I think the bomb shell left me shell shocked cause I am thinking this wasn't the bomb.

The way I heard it is he's supposed to testify to the truth at MC's trial and then he could get his reduced sentence. Drugs are the only thing she's been charged with. So I'm confused how it could have anything to do with Haleigh. :waitasec:

Anyone expecting Ron C to tell the truth about anything is what has me confused..JMO

NG says to atty "Sounds like you don't want to say more of the story on air because you know it's going to change" Hee Hee

Then JW responds:
JW: no, no, i didnt say that
JW: i want a pure interview of both of these

Wonder what JW means by - "pure interviews of both...?"

But he tells her enough for Gma to say to Misty---Tommy called and broke down--said Joe did it. Enough for her to go along with the flow of things.

Just saying that wouldn't be enough for their statements to be consistent when interviewed separately.

LE has that recorded call to refer back to........

Dr. Fessel - Do you mean about it being in a package? Or as she said the package it was found in or something else?

She was making up the whole story as an example, say the found a piece of rope 5 feet long then went to Tommy's house and found a package of rope with 5 feet missing according to the package.

We have never heard there was any rope found in the river and the story that rope was found in Tommy's trailer is suspect because the source said LE got permission from Lyndsy to search for it and at the time that search would have been Lyndsy did not own the trailer anymore and had moved out.

I think he is saying he wants Misty and Tommy to tell what happen instead of him revealing what he has been told.

And it does protect the integrity of their statements.

I really like Werter.

I can see where this is going:

JW: he (JO) went in there lookin for gun that they were gonna go borrow
an automatic weapon
JW: out there - poach at nite, shoot deer at nite w/headlites
JW: gun not there, M told him gun not there - thats what set him off

I think Joe came to steal the gun.

Art Harris said that the statement that Jo had admitted Haleigh died at the mobile home was from Ms. Nancy's sources. Wonder if she knows something we don't? One can wonder.
Anyway, if Jo has said anything I bet he has told that he helped dispose of the baby. (Sorry ya'll I just can't say her name and those words in the same sentence and she is a baby.) I hope this is a break in the case.
I will wait with bated breath on you all to figure it all out.

So glad you posted this. I found that this tidbit came from Nancy's sources quite interesting. Wish they would have explained a little more about this though.

I watched NG but didn't post during the show. I really want to follow this case through to some sort of closure for HaLeigh's family, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to follow the labyrinth of conflicting tales that amount to little more than a cruel game of "he said, she said". Please convince me, good peeps, that it is worthwhile to continue the struggle so that there is ultimately justice for HaLeigh.

Seems like that is what Tommy is saying happened. I really can't get a feel on Joe. We haven't seen enough of him to really know. One interview where he was prepped by his lawyer and had him do most of the talking is not sufficient for me to rule him in or out.

I did get the impression that Joe was a troubled youth and his lawyer had been helping him straighten out and was sorta acting like a mentor to him. I think he genuinely likes Joe and his family. Where was/is Joe's father?

And then he went into the bedroom and saw an already deceased Haleigh..Who did it?

I am trying so hard to figure out why someone would feel the best way to get a weapon from someone is to hurt a child? When JW states he was gonna borrow it no less. Why not say ..oh ok i'll check and see where it is? Grab the phone call Ron and say get your sorry butt over here cause JO is going off about the gun but it is Ron that calls repeatedly to Misty.

Missing gun, missing child, let me grab a beer and some smokes at the store an i'll help us iron this whole mess out? I mean I don't know. :twocents:

Yet, JW states, ...that they were going to borrow to poach, to shoot deer...

ETA: looks like wants to avoid felony murder charges

I'd have to say, this is the story I believe the least. Well, right behind someone sneaking into the mh and kidnapping Haleigh. I think Joe is the least likely to be involved. If he isn't involved, poor guy needs to do some serious thinking about family ties.

I kinda do too. Joe is blood related to the gypsy clan. They steal from the blind for goodness sakes. I don't think he is some innocent kid by a long shot. He had a lawyer for the last three years. I don't know about you guys but I've never even had one and Joe is only twenty! I have no idea if he harmed Haleigh or not but I don't think he is this little innocent pup either. JMO

BBM:
I agree. His family ties almost seem like a noose. The stories they must of told about him around the Christmas tree throughtout the years must be horriable? They seem to be terrified of him. ( I mean right after he hung the missing posters, of course)

I agree -- innocence and honesty were lost loooong ago on this family. IMO, though, Joe isn't involved in whatever happened to Haleigh. I think he was just the perfect fall guy. Shady past, no alibi that night and many, many family members willing to toss him under those wheels.
