I haven't read this entire thread but most of it, so excuse this post if this has already been said.

But I find i VERY ironic that in one interview with LE, KC's friend (I believe it was Amy) stated that KC would not have to be asked about the whereabouts of Caylee. She would offer details often of where she was at with the nanny. And even offered up that she was sad that she was not seeing much of Caylee but she was better off having fun going to disney and the beach and not dealing with all the drama (made up drama, of course) of the family.

Then later on in the jail letters to Cookie she states:
“I’ve had to forgive what happened to my Caylee, but I’m still angry. “She’s safe. She’s in God’s loving arms. In a lot of ways, I’m content by the fact that she will never have to have her heart broken or see the constant negativity that our society breeds, nor will she ever be abused or taken advantage of. The clock is ticking and the end of days is near. I can feel it.”

I believe she felt that Caylee was better off dead from the time she killed her and probably before. This made it OK in her mind to go off and live. She was lying to Amy about Caylee being off to the parks and the beach but there was some inkling of truth to it even then. She knew she was dead and she believed she was better off.

There's nothing quite like twisting religion so that you can justify your own actions. I can't visualize a bereft Mother saying those things about her dead child. She makes it sound like Caylee is having a grand time somewhere, instead of rotting in a swamp.

Oh. My. God. The Baez firm video with the vast array of liquors and the sparse little groupings of three lonely-looking books huddled together on an otherwise huge, empty shelf behind Jose is such a hoot!

Note to Jose: Send staff out to the local thrift store to purchase some books for bookcases. Lose liquor bottles and glasses from shelves in "professional" office. (What does he think it is - the "Mad Men" look in office decor? He's certainly no Don Draper!)

Is it normal for lawyers to have liquor in their offices? I've never had any legal issue, so I have never been in one before? I don't have a problem with it... because I'm sure I'd need a shot if I ever found myself in legal trouble, but I find it quite strange that there are just as many liquor bottles in Baez's offices than books?

I had always met my lawyer in their Firm's Conference Room...no liqueur..at least NONE visible...

My parents run a very successful business and one of the cardinal rules is NO Alcohol in the office...EVER..

It's painful watching him type on his cutting edge iPad during hearings I tell you. I just wish they'd buy the guy hunched 6 inches from his desk a pair of glasses. It was very distracting :floorlaugh:
