They have drugs for concentration and in reality its called depression..the pills take about 4-6 weeks to kick in she should be good to go. As far as greiving that could take a lifetime she may never get over it, I'm serious not being snarky. So she had better seek out some help so that she can manage her life and a good doctor would tell her as much.

She has to be seeing a Primary Care or Psych of some kind, to be continued on employment disability. They want frequent updates as to condition/plan of care/response and prognosis. Of course if you have a sympathetic Primary Care physician it's not difficult to get continued coverage. There will be much closer scrutiny when she applies for permanent disability via SSI .... it seems like that's her plan.
Many people are out there working every day , stressed, anxious, depressed and they have to suck it up and get on with it.
Some vigorous physical exercise would help her more than a lot of meds...
She could easily get a job as a Nurse, there are multiple choices for someone who does not want any direct patient contact..

from what I'veread this evening, it seems there was a fear of media involvement that caused the BOA to move faster. Seems a pity that the good people I know who are facing foreclosure don't have anything to blackmail their banks with.

<snipped>

Cindy is on disability and George lost his job. Lipton would not tell WFTV the amount of the new mortgage payment, but said it is 31 percent of their anticipated income.

“It was reduced to what they can afford,” Lippman said.

What??? Can everyone get that deal?

  • #44
It would not but it may show the Anthonys that there are consequences for their behavior. So the cruise, jewelry and tatoos just rub people who choose to pay the mortgage instead, the wrong way. If I were so devastated by what was going on in my life that I could not work and pay my mortgage I would not be entertaining the thought of the above activities. I hope all works out for you and for all of the people that are really trying. IMO

MY BOLD

Thank you. I appreciate your good thoughts, and I understand your position on the matter.

As far as I know the money that George and Cindy received from selling Caylee's pictures did not go to Casey's defense team. The money that Casey made from selling Caylee's pictures did. The money that George and Cindy made has more than likely gone towards things such as that cruise for 4, tats for them, Cindy's "work" done on her face, jewlry for them containing Caylee's (or not hers according to Cindy) ashes, Georges diamond earrings and who knows what else. I would say that they have also used the money for car payments, insurance on the cars, electric bill, phone bill, water bill, etc for them to still live in the home and drive their cars.

Again, there was two seperate deals dealing with pictures of Caylee. One was for Casey and the other was for Cindy/George.

ETA: Since the biggest spender that was in that house is now residing in jail then I would think that if both Cindy and George were working that they would be making more than enough money to pay their bills including their mortgage. The main reason for their financial problems to begin with was Casey stealing money from them and them paying for everything for her and Caylee.

MOO

Thank you. I wasn't aware of two deals, one benefitting the Anthony's. If it was around the 200k mark like Caseys then where did the money go (since it didn't pay the mortgage) and how can Cindy get unemployment assistance?

Here you go....the Anthony's got a payment of $20,000 for the 48 Hours Mystery special (well for the licensing of the images of the family, of course) http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/en...cus-her-family-is-like-the-three-stooges.html NBC paid $5,000 for a Cindy Anthony interview http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/nbc/more_caylee_anthony_photos_more_licensing_98181.asp , and for both of them to stay at the Ritz Carlton http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/abc/abc_news_pays_for_anthonys_stay_at_ritzcarlton_109152.asp and there were probably more like this I am assuming.....but the big money went to Casey herself to use in her defence http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser...aid_200000_to_casey_anthony_family_155547.asp ... sickening much?

So I can imagine the Anthony's burning through their share fairly quickly.

If I were an employer hiring nurses of any kind- advice nurses or otherwise, I wouldn't hire her! :snooty:Look at her poor professional judgement not recognizing an eight month pregnant woman, mistaking Chloroform for Chlorophyll, and mistaking the smell of human decomp for rotting pizza, not to mention cremating, having a memorial for, and wearing someone else's ashes when you claim your own granddaughter is still alive!!!:snooty::banghead::banghead::banghead:
Not to mention she had to be told to leave work to find her daughter, and the negative PR she's brought to Gentiva!!!
And... let's not forget her lack of Anger Management.

Ya know, it just makes me sick that neither Cindy nor George will get their A$$es out there and get jobs. Cindy isn't disabled! She is able to fly here and there for TV interviews, go on cruises, go shopping for her bling and clothes, etc. (Although she is now dressing and looking like a "grieving grandma" should look...all for effect, IMO) :furious:

And then there is "poor George"! No one will hire him because of the publicity it will bring. Well, dang...why doesn't he get a job in a call center...no one but your coworkers see you there!

IMO, the two of them should go work in the back at McDonald's and flip burgers. Other people are able to do it. I don't think I've seen any other family members in a murder case milk their "grief" as long as CA/GA. They deserve all the karma that comes their way. Puleeze! :furious:

If any of us were in their situation, we wouldn't get away with that. Most family members have to go back to work at least 6 weeks after a tragedy if not sooner. :furious:

Can you tell that I am a tad bit angry?

What I don't understand is if CA was on disability and was being treated why she is no better today than she was two years ago. She is still not back to work. The hearings are far enough apart that she could take time off to go to them. Sitting at home obsessing about KC's situation is making CA's condition worse than it has to be. Or is it that she just refuses to go back to work. They certainly can't help KC at this stage of the game and apparently there is no more call for them to be making public appearances. There are many people out there who have major problems and still manage to get up every morning and go to work and don't expect the rest of the world to pay for their problems. If she were physically ill I would understand but looking at the depos from Morgan she is capable or working. jmo
bbm
You nailed one of CA's disabilities=codependency.

  • #50
She says she can't concentrate. I guess I wouldn't be able to concentrate either if I had decided that I will be living a lie and so will my son and my husband. And I mean that in all seriousness. Wait until this trial starts and the prosecution comes out with all the details of this murder, Casey's life, George's lies, Cindy's lies, Cindy on TV lying, Cindy lying to the prosecutors, to the FBI, Cindy telling Ryan Paisley that Casey is a sociopath, and the list is endless.

She should probably start working out.
OR....she should enter into codependency recovery. She needs to accept that she is powerless over KC. She needs to let go of her need to control KC and her future. When she learns to accept that she cannot control others, she may regain her ability to concentrate and her life.

I was thinking the same thing!!! Going back to work would benefit Cindy in so many ways IMO! I understand that she has gone through a devastating experience, but sitting around on her bum isn't doing her any good! I think going back to work would be a very beneficial for her. George had a hard time maintaining job positions before Caylee was murdered. Can Cindy really depend on him to bring home the bacon and keep paying the mortgage - even if the payments have been lowered? She's always been the bread winner. You know.... she's probably got a book deal in the works and that's why she continues to sit home on disability. She's thinking she's going to make the bucks off a book someday. Who knows. It baffles me that they were somehow able work a deal with the bank. They had to show the bank somehow that they were good on the loan, but how? George hasn't had a good track record with money or a steady job, and Cindy currently isn't working. I don't even think she has kept her nursing license current.

It's been pointed out that Cindy demonstrated extreme incompetence, as a nurse, from the time she notified police that something was wrong, to the pregnancy, and when she finally gave information that the Winnie the Pooh laundry bag was missing (or was it the blanket). She has been mixed up about almost everything ... pizza - dead people, chloroform, memorials.

If I recall correctly, from the first hearing, George was 12,000 in debt and Cindy didn't know about it. The house was worth something like 197k or 157k, and I think about 120k or 160k was loan. House price fell, mortgage went up, Cindy is financially stuck without a job and with George hanging on for a handout. Any claim that they want to stay in the house because of Cayley, knowing that she may have been murdered in the house (they looked under the playhouse), is absurd.

Since Cindy appears to be incompetent in her job, what other skills does she have for job opportunities? Maybe she could she be the personal secretary in the Anthony home ... writing a book about her sad life getting tattoos and cruising when all is not well at home. Given the financial strife we're reading about in the family and defence team, she should prepare for the worst ... no more cruises when the rent is not paid. Hopefully the TV stations will put the money in the right place in the future, so Cindy can keep her house.

I'm guessing CA has put in a claim for SSDisability. Once her benefits run out, this, if she's approved on a mental status claim, she will get benefits from her
FICA payments made to SS..JMHO

I doubt very much CA has her job at Gentiva waiting for her. The Family Leave act only holds your job for 3 months so she doesn't have that job to fall back on..I doubt they want her back. JMHO

Leave Benefits

Family & Medical Leave

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides certain employees with up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year. It also requires that their group health benefits be maintained during the leave.

FMLA is designed to help employees balance their work and family responsibilities by allowing them to take reasonable unpaid leave for certain family and medical reasons. It also seeks to accommodate the legitimate interests of employers and promote equal employment opportunity for men and women.

FMLA applies to all public agencies, all public and private elementary and secondary schools, and companies with 50 or more employees. These employers must provide an eligible employee with up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave each year for any of the following reasons:

for the birth and care of the newborn child of an employee;
for placement with the employee of a child for adoption or foster care;
to care for an immediate family member (spouse, child, or parent) with a serious health condition; or
to take medical leave when the employee is unable to work because of a serious health condition.

I do believe taking meds might qualify her for SSDisability. I wonder if she's going this route??? As stated above, she can't depend on GA to hold one job for any length of time. I wonder if he's got anger problems that hinder his employment. He goes from one job to another to another...nothing is stable. JMHO

So Cindy is not working.

  • #55
As a former SSA disability adjudicator I can tell you she does not qualify for mental disability. She has not been hospitalized for her condition, she appears to care for her own hygiene, I've seen her driving a car which means she is able to remember and follow those rules/directions, she understands and responds to verbal commands (somewhat) appropriately. So inability to perform any work in the US economy would qualify her for disability, but until she is unable to take tickets at a movie theatre she won't be getting disability.

How did the families of other murderers ever get on with their lives?

One day at a time, and maybe alot of prayer.

Thanks Amil but I'm wondering if CA has that documented proof. She's been seeing a therapist or psycologist for the past two years. If she is on high powered anti-anxiety drugs or psychotropics, it might help her cause. She will not be able to function in her job if she can't think fast on her feet, or risks the chance of falling to sleep at her desk, KWIM?

If she has a good attorney, they may be able to win this for her, I'm not discounting it, totally...IMO, CA will find a way....JMHO

The last time I saw and heard Cindy speak on television, her demeanor and attitude and appearance were entirely different than on previous occasions.

How did the families of other murderers ever get on with their lives?

My mom went right back to work (after 1 week), after my brother was murdered some 27 years ago...I must admit, through this traumatic event, is how her cancer developed. 7 years later, my mom succumbed to her illness...

But at the time, I truly felt, my mother lost her life when she buried my brother. Making matters worse, no one was ever charged in his murder. So one can get away with murder..

My mother kept on going for the sake of me and my children. I think keeping occupied is the best way to overcome a murder of a loved one...JMHO

Rest Peacefully mom....I miss you :blowkiss:
