Cummings will not be sentenced until after Misty Croslin and Hank Croslin Jr. are tried.

Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy declared the case a homicide a year later after numerous searches and interviews.

No suspects have been named.

"As long as Misty's around [Ronald] she has a place to live and feel comfortable," Shoemaker said. "I guess getting her into jail is a way to get her out of her comfort zone."

Shoemaker said Cummings likely did not try to set up his ex-wife, since he also faces charges and prison time.

"It's my understanding that this is not about Ronald, this is about drugs," Shoemaker said.

Hank Croslin Jr. drug charges were continued to June 3 while the grand theft charge was set for trial on June 21.

James Werter, said he is "piggybacking" with the Misty's case, since the two require the same witnesses. He also said he sought a plea deal.

"The state, so far, has not agreed to negotiate," Werter said.

He added that Hank Croslin Jr. is not a malevolent person, and has cooperated with law enforcement since April 11, which lead to a three-day search of the St. Johns River at the Shell Harbour boat ramp in Satsuma.

No human remains of Haleigh were found in the search, however investigators did find items of interest that were sent away for analysis.

The Prosecution may agree to a plea agreement just to save state money and time. In this case the video evidence would make a trial seem foolish for anyone to endure. I can't wait to see a copy of the plea agreement. Keep in mind, this has nothing to do with the Haleigh case, and only makes them all convicted felons when Haleigh's case comes about. (And still incarcerated, and will be for quite a long time, and will probably have garnered more charges for misbehaving in jail.)

Really dumb question. Did Tommy ask for a continuance as well? I tried reading the outcome in the article's but I really didn't see one. Just all the talk about plea deals.

Tommy looked healthy and stable in those pics from yesterday. Perhaps looks deceive me but maybe letting go of the truth has done him a little good?

Can you provide a link for these court dates or a screen shot of the court dates? Thanks.

Not up yet on the court docs. I'm sure someone will post it on that thread as soon as they are posted.

Palatka Daily News online article reporting that Lindsy was in the courtroom yesterday during Tommy's hearing:

As Croslin walked through the courtroom, he mouthed “I love you” to his wife, who said she had not seen him since his arrest Jan. 20.

Lindsy Croslin, who was sitting with Croslin’s mother and father, felt the outcome of his case would be positive in that he will get less than the minimum.

“I’m just here to support my children’s father,” she said.

What the heck is up with that if she is divorcing him?

That is pretty strange, but she doesn't say husband.

I hope that little Ron Jr. is in safe hands and has a relatively good life.

That's not what Misty's attorney said as per today's news report.

"Any reasonable person could come to the conclusion that the cases are linked," Fields said

I'm trying to figure what Ron could possibly testify to with regards to Tommy Croslin's drug charge myself. Tommy has one count only, Ron wasn't present when the activity resulting in that count took place. Misty was with Tommy and the UC. What can Ron say about it that would not be hearsay ?

That is but one reason this plea deal does not make sense to me - Ron has no first hand knowledge of the deal that caught Tommy.

All I can think of is Ron's knowledge as a close relative - if Ron witnessed Tommy/Misty doing this sort of sale in the past, and/or if he witnessed how they obtain the drugs they then sold to the UC. JMO, I'm just speculating and wondering the same thing you are, raisincharlie.

IMO LE doesn't need info on the drug issues as much as they need info on how that ties into what happened to Haleigh. The only thing that makes sense to me is RC trying to place the culpability on someone other than himself as to how the drugs came to be in the home to begin with.

I think RC's lawyer wants us to KNOW that RC will be sentenced last. IMO that is a very important factor here. That's all I have to say LOL.

How come no one is making a plea deal for their testimony against Ron?

Serious question, I just haven't the time to think about that question anymore today, so I'm throwin' it out there...and I'll read what y'all think tomorrow... lol. see ya later!

Oh, don't let me throw y'all off-topic here though...:blushing:

We don't know that.........yet. It may be occurring as we speak.

Could Ron be an informant for LE and that is why his trial could be last? I am new here and hoping I did this right. Thanks
