I simply do not see how his information regarding Misty and Tommy in these drug charges will benefit the state in any way possible. And has anyone found a video with Tommy in it selling/trafficking/sitting in the car while it all goes down? I still haven't seen one.

Me either not one

Don't freak out yet! It said that Cummings would not be sentenced until after their trials snip~ Shoemaker said negotiations are not finished but part of the expected deal would mean Cummings would not be sentenced until after the Croslins are tried if those cases go to a jury.~

It really doesn't make sense though because why in the world would they need his testimony when they have Misty on tape? Tommy maybe?

Because R's plea negotiations for his drug and trafficking charges are likely in exchange for R's information re M's and ToC's involvement in H's death, not M's and ToC's drug charges.

He is putting a little different spin out there to each reporter.

Cummings' testimony would relate only to the drug-trafficking case, Shoemaker said, and would not involve his missing child, who authorities now presume is dead.

To me that could be saying the testimony that Ron is going to give would only help his drug case and would not help him in the missing child case.

Shoemaker said to another reporter.........

"Everyone in the world has seen the [undercover] videos," Shoemaker said. "It's kind of hard. It's a great case for the state."

So why in the world would they need Ron's testimony?

Why is the deal delayed for 2 weeks? Is he thinking charges will be brought soon about Haleigh?

Why did Shoemaker say all of this to the reporter.

The lawyer added that investigators told Cummings some time ago that, because Misty Croslin was comfortable living with him, she was more likely to talk about what had happened to Haleigh if they were not together.

"When this first happened, law enforcement always said that Misty feels comfortable about you so she's not going to talk," Shoemaker said, described what Cummings had told him. "They would say, Well, if you weren't married to her, then she would talk.

"There has always been kind of a 'get her out of her element and she may talk more,'" the lawyer added. "I guess getting her in jail is a way of getting her out of her comfort zone."

But Shoemaker added that police were not urging Cummings to divorce Croslin. They did divorce just months after getting married.

This is a lie as far as I am concerned, I heard Shoemaker say the exact opposite before. Need to find that link.

It is all nonsense and hard to believe a single word he says.

But hang on a sec. Isn't this just exactly the same as what he offered to do at Hope's hearing. And they never called on him to speak. Or what?

Perhaps LE doesn't feel that they are going to be able to have enough evidence to convict Tommy and Misty so they are just trying to make a solid case that will keep both of them behind bars for a long, long time. :(

Maybe RC is going to be the big benevolent witness and say the drug deal was all his fault--LOL a girl can dream. He never got the chance to be the savior he wanted to be at Hope's trial.

There was a second page on the article silly me...lol

Makes no sense! The DA doesn't need Ronald to testify! They have it on tape! :banghead:

Another instance of Ronald getting off easy....

Sadly, I have to agree with you. I think this is another "Ron squeezing through the fence" one more time. If the drug transactions are captured on videos, why would the prosecutors need to make a deal? The info said "possible trials" of Misty and Hank. I took this little hint as maybe related to future trials concerning Haleigh, but maybe its just wishful thinking.

Personally, I think he just wants to be sitting in their courtroom so that he can cast a figurative 'rat in the mailbox' glance in their direction.

I can say that if misty doesn't talk after this, forget it! She never will. I'm very much thinking that misty didn't harm haleigh but has knowledge of what happened so in her young mind I feel that misty thinks she doesn't have to talk because she didn't hurt her...... off to snail speed again

That big ole bus just had an oil change, tires rotated, all fluids checked, hoses replaced, filled with fuel etc. All ready for the trip.

If he takes the fall for the drugs for Misty, she may still hold out on info concerning Haleigh. Even if sentenced heavily for the drugs, they can and have been lowered later. This may insure her that he is not giving her up so she will continue to put all of the blame on Joe & Tommy for Haleigh... Drug charges alone are better than murder charges.

How can LE, and the court believe any of these people? Other than testimony, there may not be actual evidence that has been found to tie to anyone

Yes, he was going to be one of her character witnesses. I can't type that without laughing. Could this be the state's way of getting him to attend the trials/hearings of Misty and Tommy like he did at Hope's sentencing? Seems like he's playing into their hands. They may not call him for M & C, but just let him watch, then tell him, oops, sorry. No testimony, no bargain. Maybe?

The State has Misty dead to rights on the trafficking and other drug charges. The only thing Ronald could provide is witness testimony to the fact that yes, she was in fact selling drugs and set up these particular buys with the UC. But if the case is so sketchy on Misty (and Tommy) why did LE decide to bust them when they did, rather than allow them to continue, and build up more and more evidence?

Yeah, Ron. I hear a big "Thanks, but NO THANKS" in your future.

Doob...I never ever even considered that. Perhaps he'll plea to being the "kingpin" and say they were along for the ride, and hope that garners their silence? Think that's how it'll work?

OH boy oh boy

Gee I wonder why that is?

If Ronald testifies against Misty in the drug case does he think she won't give him up in the missing Haleigh case. Ohhhh now this is very interesting........

Ron may be gambling that Misty is not going to turn on him.

Playing devils advocate here- but maybe Ronald isn't worried about what Misty has on him because Misty doesn't have anything on him.? I mean, if Misty was covering for Ron- the last thing Ron would want to do is testify against her....

They had to bust them that day. The UC had just handed over a large quantity of pills to them. They couldn't let those pills hit the street. I think that is why the arrests happened when they did.

Then again, if Ron had decided to take the fall for the drugs for Misty then any doubt that Misty is protecting him is gone. That would pretty much nail it down that Ron is insuring that Misty remains loyal to him about his involvement in Haleigh's death. I just can't see Ron doing anything for Misty's or Hank's benefit. I think any deal that he makes is for his own butt.
