2010.04.23 Baez Files Notice of Unavailability

I'd really like to see a copy of the "notice of unavailability" to know just which days are involved. I have a feeling that the Civil Case trial just isn't going to happen this June anyway.

This is for another trial. He is listed as a witness for the Plaintiff. He would not be on Morgan's witness list. jmo

You are right....good catch. I think the Pre-Trial Conference is next month so I'm not sure it would be the same trial. But it will be interesting if it is. Thanks

Actually once this case went to a death penalty case he could no longer be the lead attorney. That poisition had to go to a death qualified attorney.

According to our own Richard Hornsby, Mr. Baez is VERY busy and charging outrageous prices that are far beyond what representation in those cases would normally cost. Me thinks he thinks he is a superstar now...

Well he is a superstar if you use the National Enquirer definition, not otherwise..:innocent:

I agree with most of this, but that man doesn't deserve ANY Calgon moments as far as I'm concerned. The thought of him lying on some beach somewhere and sipping a drink makes me SO MAD. He created this mess, he needs to deal with it. He made his bed, he needs to lie in it. KWIM?

If anyone deserves many Calgon moments, it's JS, not Baez. Besides, where he is getting money to go on an 11 day vacation? I thought the money had all run out?

The only vacation Baez deserves is behind bars in the same cell as his client, IMO.

Do we know he is actually taking a vacation? Maybe he has a Bar he has to make an appearance at to answer a few questions, and I don't mean the kind where they will put an umbrella in his favorite adult beverage.

One can always hope a fowl, or is that foul, or two has come home to roost.....:croc:

Rumor on a blog states Baez will be in court this friday, but filed a leave in june for 11 days. (hope this is true)

But, isn't the defense team supposed to meet with the new judge this Friday? I would personally think he would postpone a vacation to meet with the judge that is taking the place of the judge that HE asked the court to remove due to bias on what is probably the most publicized murder trial in a century. But, that's just me. :angel:
