2010.04.29 Motion to Seal Casey's Jail Logs. Why?

WHEREFORE, the Defendant prays this Court enter its Order directing the administration of the Orange County Jail to ensure the confidentiality of all records of whatever description including, but not limited to, sign-in logs regarding contact or visits from any persons with the Defendant herein.

Does this statement in the motion mean that Casey is seeking to keep her commissary orders confidential, in addition to asking to have her visitor logs kept confidential?

If the A's or other people wanted to talk to KC by that video system from which we have seen all those tapes showing KC's anger, wouldn't they have to sign in on some sort of a log for that type of contact?

It does not matter to me how she got that way, nature or nurture, she just is and Caylee suffered dreadfully because of it.

I realize that even though you did not quote me that this admonishment is directed at my post. I am sorry that you don't like my characterization about KC's pathology. I have indeed resorting to using an "inappropriate" word for her mental state as I am quite tired of people writing that she is simply "spoiled" and simply full of herself etcetera etcetera. How do they know? Do they know her personally? Are they mental health professionals (and even if they are, have they interviewed KC?)

I suspect that there are those people who just so totally enjoy hating KC they will marginalize and minimize her obvious aberrant mental state. I stand by my statement that there is no one in memory that is as "OUT THERE" (......okay?) as Casey Anthony.

But may I say I don't want to put her in with people that really do have a serious mental disorder that they have to live with their whole lives, and they don't kill people. I'm not saying she's not mentally screwed up, but that is no excuse for what she did, and I will be furious if they try to say she's innocent by reason of mental defect. Bulls***.

And you know what, she IS spoiled. Her parents let her live in a fantasy world her whole life where she could as she pleased with no consequences. These are NOT parents that tried everything to HELP their daughter, instead, they let her walk all over them and be their "princess". And when Caylee entered the picture, she wasn't their princess anymore, and Caylee died for that reason. Her parents have a LOT to do with how Caylee's murder came about and they STILL continue to let Casey be their princess despite what she did to Caylee. They have all but forgotten Caylee, moved on, and now it's all about Casey again, just the way she wanted it.

So no, it's not saying she's spoiled and that's it, it IS that's she spoiled and also DOES have some sort of mental problem that was NEVER addressed by her family. Put that all together, and that's STILL not a reason she should walk free. If anything, she needs some serious mental help and a stay in prison the rest of her life.

That being said, they go to the media for everything else, so why are they wanting to hide something now? If they're getting help for Casey, that can only make them look BETTER. I swear, this defense makes NO SENSE.

I don't think there is anything surprising in thinking that she will be examined by Psychologists, Psychiatrists. That is par for the course. Why would they want to hide that, it doesn't make sense. Will this information get hidden with all prisoners or just for Casey?

Yes, they would have to sign in just like everyone else does.
Remember, Baez filed a motion to get the Anthony's visits, not taped and get the previous ones destroyed. This motion was denied.

The defense seems is going to try to ask for everything Judge Strickland shot down,to be heard , again...and ruled on again. They want the jail records, including the visits sealed. That has been asked and answered now they are trying to word this motion very cleverly that it would be all encompassing. Trouble is...they are not that clever.
The prosecution couldn't give a hoot who visits, we could sit here and guess at list for God's sake! Why hasn't Mason or Lyon or Kenney-Baden told the newbie, Baez that the majority of their plan is quite predictable, and there is no reason to try to secrete the obvious?


I do hope the judge will shoot this down, but if he allows it, it matters very little from what I can tell. I am not a lawyer. The only reason I want it shot down, is that I don't think murdering her baby, and selling photos of her for hundreds of thousands of dollars should get her any special treatment.
I just keep hearing Andrea saying...if you don't like something, file a motion! It is hard to take the defense seriously, even now with Cheney.
The defense wants do overs. This is not nursery school and we are not on Hope Springs Drive Mr. Baez, you are playing with the big kids now.:furious:
PS: At the next hearing Mr. Baez ,please DO bring your file. I don't think this judge is going to stand for the I don't have it, but I can supply it to the court argument when he told you precisely what was to be heard!!

And not everyone's case is being broadcast to the public. This case has unique circumstances that justify unique measures.

Not everyone's case is being broadcast to the public because no one is asking for the info, if anyone asked, it would be broadcasted.

The players in this case created the interest, no unique circumstances. The laws that are good enough for everyone else are certainly good enough for the accused child killer.
