A lawyer, IMO, should remain emotionally detached. It isn't HER life on the line. She has no personal connection to Casey. If she cried, darn right I'd find that to be nothing short of pure manipulation. As well as immature, unprofessional, unbecoming, and IMO - sleazy!

You and I both know she personally doesn't give a hoot about her murderess client !!

Dr. Glass has updated her blog with a post today about KC's appearance in court.

<snip>

In watching the proceedings Casey did not move. She sat there like a statue. She was emotionless. She barely moved. She reminded me of those people that you see in shopping malls who are human mannequins and are frozen into position, not moving for hours at a time.

But it didn’t work. If a jury sees her stoic and mannequin like the way she appeared today and she appears that way throughout the trial, the jury will definitely see her as the cold blooded calculating murderess the prosecution will paint her to be.

I am the oldest by 5 years. Used to do a lot of the "picking on", but about the time I turned 13 my "little" sister became bigger than me. Now I'm 5'2 and she's 5'9..I don't pick on her anymore. She does still occasionally drive me nuts.

That's funny stephaniestone218 I am also 5'2 and my youngest sister is 5'9. I'm the smallest out of a family of seven brothers and sisters, they used to think they were funny and tell people that they water me but I just haven't grown yet..

Yeah, I bet Casey is finally realizing her death could possibly be near...there was a trailer for the next Supernatural episode and it featured this song called Oh Death by Jen Titus. I imagine that's what she's hearing right now.

At least I'd love her to be hearing it...My name is Death and the end is here...

It's coming, Casey! And you can't stop it! I hope she's shaking in her cell tonight.

And I honestly thought Baez was going to go slump into a corner into a fetal position and cry for his mommy after that hearing, but he went to the media instead.

You both are cooked! Stick in a fork in ya, you're DONE!

I don't know, I think stoic-statue Casey worked better for me than palm-rubbing, shirt-tugging, smirky-smiling Casey.

Exactamundo, and you can bet Judge Perry knows that as well. So I don't think tears for her "angel" facing death row will fly.

I bet there just may be some tears flowing from the jury, though..when they see what became of little Caylee. JMO

I know I'm going to be a basket case, and I'm NOT a juror. God Bless them all...they're going to need all the strength they can get to get through those autopsy photos, and any demonstrations of how the tape was put on, how Caylee was put in the trunk, and so on...

No matter what Casey and her defense does, Caylee and her death will always be bigger and have more an impact in that court room.

It does list Sunday May 1, 2011 as a commencement date, but not Monday May 2nd. Maybe I am too harsh but I think AL could make a late night flight that Sunday to Orlando.

Did she just lie to the judge ?? I thought she said my daughter is graduating that day. She didn't say my daughter is graduating the day before..

Kinda makes me feel almost bad for CA and GA. Here they are still supporting her despite everything..yet she cant even acknowledge their presence.

Hello...thanks for your extraordinary effort today! I pop in to say...

It's nothing new. Same old, Same old. She's been crapping on them and they've been lapping it up for years...They like it. Cindy enjoys martyring herself, as does George. I also think they like feeling sorry for themselves, on one hand...and yet, at times, put on that "Leave it to Beaver" Family facade, on the other hand.

The memorial for Caylee is what turned my stomach...ugh...Cindy's partially the reason why I stopped following this case closely. She frustrates me too much. ;)

ALL IMO

Hi Amil! I am thinking of going too..Was that for the courthouse parking or did you have to park offsite?
I used the courthouse parking lot. There are side streets blocks away with free parking and closer spots with a 2 hour limit. Courthouse parking is convenient :)

to be serious for a minute......

i seriously doubt it will only take 4 or 5 weeks. at best that's a guess of how many witnesss they have right now. even if it doesnt change they arent factoring in how long the defense cross examinations will take. so id' sa it will take at least double that estimate.[/QUOTE)

I got the very distinct feeling from listening to Judge Perry if they say the trial will take six weeks, he will bustle them along and it WILL take six weeks. I think that's why he's asking them to make this commitment now. He will NOT allow them to drag it out ad nauseam.

At least IMO - he's going to run a very tight courtroom.

I can hear him now - move along Mr. Bay-ezz.

ITA and just b/c there are 250 witnesses listed doesn't mean they are calling them all. I bet they call 60% of these witnesses if that. JMO.

For me, today was like going to school for Court 101 class.
JBP provided an outline for what we can expect and what he expects over the coming months. I appreciate him.

I just had a chance to watch and I was impressed. The judge absolutely appears to be no nonsense. A lot was accomplished. And... I was even impressed by KC. Her shirt wasn't too tight and she didn't fidget one tenth as much as usual.

This judge is exactly what the defense needed. Until today the defense had been doing things exactly the way they wanted to...making their own rules and basically not doing anything. They blew all of that money and didn't even do any depos or anything else...amazing.

Baez and Cheney say that they are glad they have this judge, etc, etc, etc, when talking to In Session. They had to say that...they sure weren't going to admit that they messed up big time by getting rid of the other judge! I hope this judge doesn't put up with Baez or Lyons going on and on instead of getting right to the point. I just hate that.

Baez told In Session that he doesn't want the jury to take place in Orlando because people would stand out in front of George and Cindy's house yelling things and the media out be all over the place, etc. He is so full of it. Heck, if people wanted to harrass George and Cindy during the trial they could do it whether the trial was in Orlando or somewhere else. The media can hit the town where the trial could be moved to the same as it will do in Orlando.

I believe when he was talking about not sequestering the jury he said that they might watch TV or talk to people, etc. How often does that happen with any jury anywhere that is not sequestered?? You rarely hear of a juror breaking the rules. They take their job seriously. I can guarentee that if the jurors are brought in from another county they will be sequestered because of all of the traveling that would have to take place everyday if they weren't sequestered. I bet we end up bringing jurors in from a different county.

I wish this judge had moved the trial up...maybe Sept or Oct of this year. How long does it take to prepare for a darn trial! I Baez and Co had got off their butts in the beginning they wouldn't be so darn far behind. I've just never seen such a bunch of lazy attorneys...with money to burn in the beginning. Blood money and they just wasted it all. If Casey had a brain she would put all of that together...ask why they didn't do depos and other things they should have been doing. Just because her and Baez had the hots for each other doesn't mean that he is looking out for her best interest. She really is not to bright or she would have caught on by now. She's been a all the hearings. If she would talk to her parents they could clue her in.

Just feeling very thankful that this new judge is the way he is.

she's telling them the date her daughter gave them for graduation......in reality the daughter has flunked out and at party clubs every night ;)

I am not understanding this "orange" stuff...admittedly, I missed most of the hearing...

PS I will not watch the Kentucky Derby tomorrow. I have my own reasons.
