I think so, but I think the prosecution was going to get a jail house call between JB & Lunceford, it could then become discovery and be released. The was JB jumped the gun before SAO even obtained the call makes me curious.

I bet she is going to claim that someone in prison admitted to her that they had killed Caylee, so it can't be Casey... Maybe Robin found the REAL nanny while in jail,,,, ya never know (<----sarcasm)

I don't think I remember Baez filing a motion so fast, especially since the SAO doesn't even have the evidence yet.

What's the chances of one person being a stooly in the Rilya Wilson case, the Baby Lollipops case AND Caylee's case...?

IMO, seems like a very sick way to seek your fame.

ETA: I should note that I am generally grateful for inmates who find and share information in cases, and I understand that a prisoner obviously comes in contact with people with criminal secrets, and may, conceivably, do this more than once... But these are three fairly high-profile cases, and makes me wonder if RL doesn't seek out "famous" child killers for her own reasons, i.e. fame or appreciation for having such knowledge. It's quite odd, and I hope she doesn't continue, or defence attys will likely start having an easy time appealing on such testimony. All MOO, of course.

By the way Cardona's girlfriend had the name Gonzalez in it.....

An appeal for denial of postconviction relief.

http://www.oranous.com/florida/AnaCardona/sc00-1366Cardona.pdf

Cardona filed a motion for postconvition relief based upon 13 factors...

(1) Cardona was denied access to public records;
(2) no adversarial testing occurred due to (a) the cumulative effects of ineffective
assistance of counsel; (b) the withholding of exculpatory or impeachment material;
(c) newly discovered evidence; and (d) improper ruling of the trial court;
(3) the State withheld exculpatory evidence and presented false evidence, which rendered defense counsel ineffective; (4) ineffective assistance of counsel at the penalty phase;
(5) ineffective assistance of counsel at the guilt and penalty phases due to
the failure to provide background information to the mental health consultant;
(6) Cardona was incompetent for trial; (7) the prosecution made comments, asked
questions, and requested instructions, which were given by the trial court, that
diluted the sentencing jury's sense of responsibility, and defense counsel was
ineffective for failing to object;
(8) Florida's statute setting forth the aggravating circumstances is facially vague and overbroad;
(9) Cardona was denied effective assistance of counsel in pursuing her postconviction remedies because of the rules prohibiting Cardona's counsel from interviewing jurors to determine if constitutional error was present;
(10) execution by electrocution is cruel and unusual punishment;
(11) Cardona is innocent of the death penalty;
(12) the trial court's sentencing order does not reflect an independent weighing or reasoned judgment; and
(13) Cardona is insane to be executed.

Brady is referenced quite a bit in this motione AND pay very close attention to pages 12, 13, 14 and...

references to tape over the victims mouth!!! wrapped in a bedspread!! abandoned in bushes!!!! claims of leaving him on a doorstep.....

Wow.....it is so odd...the almost mirror references to KC's case.

Do I detect a thought bubble?????

If I were a gambler, I would bet on JB claiming work product for his argument.

I agree! These are the three most publicized cases involving young children as victims with women as perps in recent Florida history. No way, IMO, one jailhouse snitch could have info about them all. It's a scam on her part.

But then, why would Baez want the phone call sealed if it's so obviously a jailhouse scammer? If it's all bogus, why give it the attention by filing a motion?

From Rilya's case:

Lunceford said she received no promises of lenient treatment in exchange for her statement.

"There are criminals, and then there are monsters, and who could hurt a child but a monster, and why wouldn't I report that?" Lunceford told prosecutors.

http://www.sptimes.com/2005/04/08/State/Suspect_admitted_kill.shtml

Now, I can agree with her on that - there are criminals, and then there are criminals that even other criminals can see as monsters, such as child killers. I get that as a motivation.

My question is why/how has she been able to heroically help out so often?

Where Lazaro lived in the final months before his death became a central aspect for both sides.

Georgi, on Wednesday, stressed that landlords of the tiny Miami efficiency never saw the boy, and there was no eyewitnesses or blood evidence to show he was abused there.

``Who killed Lazaro?'' Georgi asked jurors. ``We don't know. But the state has not proven it was Ana.''

With all these similarities including the name Gonzalas, I wonder if the defence is going to say that the person responsible for that murder is responsible for Caylee and both mothers are taking the fall for a baby killer that LE cant catch... HMMMM,
No they arent smart enough to think of a defense like that.

I was thinking Casey was copying the Marilyn Kananon case with the duct tape and the double bagging but this sounds eerily more familiar

Too bad Olivia Gonzalez-Mendoza was released in Jan 2008 for good behaviour. If only she'd been behind bars in June 2008 we wouldn't have to worry about them cooking up a scheme along these lines!

Funny coinky dink....Olivia has a FB friend named "DORA". I am in no way implying that they have anything to do AT ALL with KC's case...just wonder if this case may have possibly...in a"backward kind of way" inspired anyone(s)?????

Please DO NOT link FB or name FB friends by full names or discuss friends. They have not been named in anything associated with KC.

Olivia was released and deserves her privacy as we have seen NOTHING officially linking her to KC's case.

I am NOT suggesting that there is an association...but rather pondering if this case may have been an "inspiration". There is a HUGE difference. Can I be anymore clear??? Likely no.... heehee

I totally get what you are saying Sleuth, I wonder the same thing or if the defense is trying to find enough of the same ties with other cases to create reasonable doubt... I am going to have to look further into this case, but I am starting to see the SODDI defence take shape, and how odd that JB wants the calls blocked, and all this about the defence trying to keep all these things hidden.

another "odd" thing the name Gonzalez-Mendoza.... almost like Fernendez-Gonzalez.. Maybe Casey in her "panic got the name wrong of the baby sitter that she had known for 4 years(<---sarcasim) but seriously is the - in spanish names common and the z?
