You'd be surprised at the quality of a cell phone picture - they are usually pretty clear until you begin to enlarge them. I would upload one from my phone here if I could figure out how...

Good to know, speaking from my own experience. My camera on my phone is awful!! No zoom, no flash! I don't know how to post the pictures on here, so I can't help, sorry

BTW, this is a good thing when people are abducted and the victim's cell phone is in play. That "off" phone can ping and show LE where to go to find someone. It's those dern batteries going dead that ends the cell trail.

Technologists are working on much better battery solutions - so hopefully if you or I ever get abducted, our phone will tell the story of our whereabouts for much longer than our phones can do so today.

I have four ways of uploading pics from my cell phone to my FB acct (yes, FOUR - sheesh!). ALL FOUR show "mobile upload" when I've uploaded a photo. I have three ways of updating my status from my phone and all three specify that I used Sprint Mobile or Mobile Web to do so. Only ONE of the ways that I can choose to upload photos allows me to put it in any album I want. BUT when I upload it, it shows on my wall that it was via mobile upload.

That said, a select few cameras allow you to take the memory card and insert it into certain phones and then upload the photo. I doubt she did it that way. MOO.

I specifically remember the photos from the science fair being uploaded to her FB at 1:23 PM (PST - Oregon time, which is my timezone as well, being I'm only 15ish minutes from where the Horman's live).

I can't help but think that her cell pinged on/near the island and TH told them she ran errands elsewhere (I'm talking around 185th and Hwy 26 area, where there are a lot of shops and places one would go if running errands). IMO, that'd be far enough away that I doubt a cell would ping as far up north as the island anyway.

Who said he is tech savvy? I have noticed this in all of the threads where Kaine is discussed, he works for Intel, true, but many of Intel's workers are not "tech savvy", most aren't! They employ civil engineers (among many other kinds of engineers), welders, mechanics, electricians, construction managers, lawyers, administrative people, account managers, liasions, sales people, scientists, pipe fitters, almost any job in any business setting, they are also employed by Intel. Many are "engineers" and few of those guys are "techy".

I'm thinking now, that it was probably a digital camera! A phone picture is usually not clear enough, not in my experience anyway!

My neighbor can tell across a room whether a pic was taken by a cell or camera. I was surprised, but yes, the phone pic is not that clear in resolution.

When I read this, I was immediately struck by two things: the wording and timing.

The wording is nearly identical to the WW article, which until the KGW article, was the only news outlet that was claiming to have actual sources for the cell phone ping issue.

The timing is that the KGW article was updated with this information AFTER WW got kicked off "the team" and printed several articles containing information that was fed to them by other reporters.

I suspect a little quid pro quo going on here. I think the source for WW may be the same source for KGW. That doesn't mean it's not true. In fact, it may even lend it more credence, depending on how you look at it. It's just something I'm keeping in mind when assigning weight to the statement.

I think this is an example of whoever leaked the article to WW making it absolutely clear that this was an INTENDED leak, and that the information was CORRECT....if WW hadn't been kicked out of the 'in club' today the info would not have had to be re-leaked.

But why though? Why would you jump the gun when time is on your side and you can continue to gather evidence? So far, the longer Terri has been free, the more LE has gathered. Shouldn't we prefer they keep gathering as opposed to hauling her in and making the case right now?



I think pings from the past will end up being part of the case. Time and time again, we see that people plan their crimes by visiting the "ultimate site" ahead of time to explore the possibilities and plan the details. I think the pings most likely include days prior to the 4th and include the 4th.

They are saying she lied about where she was.......So to me that means that wherever she told police she was that morning, it was nowhere near sauvie island. Somewhere where it would be practically impossible to pick up her pings in the SI area. JMO

So how far is SI from school and from the home? I'm not sure I've seen that posted.

Sauvie Island is close to where they live - and easy peasy access. Skyline school and Sheltered Nook Rd are in NW Portland, as is Sauvie.

By the way, the house for sale, is the neighbor to the Hormans; the same house where the grandmother lives who authorized an interview by her grandson who referenced the cool electric project on Science Fair day, that Kryon was supposedly headed to before he vanished. Details on that interview are in the IB Science Expo/ Electric project WS thread from many, many days ago.

I have driven Skyline, Germantown, Kaiser, Cornelius Pass too many times to count - including Sauvie...it's all one big beautiful area in NW Portland. And all very relatively close to downtown Portland as well - straight down southbound hwy30. See my post in the locals section last week or week before on how tied together all these areas are to each other.

I had this exact thought! I think these 2 outlets are working together - the follow-up article in the WW today re "press notes" / "reliable source"....I totes agree!

The WW was one of the news outlet that the family would not allow in the Press Conf today . So personality I am not sure how much weight to put on the WW's unnamed source statements if the family doesn't even want their coverage. Also I think KGW just got their info from the WW article.

I sure wish we had more named official's statements concerning this whole case.

I'm on the fence. As far as I'm concerned, having the family mad at a news source might mean that it is less accurate than the others... but it might also mean that it is more accurate than the others on something they don't want reported.

I haven't seen anything about exactly what he does for Intel, but I don't assume he's "tech savvy" just because he works for them. Many people assume I'm a pilot because I spent 22 years in the Air Force, but I was in the mental health field. So I don't assume Kaine is a computer engineer just because he works for Intel. He might not know the first thing about cell phone pings or the internet. Or he might know a lot.

Kaine's e-mail signature line is "Business Enterprise Architect". Here's the definition of that according to Wiki:

Did TH email the teacher in the morning? If so, was she trying to see if the teacher wondered why Kyron was not at school? If the teacher only mentioned the science fair project, and not Kyron's absence, then would it be possible that TH thought, okay,I can say Kyron is at school because the teacher didn't mention his absence?

Where was KH from 8 am until 2 pm, that day?????

If TH was "set up" and all the evidence came crashing down on her, she wouldn't know where Kyron is/was.

If TH knows where Kryon is....my guess would be he is deceased. I just don't believe TH would allow the search to go on for Kyron if she knew where he was living/staying. TH would share that info and end all this heartache.

About KH moving out, filing for divorce, and getting a RO:

Perhaps the stress of Kyron's disappearance resulted in a huge argument and both TH and KH just agreed to split up? KH beat TH to the court house and got the RO because he knew TH might be planning to get a RO.

A temporary RO can be filed/ordered for a divorcing parent, just to prevent fighting between two angry, divorcing parents in the presence of their children. (for sake of children's health and safety.
