I don't care what ANYONE says...........I specifically remember rc's mom saying she picked up Haleigh at the bus stop............I was standing in our bedroom (no not naked) and watching the interview...........I know I know that the "transcript" is wrong..............everyone says........but I swear I heard her say SHE picked up Haleigh and it was repeated by the reporter and she said "yes mam".......my mouth dropped when I heard it!

I know you're hearing the same interview I went over and over.....she was talked over......she answered Yes to one question and the interviewer had already moved onto another.

I know I know I know I'd love to keep this one alive, but it's not what I heard, and I had to listen a million times.

PB: doesn't believe ToC has a clue as to what happened; only hearing from his sister

Stacy: DCS investigation clearance (of R) means nothing to me...touchy subject to me.

Stacy: w/e occurred happened at trailer (PB agrees).
Blanket missing doesn't prove that M left t trailer to go meet Ron; only proves they used t blanket after H dead to wrap up t body and transport her

well, I find it strange that he refers to his lap, the F word, & the phrase S.... my d word, all in the same exchange as he's speaking of Haleigh. I hope the psychologist on the show, follows up on this.
I've been bothered by this statement and some others for some time, it started for me after we had a basic profile of ronald through interviews on various media outlets and then all the info of Turner Syndrome. The fact that Turner Syndrome is a defect in the X sex chromosome and the complications that the missing X creates seems like it would be something that would cause someone like ronald great angst.

Why would Ron have great angst? XX are girls .....XY are boys

How do we know it was Ron's "X" and not Crystal's "X"?

or that it wasn't an error in cell division during the early stages of fetal developement?

IMO it was neither parent's "fault"

That sets off alarms in my head and just flat creeps me out.

sorry, I did not mean that he would feel that it was his fault, although I don't feel ronald thinks much of anything is his fault, jmo, I meant the complications of that disease may have freaked him out as someone with with Turners does not reach sexual maturity and I think this all was explained to both parents at some point, although I do NOT know that as fact. By no means did I mean to blame either parent for this genetic condition, as with any genetic condition generally it is something that just occurs and cannot be pinpointed to reason or caused by anything a parent "did"

I apologize I mis read. I get your point. and to speak the way he did while recalling the time he and Haleigh spent together is very creepy IMO

I'm not quite understanding either what exactly you mean?
Is it what gngr~snap stated above about placing a blame on what parent the trait or lack there of came from? If so, I too would say no one is to blame. Flukes of this nature happen to perfectly healthy, upstanding, non drug using individuals...
Or did you mean that you thought all of the disabilities/handicaps that are an effect from the Turner Syndrome would be of great angst for him to care for? If so, I understand that it does come with health issues but nothing that would constitute major care like in the case of CP.. But then again you may be speaking of it being of great angst to him in that it is a less than perfect child? and the men that I know personally that fall into that category are from all walks of life, but in my experience its usually been the wealthier category thats narcissism doesn't allow for imperfections in their offspring. ...
Wasn't sure exactly what you meant but was an interesting observation none the less of all the meanings above..

I remember in an early interview, (GMA), I think, Ronald made a plea for Haleigh, & said that he wanted his daughter back, (something to the effect of), safe & healthy. After rehearing that, it sent off a red flag, because Haleigh was a sick little girl, & it was like he was wishing for a fantasy. He knew that wasn't gonna happen, IMO, & it made me wonder, like you, how he really felt about the disease. My sis's daughter inherited a form of muscular dystrophy, from her dad's side. When she was a baby, & so sick, he had absolutely no tolerence for her. My sis had to put her to bed before he got home from work. Seriously, he couldn't stand the sight of her, so my sis & her family took care of her on our own. So, depending on the person, reactions to sick kids vary.

Agree. And what you have described, Dodie, does cross economic as well as educational levels. :twocents:

I suppose what I am saying, without trying to accuse ronald of a heinous crime that there is NO proof of, is that the suggestion that his daughter would not mature to be a "sexual" woman (ugh I'm making myself sick going on this train of thought) may have been something he was unwilling or unable to accept, and he may have had ideas of how to "correct" the problem. I am not trying to suggest he was inappropriate with HaLeigh, it's just the age difference between him and his girlfriends after Crystal leads me to believe he may have preferred girls who still looked childlike, imo Misty did not look much over 12. And it is moo that ronald may have thought the doctors were wrong and this problem could be corrected with early training, it could be what led him to such young girls for companions. His acceptance that his daughter is "gone" either missing or dead, and he doesn't seem to discern the two, gives me a feeling that he is okay with the fact. The recap he gives of the ride home and the language he uses has bothered me from the first time I heard it, it's not the foul language but the words he used, his sentence structure and the meaning I came away with after hearing it. again jmo and I'm not sure I won't change it.

It is my understanding that girls with Turner's syndrome can be treated with hormones to start puberty, develop normal outward signs of female sexuality and may have a sexual life and sometimes even have children with medical aid. Of course the diagnosis may be a shock to parents from all walks of life but imo she was not doomed to be asexual because of her diagnosis.

I didn't listen to the show but why is the title New show kicking off? Is there something different about the LP show?
