A lawyer, IMO, should remain emotionally detached. It isn't HER life on the line. She has no personal connection to Casey. If she cried, darn right I'd find that to be nothing short of pure manipulation. As well as immature, unprofessional, unbecoming, and IMO - sleazy!
Could someone please tell me who the lady is sitting next to CA?
Are a lot of college graduations held on a Monday? Every commencement ceremony I've attended in my lifetime has been on a Friday night or a Saturday.
I am the oldest by 5 years. Used to do a lot of the "picking on", but about the time I turned 13 my "little" sister became bigger than me. Now I'm 5'2 and she's 5'9..I don't pick on her anymore. She does still occasionally drive me nuts.
Dr. Glass has updated her blog with a post today about KC's appearance in court.
<snip>
In watching the proceedings Casey did not move. She sat there like a statue. She was emotionless. She barely moved. She reminded me of those people that you see in shopping malls who are human mannequins and are frozen into position, not moving for hours at a time.
But it didnt work. If a jury sees her stoic and mannequin like the way she appeared today and she appears that way throughout the trial, the jury will definitely see her as the cold blooded calculating murderess the prosecution will paint her to be.

Exactamundo, and you can bet Judge Perry knows that as well. So I don't think tears for her "angel" facing death row will fly.
I bet there just may be some tears flowing from the jury, though..when they see what became of little Caylee. JMO

Her daughter Samantha is a student and scheduled to graduate. THe date does correspond with that listed on the U of Michigan website.
It does list Sunday May 1, 2011 as a commencement date, but not Monday May 2nd. Maybe I am too harsh but I think AL could make a late night flight that Sunday to Orlando.
Kinda makes me feel almost bad for CA and GA. Here they are still supporting her despite everything..yet she cant even acknowledge their presence.
I used the courthouse parking lot. There are side streets blocks away with free parking and closer spots with a 2 hour limit. Courthouse parking is convenientHi Amil! I am thinking of going too..Was that for the courthouse parking or did you have to park offsite?
to be serious for a minute......
i seriously doubt it will only take 4 or 5 weeks. at best that's a guess of how many witnesss they have right now. even if it doesnt change they arent factoring in how long the defense cross examinations will take. so id' sa it will take at least double that estimate.[/QUOTE)
I got the very distinct feeling from listening to Judge Perry if they say the trial will take six weeks, he will bustle them along and it WILL take six weeks. I think that's why he's asking them to make this commitment now. He will NOT allow them to drag it out ad nauseam.
At least IMO - he's going to run a very tight courtroom.
I can hear him now - move along Mr. Bay-ezz.
ITA and just b/c there are 250 witnesses listed doesn't mean they are calling them all. I bet they call 60% of these witnesses if that. JMO.
Older sisters?
