Okay. JB is saying he wants to go to this conference and get his experts together because he has some new information to show them. If you had something new wouldn't you have notified them when you received the info in the first place. Why wait until after their reports are due and you can't use them?

So if you read between the lines "some new information" pretty much sums up the fact that the information the experts have right now will not help KC's case and JB is hoping, hoping what new info he has just come up with will help change their minds. That is what I'm getting from what he said in court on Friday. jmo

Did he discover new trace evidence within his office from the inmates's ever present BACKPACK when she was out on bail, or new photos from a throw-away camera or some other hidden discovery :shocked2:that will CHANGE the post mortem reports????:waitasec:

Sticking out my neck here BUT I would not nor do I believe that MANY (ANY?) other practicing forensic pathologists/anthropologists/entomologists, oh HECK, ANY "ISTS" would modify cguru: a data report/opinion/document based on the musings of a defense atty.....Nope, not in the real world.

Didn't say something to the effect that the Dutch scientist wanted to observe their process? You know, work alongside them, give them some pointers, observe errors in their process. Oh yea, I can see the lab going along with that.

I just keep remembering the questions and remarks JB kept going on with to JP about do the rules apply to the state, being rules of if its not in a depo or report do the same rules apply and what would happen if the state were to forgo their depo, He took a lot of time asking all of this and SA seemed upset and confused by it as did I. I just wonder what JB is up to with all of that. For the life of me it makes no sense to ask and coment all of this unless he is up to something with these depos and reports. why on earth would he even think the state would forgo their depo??? Maybe someone else understands better than I do and can explain.:shakehead:

Are they even allowed to "observe" the testing and then render an expert opinion?

You're right Joypath..without an issuance of Visa from USCIS and DHS authorization the E team can not perform ANY work in the US, and iirc that includes pro bono...it doesn't matter if they get paid or not..it's a JOB that one would get paid doing.

They may already have a Visa and work authorization in place that we just are not privy too.

BBM: I thought he said new information and then changed it to additional information? Either way, here is my theory:

The new/additional information is the material that Dr. Spitz is going to testify to - according to the motion hearing - the mud in the skull, etc. If JB learned about this info recently, perhaps from Dr. Spitz's assistant, he may want to bring this up to both Kathy Reichs, Logan and Rodriguez to see if this might make them write a more favorable report for the defense. I don't think this info will change anything, but JB could be hoping for a miracle.
