After listening to all this new audio, Im not feeling very optimistic. Im starting to wonder if there will ever be justice... I also think LE jumped the gun on this and may have (unintentionally) seriously botched this case.

There a huge cloud of delusional thinking where Tommy and Misty are concerned-- they both envision themselves "out" soon. Hank gets it, he knows they are both doing time on the drug charges, and probably more time for their lies where Haleigh is concerned.

Some of this sounds like Misty is pulling away from the Joe story because she's been told by LE that this is yet another story that doesn't quite click with the evidence. (Maybe she thought she could implicate Joe without implicating herself but it didn't work?)

I think Misty means that she should have stayed in TN because she wasn't under surveillance for drug trafficking when she was there and she'd be out of jail now if she'd stayed that way.

I think these Misty tapes are before the tapes we heard from Tommy and Hank yesterday. Misty says nothing about going to the dock, nothing about seeing Tommy, nothing about fear of Joe. I think they were thrown in with the Tommy tapes to cause some confusion. JMO

It's very important to know chronologically when the tapes we listen to were made, IMO.

The tapes were available for pick-up on Thursday (per BNN site where the tapes are now listed). IMO BNN should be dating the stuff they put up for listening. However, BNN does have a caveat about how they are posting tapes without having really listened to them.

Fortunately for us, one of our dependable WS locals (Ger) picked the same set Friday AM bright & early. They are technically difficult to get on-line but we're told a team at WS is working on making this happen.

On the Scanner's Forum, Ger shared the labeling of the CD's she picked up as such:

H. Croslin Pitone calls 4/12-4/29/10 (this is on a CD)

SJSO Video visitation H. Croslin Jr. Mar 22 and Mar 25 (these are on DVD-R)
Mar 30 and Apr 1
Apr. 5 and Apr 8

SJSO Video visitation Misty Cummings Mar 25 and Mar 30
Apr 1 and Apr 6

Kimster & Grandmaj, I hope it's okay to leave this info from the Scanner thread here. IMO, it's important that sleuthers understand that the Misty & Tommy Jail-Visit Audios released in this week's batch were made long before the Tommy Phone Calls.

It's my understanding, per the labeling described above, that what we're hear in the Misty Jail Video-Audio Visits happened before Tommy & Misty's big "reveal" and visit to the water search.

Some are already figuring this out because of the presence of Lindsy & Austin during these visits...

Just a guess but I think the 2 tapes that we are hearing with MC/HC is the March 25th one - jail visits are 1 hr (from info before) and it was stated in part 1 that Lindsy leaves on Saturday (guessing to go to MA)...

There's no doubt in my mind Hank, Sr loves his daughter.....but maybe he's thinking if he lures her into some kind of confession, there's a hefty reward?

There are so many of your comments on these 2 pages I agree with that I did not know the one I should quote! This one I believe Misty is aware of in these Daddy conversations. I believe the only reason RC married her was to stay out of jail because of the media. Gosh, wonder how many others in that county and everywhere, have this going on but no media and bloggers to put it on the front page.
This *#!*% did it as far as I am concerned, even if many have repeatedly have tried to ignore the facts and put RC there. He loved Haleigh but did stupid things that drug addicts do, I still think he was clean before Haleigh went missing,and tried to kill the pain with drugs. Misty hurt that baby, and she knows it, thats why she won't talk. RC did not love Misty, have you ever seen a more reluctant groom!
The lifestyle of these people is not mine, but I have seen it, so I am not so outraged that I would try to convict a person because that is the way they were raised and it is all they know. Moo and all that.

One thing that stands out to me in one of the first tapes released is the fact that authorities are protecting Tommy's children, or trying to. I don't believe Joe is the one responsible for the death of Haleigh, although I'm not saying he isn't involved in some way.

To me this sounds like they have suspicions of someone who has perhaps not been named. This would make sense if there is intense fear, which I think there is on the part of those
involved. They are not afraid of Joe and he is expendable, but there is someone else, heavy into drugs who makes them very anxious and willing to do almost anything to stay away from, thus Tommy's story. Tommy could have had a knife held to his throat when walking by the van if there was another person there. Joe could have been there also, Misty knows everything. Just my opinion, but why are police guarding in some fashion Tommy's children?

The way I'm understanding this is LE told Tommy that are or that they will guard his children? When did Leonard Padilla finally state that he was not going to bail Ron out of jail? Because from the time Ron got arrested, Padilla was stating that he was working on bailing Ron out.

IMO, if they were afraid of Ron before he was arrested, Padilla could have kept them afraid with all his talk of bailing Ron out.

Certainly, there might be Misty tapes after the search that exist. I haven't heard of any released to public yet myself...

With regard to the homocide investigation, we get only what LE wants leaked, when they are ready to leak it IMO.

I think Ronald could be DIRECTLY involved IF he drugged his own child/directed Misty to, which I think is entirely possible because of Butterbeans very close haircut right after Haleigh went missing. Very hinky thing to do, IMO.

Very good observation. No trace in the hair of drugs. Hmmmm......

Hank: if you didn't see him there then don't say you saw him there.
Misty: they are the ones that's doing it though dad, I told them from Day 1 that I don't know nothing.

More talk about getting busted for the drugs and people being out to get them. Hank SR say's they dont care about RC they don't care about no-one. Hank crying again. He seems very depressed. He said he doesn't know what to do anymore.

19 minutes left. Hank wants Lyndsy to save minutes for Tommy. He wants to see him.

This tape seems old hank just said that Lyndsy was going to be gone for a week. strange, this must be before everything went down.

If I had to guess, it sounds like this tape was fairly recent since Lyndsey was not wanting to deal with Misty for the comments she made about Tommy.

Thanks! I heard that too, what Hank SR said about using the pills sometimes, he sounds like he does have certain ailments that a doc would prescribe pain meds for.

I think the tapes are before Lyndsy left for Mass, quite some time ago( WS time anyway....lol)

@Amster: That crossed my mind, too. He sounds completely drained- and you can see it in his eyes. Misty cries for herself. Tommy cries from himself. When Hank cries, he's crying for his children/ family. He's the ONLY one of the lot that appears to be genuinely panged , imo.

That's been my thoughts for the last couple months. I think LE is convinced Joe did it, and Tommy and Misty know he did it. From all the jail house tapes, it's obvious Tommy has been hounded by LE to implicate Joe. Tommy saying he knows what they want him to say and he's not going to send an innocent person to jail. Tommy saying LE doesn't want to hear anything about Ronald, and now, Misty is saying the same thing. I can't help but go back to the 911 call where Misty is so thankful when 911 asks to speak to Ron. She doesn't want (or can't) answer the hard questions, and she is glad the ball is back in Ron's court. I'm convinced she was forced to make that call, and is relieved when they no longer want to talk to her. And what does Ron do? He doesn't want to talk to them either, and he hangs up on them twice! Whatever happened that night, both Ron and Misty are responsible. If she turns on him, it's gonna implicate her too. It isn't that Misty doesn't remember what happened that night, it just best that she doesn't tell!

My heart is breaking for Mr. Croslin. I also wish he could know, not all people are judging him (for his children's doings), some are, but, not all.

It tore me to pieces where he said something like this "we Croslin's might be stupid, but we are no killers" - that was in a tape (somewhere on this site). This was the icing on the cake for me.


It seems like he knows, in his heart, they are both involved.

I think it begs the question, do the phone records confirm that she called and called? How, if her phone was turned off like we've heard? Where did she call from and whether these phone pings are part of the evidence that LE said didn't fit what she told them about her whereabouts?

This is the $64,000 question. I bet the pings don't match Misty being home. And then we have reports from AH that Misty's phone was off and RC tried to call 90+ times and even called Tommy to see where Misty was or if she was there. Now Misty was calling him all night and RC wouldn't answer? :waitasec: AH has stated that he has info to release on MC's phone records and I sure wish he would release what he has as it will prove, (KIND OF ) which of these two is being remotely truthful. JMO
