Where is the information/proof that Ron told Misty not to talk to Donna? And what is wrong with that anyway? Actually, where are all these facts located so I can look them up? And are we calling Sykes a liar as to her assessment of Misty's state?

I'm saying she is not telling the truth regarding much of anything. IMO.

Well, I'm not Debs, but I don't think she is telling the truth because her stories keep changing. Truth does not change or need to be added to...it just is what it is.

Although Levi has been a member here for a long time, he is still considered to a be public figure in this case. Therefore, we can question his statements. As long as we never ever attack him as a person. Levi wants to find Haleigh just like the rest of us.

Carry on with the discussion. I know there are a lot of issues on both sides here, so keep it constructive. This is the best time to make sure posts do not contain the word "YOU" in them. :wink:

I can and have formed an opinion. I stated it as such. But the short answer is that she contradicts herself, the evidence such as we know it, and the testimony (such as it is) of other people.

She offers no anger toward Misty after hearing Misty's grandmother state Misty laid under bed covers while she listened to Haleigh being raped and killed. She simply says "they're gonna have to prove it to me."

Ok.

ALSO, let's not get into a huge debate on who is telling the truth and who is not. Keep with WHAT and not WHO because there is no way to verify anyone's "truth" in this case and it will just turn into beating the issue into the ground.

The problem is-Donna was put into place to try to get information out of Misty about what happened to Haleigh, TM told us that much...So if her purpose was to get information out of Misty about Haleigh-why would Haleigh's father warn Misty about Donna. If he was trying to get to the truth about what happened to his daughter, what would be the reason for him warning Misty about that? There's nothing wrong with that?....Wow.

Only LE knows for certain what her account of the night actually is and whether or not her story has changed. The media has been known to give false reports and muddle statements. I hope if her story has changed that Law Enforcement goes ahead and questions her original statements. Anything to uncover the truth.

You're right, it was a year after the fact BUT Haleigh still had not been found. And not only was he out selling drugs...He was selling drugs with the "KEY" to this entire investigation...Misty.

GGM has been interviewed on camera. She herself contradicts her statements. We, the viewing public, then, get to witness a lie....and call it such.

I know that it's illegal to sell drugs but in this case, it's not the same difference, considering the woman that Ron got caught with it, is the "key" to an on-going investigation concerning his missing/now presumed dead daughter. IMO, that's not the same.

I just watched the interview with Ron and Misty with Greta again posted on Levi's page, at the top of this thread.

This time I only watched Ron's face;that was pretty telling for me. Why is Ron so worried about what the details of what Misty has to say? He is, you can see it all through the interview.

Misty looks like she could be his child in this video and is afraid of saying the wrong thing. Constantly looks to her left, apparently this reflects deception.

I'm getting off the fence..Ron is involved.

I don't know why- I'm still not convinced that Ron was involved.. but out of everything I've heard/read and watched, this is the one interview that makes me question if everything I've believed has been wrong....

If he didn't, it sure wasn't very bright of him to take it up afterward, knowing that everybody was staring at them and the phones might be bugged and all that.

Well, Levi, I admire you for sticking to your beliefs and for trying to get to the bottom of this, and I know many here agree completely with what you write. I agree with a lot of it myself. The only thing that bothers me is this: IF you want to be respected and taken seriously as a journalist, it might be better not to resort to calling people names in your articles, i.e. "idiotic dirtbag." That's just my take on it. While most of us can agree that Ron is indeed a "piece of work" and his words and actions do not reflect those of an innocent man... it's still not a good idea to put that in print, and expect people to take you seriously. No offense, it's JMO, and I say it with all due respect.

The good news, not only have everyone of them spoken to LE to tell their story, they have also been video'd in news reports giving statements, recorded in jailhouse tapes, and spoken to way too many people that have used their information for various purposes. LE has lots of fodder to draw comparisons from.

Everytime they step up to talk, something new comes from it - i.e GGMa Sykes now says the kids put on shirts while she was there - we didn't hear of this before. This opens some doors, what did the shirts look like, did LE find those shirts, if not where are they and so on. Not sure why GGMa Sykes had to tell us she always did the kids laundry and Misty did everything else, but it is interesting to study on indeed. So you see, indeed GGMa Sykes story in public has changed, had additions made to it. Some would think that means she is untruthful though.

These are the facts....absolutely.

It is not just that they got married so quickly. But every article and at least one interview in his own words, Ron says they released balloons for Haleigh.

Ron's balloon said "Misty and Daddy got married, just like you wanted, we love you."


That is when I stopped watching the coverage until recently. I personally have NEVER released a balloon with a message for someone I know is alive. IMO, that said it all.
