a "prized" posession. Its what ToC and JO were originally there to do the night thatMC was bbsitting, to steal the "prized" gun

I think that the names and addys were originally, but everything I have found in the last 24 hours makes it sound like we heard everything else. This is just my opinion of course. Google HaLeigh Cummings 911 call unedited. I pulled up one many transcripts and calls where names and addresses were redacted and one that says 911 call unedited, but that was on another forum so I was afraid to link it. (even though it wasn't a no-no site, I still wasn't sure) HTH!

Still nothing on any of them that sounded anything like "Joe". There are parts that you can hear Ron talking but can't understand what he is saying though.

& I don't care what kind of raging psyco you're dealing with, I can't imagine someone killing a child over a gun that wasn't even his. Something's not right with the Joe story.

I know! Even considering who we are talking about here, WHO would do that?

I am the first to admit, I still do not understand about this gun or all the stories behind it. Unless HaLeigh was killed with it by accident, I believe it may have been just a bunch of bluster that was convenient to throw in for their storyline.

JMO, but I'd be willing to bet that this case is going to end up being a whole lot simpler than we have imagined all these months. I think that that they are intentionally making it convoluted.... Poor HaLeigh..

I think the statement that Shoemaker made about Ron, Joe and the 911 tape is really getting blown out of proportion. If you go to the Shoemaker thread aNd watch the video you'll see that Shoemaker is telling the reporter of RCs thoughts on the past weeks revelations and he says that when he had spoke with ron about these things, that he felt that ron was not shocked at all by the outcome(of JO killing Haleigh) and then Shoemaker adds that as early as the night Haleigh went missing that JO was someone Ron had suspected and that he thought such a statement may have been caught on the 911 tape. NOT that Ron had said this staement into the phone to the dispatcher, but rather just as we heard the statement IN THE BACKGROUND of him blaming Misty&calling her a b##ch.
It seems to now have been blown into that Ron STATED this as fact to the dispatcher and that has then led to that Ron is saying that LE has redacted the 911 tapes, none of those last 2 statements were even implyed by Ron or Shoemaker.
I will add that news4jax is reporting that is a possibility that LE did possibly redact some of the 911 tape before releasing it to the media, and I feel that is possible as for a couple of very real reasons.

No, the author of the article suggests the released call might have been edited since they could not find the reference made by Ron's attorney on the 911 tape.
