2010.04.18 When will charges be filed/Impending arrests(s) *MERGED*

I think we all were so hopeful when LE began the extensive search at the boat ramp and prayed that they had gotten the break they needed.

But now that I have had time to reflect on it I think they are just further along in their investigation than they have been in the past 14 months but do not have the evidence needed to bring anyone to justice.

Whatever they learned a few weeks before the search was enough to declare that Haleigh is no longer a missing case but a homicide case.

Hardy said they were looking at several POIs at the time and I assumed he meant they thought several were involved and would be arrested. Now I am not sure that is what he meant. Maybe they are looking a several but still do not have a particular suspect or suspects in mind or have narrowed it down to the one or ones involved.

I assumed when he said several he was telling the public they thought several were involved. I no longer believe that and think they are just looking a several persons of interest trying to determine who they really think was involved.

Imo, LE knows they need much more than the words of Tommy Croslin to ever bring a suspect(s) to trial and I am not sure they have anything other than what he has told them.

So now I am not sure when an arrest(s) is going to happen.

She also said that Tommy's lawyer said those arrests would not include Misty or Tommy. I really have no idea what to make of that, except that Marlaina Schiavo sometimes gets facts wrong and/or mixed up.

I have no idea what kind of story they could have told that would make them both innocent in whatever happened that night.

I hope that arrests are in the near future.

Nope, I was hoping NG would cover Haleigh tonight, and shed a bit of light on that particular comment.

She said Tommy's lawyer says he(Tommy) knows everything about that night and that he expects several arrests to come, and does not expect Misty or Tommy to be among them.

Important to note they never showed Werter (sp?) actually saying any of this, only Marlaina's description of what he supposedly said.

I've heard MS give many inaccurate statements. I'll bet we could go back over the last two to three weeks of her reports and find many errors.

I didn't vote in the poll because I don't think they are desperate to make an arrest, as most of the people are well accounted for. I do think they want to make sure all legalities are taken care before making any arrests or announcements. Also, they're awaiting forensic test results. It'll be in due time. I wish the real culprit/culprits would speak up.

I don't think there'll be any arrests unless someone tells that Misty killed Haleigh and they only helped afterwards. I think Tommy and Misty are so afraid to stay in jail a long time and he's so chicken of general pop. that he'd say anything.

I think LE is in no hurry to declare any formal charges or formally arrest anyone. I think they know basically what happened and who was responsible as of the time they informed the family that it was a homicide case. I think they know exactly who did what and feel that they do have enough to bring at least some charges. But they are in no rush to do so as all of the parties involved are currently already in jail. Arresting them starts the clock running on trial and subjects LE to all sorts of discovery rules. Since the suspects are going nowhere anytime soon, they will seek to delay that moment as long as they can in oder to build an ironclad case, and see what other evidence can pop. Remember the one huge mistake that LE made in the Casey Anthony case was the early arrest on agravated child abuse, which started the clock ticking on the murder charges. In this case LE is seeking to avoid this timer for as long as they can.

I voted "none of the above" because I believe there is much more here than meets the eye. I do not believe it would be in the best interests of many people to have the truth come out.

I hope I'm wrong. I hope the GUILTY parties get hung, but I have little faith.

It may be tacky to quote one's own post, but. . .Now, I'll make another little prediction if I may. I doubt this case will be solved at all, BUT, on the off chance it is, you can bet your bippy Misty, Tommy, and/or Joe will swing for it, guilty or not.

I think if the LE were so focused on Joe, he would be the one in jail, not Ron, Misty and Tommy. I think the LE have all their main suspects in lockup.

Some days I have a little bit of hope that an arrest will be made and others I have none. Today is a day with none; I do not feel an arrest will ever be made. Of course, I hope I am wrong.

AGAIN, is anyone listening to what you, we are saying? WHY won't another agency take over this "investigation?" Something is so wrong down there it makes me sick..truly.

If rumor is true and JO dumped his clothes on the way back to Tn and LE has the clothes, I have to conclude no evidence of Haleigh was found on them or he would have been arrested.

If he took her from the trailer and the FBI thoroughly examined the MH, then his DNA or something of him would be in the trailer.

It appears the LE are not sure where the crime occured. None of us can form a good theory w/o a crime scene. All we have is speculation.
