Is it terribly selfish of me that I wish they would have a presser, even if it is just to say that they haven't found anything yet, but are still looking?

After NG's coverage, last night, I was spinning in circles trying to figure out what was pure fiction and what MIGHT be truth.

As of right now, I refuse to believe anything that is not presented by the Sheriff's office.

At least put the rumors to rest...

Haleigh Cummings: Grandmother says she believes Misty Croslin told authorities something new
NBC, Today, WESH — posted by halboedeker on April, 14 2010 9:24 AM

Haleigh Cummings’ paternal grandmother told “Today” this morning that she believes Misty Croslin has told authorities something new in the case of the missing girl.

“I do believe that she [Croslin] told them something. I’m not sure what it is or how it can help,” grandmother Teresa Neves said. “I know they’ve spoken to her. I do not know if this new lead has anything to do with her.”

There you go - wait for LE. Every media outlet that has been broadcasting about these events of the past two days has a different take on what has transpired so far.

It does look like TN,GGS have been covering for him but the PI said he doesn't think Ron's involved so maybe they simply didn't believe him (seriously why would they?) & felt like they had to do it? ITA re: Tommy..I've suspected Joe all along & nothing has changed on that end.

The exact words were, "Not to the best of my knowledge." Which, as in this case so many times, is an equivocation and not a response which we can use to determine whether Ron is in fact involved.

Any news, links on the search continuing today?

Can I add that I'm about to puke ----

Saddle up posse, we got another day of hard riding to catch the bad guys.

MOO and stuff.

If a plea were to be offered to someone who LE thought had involvement & information, would the family have to agree to it? Could that be why they were all called in yesterday?

I dont think they would have to agree to it, per se, but i'm sure LE would like to let them know what they are doing. Maybe to see what their reaction would be...

Brown said there is more than one suspect, Misty was there, one of the suspects probably lives outside of Florida, he doesn't know if Ron was involved.
Brown was hired by Haleigh's mom, Crystal. He solved the case Monday, after 10 months of investigating. There are eyewitness testimonies.

Brown said, "To the best of his knowledge Ron isn't involved".

Perhaps Steve Brown, in the course of investigating on behalf of Crystal S, ingratiated himself with Tommy's lawyer, thereby gaining access to someone he suspected had info he needed in order to find Haleigh? That could explain the confusion as to the varied reports of his involvement in this case and exactly who he worked for/with.

Well, I dunno about you guys but I slept like carp last night... tossing and turning... worried. I can only imagine what HaLeigh's mother is feeling. :(

But Tuesday night around 11:30, after Overstreet spent the evening with family and friends, he talked with his attorney Shawn Sirgo outside his home for 20 minutes, then the two left in his attorney's car.

They arrived at the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in Nashville where Overstreet and his attorney were escorted inside. Less than 45 minutes later, Overstreet was on his way home.

No way....no way! If this tip is so credible, why aren't they interested in detaining this guy for at least 24 hours? He was inside the station for less than 45 minutes. My gosh, if he had been brought in for unpaid parking tickets, I think he would have been there longer!

He had his lawyer with him. Probably did not say much and the lawyer ended the interview. There would be no reason to hold him since they could not talk to him without his lawyer.

IIRC.. He stated to his knowledge Ron C is not involved..
I took that to mean at this time he doesn't know IF Ron C is involved.. I say Ron C is involved... JMO

Brown stated "he solved the case and to the best of his knowledge Ron is not involved" which B]strongly suggests [/B]Ron wasn't directly involved. There is no proof Ronald left work Monday evening and Brown said the crime occurred in the home during the evening, not during the day, because Misty foolishly allowed people she knew into his home when his children were there. There was "bad blood" between Ron and Misty's brothers and cousin and unfortunately they crossed the line when Ron was at werk and murdered his beautiful, innocent child.
