2010.07.19 Defense is Investigating George

Good grief! As a Florida taxpayer, I am appalled at the way they are throwing money away on something so ridiculous. Casey stated on the 911 tape that she left Caylee with the babysitter and the babysitter took her!

Well, she is basically saying her father is Zanny. Just take a look at her police report, and her interview with LE she swears all the information she gave is true. So, if George is now on the hit list by the defense, because he has damming testimony against his daughter they want to make him look unstable. His testimony was under oath, and KC even told the FBI officer she told her father the morning of the GJ testimony to "tell the truth", and he did.

Time to spin the wheel CM, and JB. Bet LA will be next!

I don't know about that Whome. After all, George said he'd "sell (his) soul to the devil" to get Casey out of jail. What's a little name re-building next to losing your soul? Not that George's reputation isn't already in tatters, :cow: LOVE that cow!

None of the live A's need to worry about their souls. Any juror could understand a father trying to save his daughter, but he is not Caylee's killer. GA is just as broken man with nothing to live for except a life with CA. What a terrible mess these people weave.

What happened to Zanny ?

Watch out George, the bus is shifting gears .....

LOL KC had an ID in her wallet and got tickets by the name Zeneida Gonzalez same age and a twin to casey...amazing isn't it? she paid the tickets before they went to warrant while with her buddy annie?

They have been plotting the blame George and Cindy now for awhile. they probably get all their ideas from all of our theories....I hope none of them work.

His health records can be release by subpoena, except for psychiatric records which I believe are protected from discovery. One of our legal minds might be able to weigh in on that. But as far as his regular medical and hospital records all JB would have to do is subpoena them and they can be released.

It's a little more involved than simply subpoenaing the records. Under HiPPA health records have a very very high standard of privacy. So in order for them to be subpoenaed there would need to be a very clear showing of cause proven before a judge. The defense could not simply file for them like they can summon a witness to a deposition. There is almost no way that JB and company would be able to legally get GA's medical or psych records unless he himself released them for review. If they were found to be in possession of such documents it would be a huge legal and ethical matter. I seem to recall reading somewhere that medical records that would be subject to HiPPA are one of the exceptions to Floridas Sunshine Laws, and would not be subject to a public document dump, even if they were legally obtained by either prosecution or defense. Am I remembering that right?

Wow. I login to check over here and find this info! WTF? The phrases, "You've got to be kidding me," and "You can't make this stuff up" keep running through my mind. TWA, I think you and I are going to hate that second phrase after this case is over.

Apparently the defense learned NOTHING from the last hearing! Like the SA isn't going to have every bit of paper and evidence they can find to demolish whatever idiotic attempt they are going to make to squash George under the bus. Desperation, defense, you're REEKING of it. I bet the SA is having a good ol' laugh over this one.

Hmmmm. Makes me wonder if George was having serious thoughts of switching teams, finally, and this is Casey's way of reigning him back in. And look no comment from Conway, not a reaction from Cindy. Like she's just going to let them investigate her husband when she's given them so many other people to investigate? If she is, is this throwing family members one by one to the wolves to see whatever gets Casey off at any cost? You gonna sacrifice yourself at some point, Cindy, after you help the defense throw George and then probably Lee under the bus?

WHEN DOES IT STOP? When does this insanity over freeing princess Casey STOP? When does CAYLEE freaking matter anymore? This is just ridiculous, and heartbreaking. All of this for a waste, a huge WASTE.

And I was wondering why Cindy admitted in the last hearing that she saw Caylee last on the 15th, and tried to pin know what the smell was on George. She's distancing herself from him, setting him up to be the fall guy, and I can't believe he's just going to let this happen unless she's taken certain brass items of his out of her purse and is now beating him with them. Good LORD.

Last chance, George. You either get out, or you're toast. I can't believe he'd be all lovey dovey and supportive of Casey at all after this. And what a monster, literally shredding her family to avoid responsibility. I'd love to hear what the naysayers have to say about this. I mean, seriously.

Wow, I get depression from the Kyron Horman case, which looks to be long haul, and not be to overdone, I get anger and frustration out of this case! I mean really, defense, do you have NOTHING left but to tear apart her family? Is that the best you've got after ALL of this time?

Makes me think Lee said I love you to Casey just so this wouldn't happen to him. Smart move on his part!

Maybe now her family will wake up and do right by Caylee.

Yeah, and stop putting skittles money in her jail account. If I remember correctly GA was the one who made the deposits into KC account.

THIS SAYS IT ALL!

Aedrys, your whole post was wonderful, but I really wanted the reiterate the impact of this short passage.

I don't honestly think CA will care in the least..... in fact, it helps her get George out of her life without having to give him half of the house... and maybe she won't have to share the blood money they may yet make off of Caylee's death in the future.....

Cindy will only care that the defense goes after someone if that someone is HER.

But I bet GEORGE cares right about now.....

JMO

George is tormented that CA is to blame for their daughter's arrest, so to show his love for her he will say whatever she wants. CA wants KC out of jail, so she won't be haunted by KC being injected with a death serum. This is all about the guilt CA feels for turning her daughter in for murder. Jeez she doesn't even believe Caylee is dead for God's sake, so why would she think KC should be on trial for Caylee's murder. Talk about double talk. First Caylee if alive then she is dead, and the defense is now investigating GA.

I can just hear the prosecution belly laughing now! Everytime another person gets thrown under the bus by the defense it makes the prosecutions case stronger against KC. Does the defense really think LE didn't investigate every member of the A. family already?

NO, I disagree Solace. "They" are not going to burn him over the coals... CASEY is the one who will burn him over the coals. Make no mistake. The defense answers to their client.. not the other way around. A defense can suggest tactics and a course of action to their client but ultimately.. it is CASEY'S decision. Casey is in full and complete agreement on this. She has proven over and over how she will stand her ground even when caught in outrageous lies that are so easily disproven. CASEY and no one else.. is burning her father over these coals. She does NOTHING she doesn't want to do. How George can even stand to look at her... continually shocks and surprises me.

wild

Yet GA was the one KC wanted to see when asked to pick from her family members. Doesn't make sense!

The sad thing is that they knew this was the plan and now it is happening. It started awhile back with the "suicide attempt". Cindy also said she wrote a suicide note. they know EXACTLY what is going on. It looks like Lee ain't going along with it but won't say anything.
The rest of them know including Bradley.

Well now that I already posted I probably should add that at different times, I did wonder if maybe GA was in on some kind of helping KC cover up AFTER the deed, and AFTER she had already disposed of Caylee's body. Thinking back.....I did wonder if GA didn't give some kind of advice or was just the person who guessed the truth & KC didn't deny it to him. I DO NOT think he had anything to do with Caylee's murder or her disposal BUT....in all honesty, I have wondered if he wasn't the one family member who had SOME kind of information on what KC did, not long after she did it.

MOO

I can see that. Sorta like Paul Van der Sloot helping Joran when he got rid of NH body, but that would make him an accessory to the crime KC still murdered Caylee.

This just makes me mad and sad. I thought Zanny the Nanny killed Caylee, then it was Jesse Grund (per Cindy), then Lee and George molested Caysey. So now George is being investigated. What a blow! He's done nothing but support her, and he HAD to go before the grand jury. If Caysey wants to prove sexual abuse with a letter written to another prisoner, go for it. But for anyone who's been really molested knows that the person usually tells a close personal friend, or a fiance (talking from personal experience). If she can't pull up a witness pre-jail, she's got no chance before the jury (IMHO).

What's the defense going to be now? Caysey was molested by Lee and George and couldn't sit by and watch Caylee go through the same thing -- OR, George was molesting Caylee? I am sad for George, and amazingly sad for Caylee. I wish someone in that family would take a stand for this precious little angel.

Thanks for letting me vent.

She has had two years to point her finger at GA. All those videos with her in jail talking, laughing with her father. Please. KC's just making herself look more and more guilty. No one is going to believe GA is guilty of anything other than lying to protect his daughter from the DP. This is how she shows her gratitude. GA would not be so stupid as to dump the body down the street between 9 and 1 Hopespring (4701 & 4709) and then tell KC to use it in her statement to police. It will be another "tissue paper" theory that we can all see through including a jury. Keep this up by the time of trial KC will have gone through the whole phone book in Orlando. jmo

This just goes to show you what JB, and CM thinks of the people of Florida. He thinks we are going to buy this b.s. because all us Floridians are only interested in is fishing, and sunning ourselves. Huge Mistake!!!! We are paying for this trial, and we are watching every move you make, because it's our tax dollars your wasting Mr. B. When this trial is over you will be black balled, and you know it.

Yeah, and stop putting skittles money in her jail account. If I remember correctly GA was the one who made the deposits into KC account.

OMG - exactly. Cut her off completely (that's the first thing I would do). I don't recall Lee ever putting money into her account. And didn't he (Lee) just about run out of the courtroom when he was done testifying the other day. GA definitely needs to switch sides!!!!

I'm still processing this whole deal, but these are the thoughts that permeate my mind right now:

GA was the one who tried to help Tim Miller by begging Casey to mark an 'X' on the map;

GA, after that episode, eventually ended up at the hotel with Tim Miller and the TES crew after Cindy supposedly threw him out for being 'disloyal';

GA was the one who, during his interview with LE (or the FBI?), tried to be as truthful as he could allow himself to be, even stating "I hope this goes no further than between the 3 of us";

GA was the one that did what he could to make Cindy face the truth by going to Sports Authority to confirm his belief that Casey did NOT work there and, true to form, was lying again;

GA was the one who was so distraught during his interview with LE that he actually had to leave to throw-up when discussing the possibility that his daughter could have murdered his beloved Caylee;

GA had obviously expressed his true feelings to his friend from Ohio (name escapes me, but former LE also) when his friend stated, "The answer is in THAT room and the b*tch won't talk";

GA was the one that called the cops when the gas cans were 'stolen' and I don't doubt for a minute he knew exactly who broke in that shed;

GA was the one who found an excuse to go to the trunk of the Pontiac despite Casey's tantrum and took his f'ing gas cans;

GA is the one who testified at the Grand Jury hearing who obviously had damaging testimony that helped to indict his daughter;

George & Cindy's separation was in large part due to disagreements over Casey;

and last, but certainly not least -

I don't believe for a minute that George is on board with this defense plot and willingly playing the role of sacrfical lamb. Yes, I know what he has said in the past, but his body language and his demeanor were real and sincere - his absences from several of the recent hearings post the sexual abuse allegations and especially his demeanor and body language at Thursday's hearings screamed anger, depression, disgust, hurt, betrayal... The pure iciness between he and Cindy - they appear to be on the verge of divorce, imo. I opined a few weeks ago that I think he is reassessing just how willing he is to lie down on those tracks as the train is heading for him....I feel that way more than ever today.

George needs to go spend a few weeks with his friend from Ohio and remove himself from the insanity and pressure. He needs to have a 'Come to meet Jesus' with himself...watch Bambi alone, watch home movies of Caylee and JoJo, go outside and look at the moon and stars -- just channel Caylee and remember how much he loved her and she loved him. Recall all the joy she brought into his life. Those are the influences George needs right now. That is what will help him work through his grief and give him new insight. He MUST get away from Cindy. She is pure poison for him right now, he might as well drink arsenic if he stays around her. George is an easy target and I am sure there was not a 1/2 second of thought about who would be the one to 'take one for the A team' 'cause they stand united, ya know?

Maybe there are things influencing him and giving his pause (other than Cindy, of course :rolleyes: ). Maybe he HAS done some things that he fears will be exposed (I don't doubt that at all) - either embarrassing or things that could cause potential legal problems....yes, even criminal. One thing I AM SURE OF, is that George did NOT murder Caylee. If that is the case, I wish the SA would offer him immunity for anything they possibly could and get him on their side...Caylee's side. Divided they WILL fall. I want Caylee's JoJo to be a hero for her.

I pray for George to finally muster the strength, confidence and independence to not allow himself to be used like this. I know she is your daughter, George and you love her, but Casey is a black widow who destroys everyone and everything in her path. Face it, Casey is already 'gone'. Enough people have suffered. Don't do it, George. Don't do it. Please make us proud. Most importantly, make Caylee proud. She needs her JoJo now more than ever. And you need to do it for yourself.

I'm not holding out a lot of hope, because George has never had an easy time of standing up for himself, but I'm pulling for him.

Standing Ovation to ya Beach ~ I so hope that if George is reading here tonight, or tomorrow - even next week, that he READS your words and takes them to heart.

He would have people stand behind him.
Yeah, they are gonna be angry that he kept this to himself, IF he does know anything, but it would be forgiven in time.

Oh no! Remind me to get my number unlisted! LOL

I'm wondering if they are doing this to use his instability (suicide attempt) as a way to discredit his grand jury testimony. In order for the defense to do this, they must be afraid of something GA knows or that they think he knows.

Ding, Ding, DIng. Best Post Of The Day!!!!!

We really don't know for certain exactly what George testified before the Grand jury, do we? We do know an indictment came down rather quickly, we know George had a very hard time of it that day, and we know that Mark NeJame was representing him. Ever since then, George did a 180 degree turnaround, and publicly proclaimed his support and belief in Casey's innocence. The suicide 'attempt' was rather questionable, IMO, (i.e., George letting Brad and Cindy know, detailed letter he wrote, ordering pizza and beer, not truly ingesting meds, had taken his Rx meds with him to hotel etc.) So again I am wondering if this isn't all part of the plan and has been all along, at least to help during the sentencing phase of the trial.

To answer your question, I do think perhaps George knows more than we think ("George, you're a man who knows a lot about a lot of things") but I wonder if George isn't also simply going along with a "saving Casey" crusade.

I totally agree with you 100%. GA believes he is the most well liked of the family, so he is the perfect choice to take part in this charade. This script was written a long time ago if you ask me.

I just hope at trial GA doesn't say a word about his suicide attempt. Once he opens the door it's fair game for the defense. I'm sure the DA will tell him this, but sometimes you just can't keep him from talking!

I wouldn't be surprised if GA did committ suicide, and left a letter saying he killed Caylee. If KC told her mother what happend, and I beleive she did in Oct 2008 when she was turning herself in the LE then GA knows, and he could easily put together a phony letter from all the facts known in this case
and admit he was the one who murdered Caylee.
