It's going to be interesting to see what Cindy blames next when Casey is found guilty of murdering Caylee.

She can't blame it on the Judge, she can't blame it on the COV.

We'll see an abrupt end to Cindy's smiling and giggling. ;)

I don't doubt that we will see an end to it. Unfortunately, KC's parents have selected to rule out any culpability on KC's account in favor of saving her rear end. That is their right...as far as I know. That is their choice. We don't have to like nor accept it...just acknowledge it. They have chosen to save one child in favor of their dead grandchild. I can't say I agree with it...b/c I do not. Not at all. KC is a user. Has been and will always be. She is a killer imo and a liar. Her parents have to deal with that for the rest of their lives. I don't envy them that. Assuming they actually know enough to care or have feelings. Their granddaughter should be paramount in their minds. Not a completely useless daughter from a home that gave KC every advantage. Gag.

AL's daughter is graduating on May 2nd so that's why she can't do it then. Judge Perry seems peeved about that.

this is giving me bad flashbacks.

the case i worked one of the prosecutors needed a day off so she could attend a wedding. grrrrrrrrrr

Yes we all noticed. Also GA and CA got squirmy about it, also when he mentioned if Casey is in fact "found guilty of murder"....

Yeah! How about that?! Like they're all living in la-la land. My heart swelled when he said, "If she is found guilty of capital murder..." because that seemed to be the first time it was said in the courtroom with such gravity by the judge. It was a serious wake-up call to the Family Anthony. I can't wait to hear JP's booming voice pronounce sentence.

There have been lots of comments in this thread about KC's lack of normal hair flipping and flirty responses to her defense team. Her demeanor today reminded me of the time years ago when my 2 sons were young. We took them to visit the auction barn where my father-in-law was an auctioneer. He warned them with a very serious look on his face (though he was really kidding around) not to move around or scratch their heads or anything like that so that they didn't accidentally purchase some cattle. He must have scared the boys pretty much because they sat there more still than I'd ever seen them. That's how KC seemed today. Afraid to move or make any sort of face. It was her "I don't want to buy cattle" face. LOL!

I was very impressed with JP today and it's wonderful to cut through all the cattle droppings and get down to business on this case. :gavel:

The body language and jury consultant that was in the courtroom and interviewed on tru-tv said Casey did not make eye contact with her parents which she felt was rather odd.

Good! May Casey keep ignoring her parents. It will make the jury hate her even more.

all in all i like the new judge.

now there will be a new motion to remove him and baez will say 'he's too mean' as the reason.

cindy makes me sick beyond words with telling casey she loves her.....besides the obvious, (you know, murdering her grandaughter?) casey threw her and the whole famly under the bus in her letters. what is it gonna take for the 3 walking zombies to get a clue about who casey really is?

I had to work today, but I DVR'd TruTV's coverage of the hearing. I also got through at least half of this thread

I am SO pleased with the Honorable Belvin Perry, Jr.
Budget Hearing next week, Motion Hearings the week after that and Status Review Hearings every 45 days. Too bad, so sad for AL in that her delay tactics are quashed!

Casey looked shocked, ticked off and ill. I agree that Casey's defense team has NOT talked to her about the possibility of being found guilty, so for her to hear that from his Honor must have felt like a slap in the face.

It doesn't bother me that George and Cindy support Casey, but Mark Hacking's parents could give them a few lessons on how to support your murderous offspring with dignity and grace while also not lying every time you open your mouth.

There's no excuse for the mountain of lies George and Cindy continue to tell.

Mark Hacking's parents also aren't financially sponging off the blood of their deceased victim nor did they ever.

While the legalities involved are fairly straightforward, it's always interesting to mentally profile the interaction of the players:

Casey seemed almost totally remote from those around her. Almost a catatonic state (overstated, I know), but sort of unusual imho.

The new defense lawyer also seemed somewhat removed from CA and JB - there physically, but very little interaction. Interesting. . .

Cindy, as I'm sure has been mentioned, mouthed "I love you," to Casey-- but I don't know whether cameras caught any return emotion, acknowledgement from Casey. As we know in the recent past, KC totally ignores them in court.

NO response from Casey, and I think Cindy just did it for the benefit of the cameras. Casey had her back to them during the hearing and as soon as she stood up she started to move towards the door and did not look their way- she never does, and Cindy knows that...

Pretty much the same schizzle I have seen in the last couple of court appearances. She has literally divorced herself from them...if body language is any indication.

ITA!!!! Well put. You are just better at laying out the info than me. Sincerely.

Cracked me up when JP told him to call JAC THIS AFTERNOON to make arrangements. First thing I thought when he was doing his interview with truTv, was 'you better hurry the heck up and get on that phone...STAT!' lol

Agree - how funny was that! You can call this afternoon - cracked me up!

Did anyone else besides me think Judge Perry already knew what everyone was going to talk about and what his answers were going to be before anything came up?
This is definitely a Judge who thinks in "the big picture. He had his thoughts completely organized before he walked in that courtroom and there were no unexpected questions or comments for him at all.

Ok I'm only on page 16, but wanted to ask: who else imagines Judge S watching this with us and giggling?

Is it just me?

LOL kbl!

But seriously, the defense's comment made me :waitasec:... WHAT demographic might be excluded by sequestration? Responsible folks with jobs and families and commitments? Seems that's the type the defense would WANT to X out. Anyone have some insight here?

Didn't Lyon(s) say in one of her papers that she didn't like the "blue-hair" set? So they are thinking if the jury is sequestered, no one with a responsible job, or even a job, or a family would stay on the jury?

Is that what this is about?

You know......if you could sue your PR team for "malpractice"........they'd have a case!

Be careful what you type out loud!

That will be George and Cindy's next bowling-for-dollars-binge, that is, if they can stay off the Love Boat and out of tat parlors and jewelry stores.
