Let me clarify, in my opinion, I'm not seeing that he was DIRECTLY involved. Haleigh wasn't taken care of at all. INDIRECTLY? That's another story.

Well stated..I agree fully Kimster..He made some terrible choices with child care,which resulted in losing his child..however was not involved in the crime itself..

Misty and Hank part 2

This tape seems old hank just said that Lyndsy was going to be gone for a week. strange, this must be before everything went down.


Does anyone know the date on this tape with Misty and Dad?

CBM. Im not sure, elle- but while Hank was talking to Misty, Lyndsy was visiting ToC. I dont think Lin went to see ToC after the LDT, did she?

Begs the question WHY was she calling and calling him?

I think it begs the question, do the phone records confirm that she called and called? How, if her phone was turned off like we've heard? Where did she call from and whether these phone pings are part of the evidence that LE said didn't fit what she told them about her whereabouts?

Nothing really about the case, Hank talking about how ashamed he is, doesn't like to go out the door. Misty said she wishes they were in there with her. talk about prison and Misty going to do boot camp instead of prison.Hank telling Misty she is on her own. They can't help her in life anymore.

I wanted the best for you, i really did. i should have put a stop to Rc, but I swallowed my pride cause i wanted to know where you was at all the time.

HankSR: I am going to see what she is doing. If I don't come back I love you. okay....Austin went outside and Lyndsy is mad she won't talk to you. I didn't want to talk to her i want to talk to Austin. Misty crying, I want to see Austin, I can't stand her! Hank SR; i love you Misty,

The way she's talking about people putting things in her head sure sounds like someone whose recollections are extremely hazy and unreliable due to substance use, not like someone who knows what she knows.

I just don't get it. I am feeling like she wishes she knew the truth but don't but like i said maybe I am being fooled. IDK

This would have had to be before 8:30, reports are that there was an argument at 8:30 and her phone went off until 3:15.

She turned on Lindsey pretty fast.

Hearing Misty flip like that makes me remember what Donna B was saying about her anger issues and Misty being full of rage. I thought at the time that that could have been due to the drug use, but now since she is in jail and still having rage moments...i don't know. maybe there is an issue there with her.

Hank is the most sympathetic character in this whole mess, imo. I believe him when he says this is going to kill him... the heart can only take so much. I imagine it hurts like the devil to completely understand you've raised a couple of selfish liars-- he kind of implicates Lisa for those attributes, doesn't he?

RC did say that she called but he didn't answer because he was pulling in the driveway and he placed himself home a couple of minutes before the 911 call at 3:27, so if Misty started calling at 3:15 I suppose he started pulling in the driveway about eight minutes before he was actually there... :waitasec:

Did anyone else catch this in the first tape when Misty said she should have just stayed in TN....she knew she should have stayed there and Hank said, I know I told you to....I would like to know when she means because this blows the whole " I was scared of Joe thing" right out of the water if she wanted to stay in TN with granny after Haleigh went missing.

I have to see if i can find out when these tapes were. Anyone know?

Also, what i found interesting in these tapes is Hank SR speaks to Misty in a totally different way than he speaks to Tommy. With Misty everything is sugar coated and he seems to believe her, doesn't seem to call her on anything except ending up with RC.

What a mess,,,, I am not sure what to believe or who to believe.. Sometime I think Misty does not know, maybe she was so high she has no idea. I really think a lot of her stories changed because of Ronald. (I do not think he had anything to do with Haleigh missing) I think there were drugs in the home. Ron had to do something with the drugs, that is the reason he would not talk on the phone. I do think Ron thought at first someone was getting back at him (story about the robbery of drug dealer) She changed her story about where Haleigh was sleeping ( Ron told her to) because they were not suppose to be in the master bed. I think the marriage was because of Misty's age to keep Ron out of jail. A lot of her inconsistent stories were to cover up something else that had nothing to do with Haleigh missing. I hope LE has not focused so much on Misty that they missed something. Maybe Tommy and Joe was at the house partying with Misty and she does not remember when they left so in her mind she has some doubts. Maybe Tommy has doubts about Misty and they both are blaming Joe to protect the other. I HAVE NO IDEA.

I wish Haleigh could be found. I think most of our questions would be answered.

Some of this sounds like Misty is pulling away from the Joe story because she's been told by LE that this is yet another story that doesn't quite click with the evidence. (Maybe she thought she could implicate Joe without implicating herself but it didn't work?)

I think Misty means that she should have stayed in TN because she wasn't under surveillance for drug trafficking when she was there and she'd be out of jail now if she'd stayed that way.
